If I can find time to haul a bunch, a farmer near us has a ton of sandy compost I could dump in that patch…if the ground is dry enough by then to drive on.
It is actually from this morning. We got 1.75 inches of rain last night. Going to rain most days this week as well. Haven’t given up on this patch quite yet.
Well… I’m sure they’ll eat any cucumber beetles they come across at least.
I like your positivity! Better attitude than I am starting to have with this patch and all of the rain.
Great pest control
Yes it is!
Oh wow!
I used to hear frogs all the time when I was younger, haven’t heard them like this in years!
I normally hear them in the distance at my uncle’s pond. Never this close and not in my giant pumpkin patch.
is this a good thing or would you say bad?
Not great in my mind. Not worried about the frogs. Just worried about how wet the patch is for frogs to want to move in.
Natural bug killer
Maybe they will eat those nasty black gnats that keep biting me every time I go in that patch.
I see truck loads of soil being delivered in the fall in your future….

Well, if that area doesn’t pan out for your pumpkin you could probably grow rice🌾 🌾🌾
