Great stuff Scott, had my D23 Navara tuned here in Melb 3 years ago, but I can feel it needs a freshen up, any recommendations on who to go with? Cheers.
I wrote to Haltech a while ago, asking them whether they were going to do ECUs for diesels. Reply: No. Good to see Scotty getting to play with diesel engines
Thanks for the video Scott. My new N80 will be arriving early in the new year (hopefully). I currently have a N70, I use an iDrive throttle controller and was considering it for the N80. There is a marked difference between stock and even auto mode on the iDrive. Have you ever done or heard of results on the dyno using a throttle controller?
There is not, the engine power is the same however the throttle to pedal relationship is adjusted in order to demand more engine power at a power pedal position
Is there anything like this for 2017-2021 MUX/DMAX? Otherwise, what's the best way to go for getting a good, safe tune for the 4jj1? The lag is killing me 💀
Hi Tuning Fork please respond. I have a 2018 Prado with the pre update 450Nm 1GD engine and I dont trust most tuners. What kind of figures would I be looking at after a tune?
@DieselDivision At the moment just STD 3.2, but looking at an upgraded intercooler, 3" dpf back custom exhaust. I would like to increase throttle response and reduce down low turbo lag. Maybe somewhere between 500 and 600 Nm torque would be good..... 👍
It’s a combination of factors, but meeting emissions standards in every territory, as well as leaving headroom for power increases as the platform ages are both big ones
Great video Scott!
Thanks guys, very much appreciated
Man I'm a huge fan of mcm since I was a kid. I worked hard and got my hilux a couple years ago and now I am extremely happy to see scotty tuning this.
Cant wait to see some 4jj1 action!
Hot damn, I've no interest in diesel vehicles, but I'll watch a video done by you any day!
Thanks mate! You guys are doing amazing work
Great video and information scott.
Keep up the great work.
Have been tuning for years, and always wanted to break into diesels and learn and tune. Would love to give this software a go.

Great video dude. Can't wait to see some diesel content
SUBSCRIBED!! loving the content thank you!!
Hi Scott! I noticed the file was a “DPF off file” was there a notable difference between Dpf on and Dpf off
They won’t tell you anything for legal reasons 🤣

Awesome vid Scotty, and now your 77th subscriber
How good are his videos
Incredible result, well done.
Awesome video mate, thank you. 😊 Is there going to be a Stand alone diesel ECU coming from Haltech?
Great video. Couple of questions. Do you know if the new 250LC Prado has the same system? Also what are the effects on fuel economy? Cheers
this needs more 'page up'
pgup for smonk
Hahahah - it’s up already!!

Wait, is this a Haltech subsidiary???
Hey Scotty, any chance you can share what OBD to USB adapter you have? Thanks!
Nice one Tuning Fork!! Subscribed 👍🥂
Great video mate very informative. Is much gains in tuning a 2016 Hilux compared to the Gen3 engine?
The Gen2 does respond very well, with around a 100nm gain at the wheels, not as much as the Gen3 but still impressive
great info! any solutions for the 1KD?
There are, drop me an email at scott@tuningfork.com.au and we can go through the options
Change of scenery mate? Some setup on the go for the DMAX?
Justautos predominantly work on Toyota's only nowadays, not saying they don't possibly have anything in the works
Different method, but great results on the 4JJ1 and 4JJ3, drop me a message and I can let you know some expected results
@@DieselDivisionpretty please convince them to do a Dmax !! Still running the original HKS FCON-D from Just Autos. Time for an update I think
Yeah would be awesome what they can do with the 4JJ

Targeting 312KPa in the low end - Hectic effort for a stock turbo (~30psi boost)

On this episode of Haltech heroes 😅
What does a V6 Ranger put at the wheels?
Great video Scotty, good to see you tinkering with Diesel's, is there a similar flash software for px series Rangers?
Not as clean and simple as Easytune but there are options, let me know what you are working with and I can let you know the best way forward

Do they offer any software for Kia/hyundai ?
Wow…you’re famous😊
Is there a solution for the Paj Sport?
There is, send me a message and I can give you an idea of expected outcomes
Wait. Is he still at haltech??
That's what I'm asking myself 🤔
Absolutely mate, but I’m passionate about all things tuning - the diesel world has intrigued me for nearly 10 years now
Please do a 2021 3.2 ranger 😊or you can give me a price and use my Ute
Why doesn't the vehicle come standard like that from factory? Even half the gains achieved is a massive improvement.
It’s a combination of factors, but meeting emissions standards in every territory, as well as leaving headroom for power increases as the platform ages are both big ones
PLEASE do a review on the rg Colorado
Does this turn off egr?
If that’s something that’s required it can be done
Anything like this for 2018 np300?
There are, drop me an email at scott@tuningfork.com.au and we can go through the options
So are you still haltech ?
100% But I can still love diesel too!
Can you do Kia diesels?
I don’t sorry, what area are you from and I might be able to recommend someone
