Great tutorial! In our MSP work, we frequently pair these Yealink models with Thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX setups. The combination of quality hardware and a reliable PBX solution is unbeatable. Appreciate you sharing this valuable content!
Great video. Thanks. Admittedly an advanced topic, but any interest in doing a video on how to work with the configuration file on the phone? I am trying to figure out how to change the delay between when a number is entered on the keypad and when the number is dialed (~2-3 seconds). I gather that this change is done in the configuration file, but can't quite figure out how.
Really enjoying your videos on Teams phones. Could you do a video on how to set up a Yealink MP56 as a shared phone in a department (multiple employees) or lobby phone.
Thanks! In general, you’ll need to buy another phone license called Common Area Phone that also cost about $6-$8 a month. There’s more to that so yeah, I’ll need to make a video on it.
Great video! Just today I got an MP56 and I am configuring it and learning. One issue I have though is that the "Connect a Device" does not see my PC. My PC is plugged into the phones PC Ethernet port as instructed. I wonder could it be a default Windows Firewall setting that is blocking the YeaLink? Both my PC and MP56 phone are using my Teams Microsoft Credentials. Same login. Any ideas? Thanks.
It could. First, be sure the phone is completely updated. Both the firmware and the apps running on it. You would check that in Teams Admin Center > Teams Devices. You might want to look into "Better Together" also to enable that learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/teams/new-csteamsipphonepolicy?view=teams-ps. But, honestly it might be with your network as well. Have you got it solved?
I have trouble answering multiple calls coming in, placing one call on hold to answer 2nd incoming, getting back to 1st call and transferring call and then getting back to 2nd caller without one of the calls dropping.
It’s in an option you can enable in the device settings when you login to the phone via IP address. It’s called screen capture. To be clear, you can’t control the device from the browser but just view the screen. After you enable the setting, go to /screenCapture
Is this phone good for replacing a Poly Trio 8800? (Functionality and quality wise) We have the Trios setup in small huddle rooms, we login the Trio as the room account, it enrolls in company portal, appears in Teams admin center. Then we connect the Trio via USB to the huddle room PC, this way people can use the Trio as a speaker/mic from the room PC, or if they just want to make a call without logging in to the room PC, they just go to calls on the phone touchscreen and dial whatever number they want or search for a person. Thanks!
I can't speak to the quality of the sound but you can set this up as a Shared Device so that anyone can dial without a particular user. Requires a shared device user and license. Would also needs it's own dailing plan or can join a Shared Calling Plan at no additional cost.
Hi I have a question do you know if yeahlink phone gives you an option to upload a mp3 file for your voicemail. Instead of using your voice for voicemail.
Not sure if you can in Yealink directly without Teams. I setup these phones only with Teams. In Teams you can upload your own audio for the voicemail message.

Interesting. Haven't heard of that one. Glad this helped!
Great video. Do you know how to clear the Recent call history or pin protecting the voicemail?

How do I add a caller; conference call functions?
Yeah. Might need to go to the 3 dot menu > Merge calls.
What phone service does this use? Possible to synch your iPhone to it and make calls that way? In addition to teams calls through company computer?
It’s using Microsoft as the phone service. But you can use others as well. To use on your, just download the Teams app.
Is there a way of factory resetting it
Yes. Typically still requires an admin password. One of my videos on the Yealink phones should have a link to the support page.
Is there a call folding button?
Call holding? Yes
Great tuto thank you Bogdan !
How do you record video of the screen of the phone ? Not only screencapture ?
It's actually just screen capture. I have to keep refreshing the browser to show the updated screen capture ;)

Is this all on a soft phone? It happens every time?
Great information.
Bogdan, can you indicate something related to Yealink Management Console and Intune Integration?
Honestly, haven't used that yet. Purely run through Microsoft Admin Center.
How do I get my Yealink Teams phone off of Out of Office? Thank you.
It ties in with “out of office” set in Teams. Also, if you could have turned on call forward in settings > calling
How are you controlling and viewing the mp56 display inside of a web browser?

how to lock phone if we are not in seat ?
You need to add your pc as a device in the phone settings. It then will have an option to lock with PC. Does not work with Mac.
