It came as a huge shock but luckily we caught it early and it didn't spread so it's just a matter of getting through treatment. Please watch till the end.

For encouragement. My 63 birthday today. I had an incurable (back then) sarcoma in my right thigh. I was 17. Yes 17. That's 46 years cancer free. I was given less then 5 years. I partied, spent money, you know, what a 17 year old would do. Then I noticed it was 6 years, then 7 years, then I thought "oh shit!". I pulled my life together, became a certified cancer nurse, had 3 fantastic children ( another thing the doctors said was impossible) and here I am. Old and wrinkled. God bless you. Use your youth to fight this. ❤

I wonder if your immune system had a unique mutation in it that allowed it to detect the cancer cells and fight them off, or the cancer just mutated early on to die off on its own.

@@nerdcuddles7731 our immune system fights cancerous cells all the time and most times we dont notice. This is a surprise to most folks to know that cancer cells are eliminated a lot more frequently than they become symptomatic

As a 1 time breast cancer 🎀 warrior, I know a tiny bit of how you feel mentally, it's a horrible thing to have basically embedded in your brain so almost all your thoughts are constantly going to cancer, and not to mention the worst of it, the physical treatments. Stay positive and laugh often because I believe laughter is a big healer. ❤❤❤

Hi Mike, I am a stranger here, your video popped up and I decided to watch. I was in your shoes when I was 25 ( diagnosed with breast cancer), and I lived 34 years cancer free. It just came back in different form in different place stage 4. But I am appreciative for the wonderful 34 years treatment free. Don’t give up hope. Stay positive, eat healthy - surely it will help you to go through everything. Don’t panic. Nobody knows, even doctors. Believe.. I am praying for you, my friend!!!❤❤❤

My mom survived breat cancer and it was in her lymph nodes, too, back in the early 2000's. My 9 yr old little brother wasn't so lucky in 1972, however. God bless you for sharing your story with us!🎉❤😊
@@carynmartin6053 I am so sorry about your brother…. My lymph nodes were affected too under the armpit. They removed a majority of lymph nodes, I went through chemo and radiation after. About 10 yrs later developed a lymphoedema, but I was managing it and keeping under the control, didn’t let it get bigger. I hope you are doing well and remember- despite all the theories in the world and science- miracles happen!!!!

Wow, the response to the Chemo on your eye blew me away. I'm in the medical profession and to see such a positive response to the treatment is a tremendously good predictor for the outcome of your cancer journey. Wow, what a wild ride you've been on. I'm on a similar ride myself.
On May 17 of this year, I was driving my truck about 35 mph and blacked out for a couple of seconds, causing me to crash into a vehicle in front of me, totaling my truck. Was taken to ER where a CT scan showed that I had two masses in the right side of my brain. Surgery was done to remove them both, and pathology showed them to be malignant neuroendocrine cancer tumors that had metastasized from somewhere else in my body, i.e., stage 4. Had the wreck not happened, I would not have known, so wouldn't be under the treatment that I am now. And I could have been doing 80 mph down the interstate when it happened, which would have been a much worse outcome. So, I see the wreck as a blessing from God that saved my life.

when I woke up one day from a raging headache I still went to work, felt like crap then got to the point where I couldn’t even stand. My boss sent me to the hospital and I was there from 7am-1030pm and that ONE doctor came in but with many other white coats to tell me I was young from an EXTREMELY rare bone disease that has no cure and no treatment and then just walked out. That was in 2017 and my tumor was the size of a quarter its 2024 and it’s now covering 86% of my skull. I understand fully what you went through and I am so sorry you had to go through this. I hope that you’re doing better now
What? I am sorry to hear about this but did you get a second or third opinion? I mean just to be sure! That sounds so hard to believe that there is no kind of treatment for your illness! Is there anything, at least any medication? You must be in a lot of pain! I am sorry that I am sound like I am being so nosy but I just can’t believe there is no treatment for you. 😮 I have compassion for your situation and I will pray for you because it is quite rare to hear of an illness or condition that has no treatment. I hope that you are finding strength and some kind of way to get through it and deal with the pain and discomfort of your illness. May God give you peace and comfort and heal your pain and your illness ❤❤❤

Was your sister able to be saved? Is this the type of cancer which can be diagnosed with a retinal scan? I have a dot at the back of my eyeball which my option said could be treated with a piece of cardboard treated with radioactive material placed on the dot. ( Which seemed excessive) Then he sold the business & I'm left worrying about this spot. It's been a couple years & other visits show no change but I'm often thinking what if??

So glad you’re feeling better I’m praying for you I lost my husband to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma my mother to liver cancer, my sister to acute myeloid leukemia and my brother to brain cancer. I was just a few years of each other. I’m so happy every time I hear someone is getting better from cancer, even though my family couldn’t get better. Your eye already looks so much better and while the no exercise/chemo side effects are a worry, they are only temporary and your health long-term is the most valuable thing. Thank you so much for the support!! The no exercise is only till August 9th which is certainly annoying but manageable. Side effects are another story. We’ll see what happens.

Knowing 1 in 2 will get cancer at some point. Seeing someone diagnosed with a visible cancer is something else. You've deffo raised awareness for everyone. Good luck dude.
Visible cancer is extremely rare. I think it’s better off this way though. Because we caught it quickly. Appreciate the support.
gotta remember that cancer under 45 is always rare. any doctor can tell you this. does it happen? yes. but the 1 in 2 stat is mainly due to older age (55 and over).
seeing anyone who gets it at young ages under 40 is always a shock, not really common but sad at the same time :(

It’s a journey, I’m cancer free today but I’ve bounced back and forth between positive for cancer and remission.14 mths ago diagnosed stage 3 rectal cancer, 2 mths of a trial lonsurf oral chemo and radiation, then 6mths of iv chemo and 2 surgeries. Hang in there and live each day a your last as this is true for everyone, not just cancer patients. God loves you and keep your faith. You are strong and we have good medical care these days.

I appreciate how articulate you are about your cancer ordeal. I have had cancer twice in my lifetime, but I am old enough to be your mother. I hate that someone your age has to go through this. Michael, thank you for sharing your experience what happened to you. I am a third year med student studying overseas. I've heard that many young people as you, are getting diagnosed with cancer. I don't know what is going on but it is alarming. Your testimony is important because it raises awareness on young adults like yourself to get check early.
It is definitely alarming to see that otherwise healthy kids like me can have their life turned upside down at the drop of a hat. Very strange but hopefully awareness is raised.

At 35 I was sent home from the ER with kidneys failure TWICE in a week. I have potentially fatal TTP. A clotting disorder. Have had it again after my first transplant. I just turned 64. Have had this transplant 11 years. Had some 20 surgeries and a total of 11 years of dialysis in between the 2 transplants. Keep on keeping on. I know cancer is different but don’t let it stop you. Lean on your loved ones. I’m praying for your recovery. You are amazing!

Michael, blessings to you and your family. Adonai Elohim is good. He knows the end from the beginning. He knows what it takes to bring us to the place he wants us to be, as a man of that brings honor to his name. I am happy for you that this cancer was diagnosed in its beginning stage. In all fairness to the doc that was so blunt in his delivery of such devastating news, in their training, they are discouraged from connecting with their patients on an empthetic level, either that, or he is just has no heart. That is possible, too. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and several of my friends. It's a devastating diagnosis. Let us give thanks for every day and love one another. Thank you for sharing your journey. Shalom.
