Nice and useful video. Looks to be a good bit of kit. Very sensible thinking. I think you should always have multiple options with sleeping and cooking etc.

...are the black plastic connectors for poles reliable? I have seen similar type of awnings with metal connectors. Wonder which one is better

All I can say is I have had zero issues with them. I have had them in some serious wind conditions as well.

Hi, are there various mounting bracket options...im looking for something for my Jeep Wrangler but it has a gazelle pop top conversion,.

Yes. I had the brackets from my Tuff Trek 270 awning already on there. But ARB make brackets as well. And I’m sure there are plenty more.

Axe Overland rad, all good dude. I’m just about to buy one of those 270 awning for my jeep is it worth getting. I tend to be on my own a lot and do one day missions in Wales. But I’m on the road for two weeks soon with the family, not sure on getting the 270 now after watching your video. Was thinking of the 2.5 awning with the room

Looks like a nice piece of kit Scott. Do Tuff Trek manufacture their own equipment?

    • @AxeOverland

Cheers mate, and I’m Not 100% sure. Am hopefully dropping by there in a couple weeks. I’ll ask.

@@AxeOverland it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be China. Most of the roof top tents are made in the same Chinese factory and just rebranded. But as long as the quality is there and it keeps the cost down......

      Will ask mate.
