@@ScottBalkum hi I would like to know what year it’s your sprinter van and if you need Sprinter has original radio without the camera.., i’ve got the same camera camera still working but I cannot program at it and... I did the same like you did... and didn’t work... what’s that can be ?
@@viorelv6486 Mine is the 2016. As long as your bought that little device from MidCity, it should work if your year is supported.It took me several tries to get it working, performing the process they instructed before it worked.

+energyman- Exactly, add to that the camera only works when you are in reverse. I didn't get the factory unit specifically because of these limitations. I went aftermarket and set mine up to be on all the time with the direction set much further out. Also, there are rear cameras that DO NOT have the back up lines.

Just bought a 2017, how can I check to see if I'm pre-wired for a camera?
Best way is to remove the 3rd brake light and see if there are 2 extra cables that aren’t connected to anything
Hi, i have a question for you. I bought the same reversing camera and the LED module that was on the oryginal does not fit. Mercedes sprinter w 906 2011. Did you have any problems ?. Please help.

My Sprinter came with a backup camera that is pretty much useless. Need to see farther behind the car. Can't tell from your video how far back you can see.
It is not as much as I would like. It is more than the stock camera. I can't see the horizon. I can only see about 15-20' back. The other oddity is this camera is much wider than stock so the lines on the screen don't reflect the width of the vehicle. This camera is adjustable for angle but even pointed back as far as it can, it doesn't see more than 20'
Just an update for you. I checked the camera the other night and realized it was not pushed all the way back. I pushed it back and you can see the horizon now. So this is a much wider camera than stock. That being said, the parking lines are almost useless as they do not signify the width of the van any longer.

Has everything except those cables?
You need a RCA to FAKRA adapter cable and whatever adapter will connect to your camera kit for power.

How can I tell if my 2015 "crew" has the pre-wire kit or not?
Take the rear light off and see if you have the little bundle of wires with the little connector on it.
I'm looking to add this camera to my 2011 VW Crafter, do you know if your head unit is a RCD 3002 to RCD 4002? I'm not sure if mine will work as it has no Navi option, but has bluetooth option and phone controls, does yours have Navi?
