The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, often shortened to Hamlet, is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare at an uncertain date between 1599 and 1602. Set in the Kingdom of Denmark, the play dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet is instructed to enact on his uncle Claudius. Claudius had murdered his own brother, Hamlet's father King Hamlet and then taken the throne, marrying his deceased brother's widow, Hamlet's mother Gertrude.
Summary:

I must say listening to the book as i read along is much more helpful then me trying to read it on my own. I was able to understand it much better.. Thank-you.

It is a bit different than the Folger edition.
That is how I read Shakespeare. I have to hear the different voices to help me analyze the text.
Plays were written to be seen not read to oneself.
Who is here because you rather listen to audiobooks than reading it yourself? This audiobook is really well done and voice acting is top notch. Props to everyone involved and uploder as well.
Thank you so much for doing this. I really appreciate it. Hamlet speech at the end of the second scene was very well read.

thx
Thx
thanks
Thnx!!!!
Oh good job, thanks!
I have no idea why people are praising the person reading Hamlet's part. He sounds like a teenager bored with the material just droning through his lines.
Of this cast, Polonius is far better.
to be fair, hamlet is a lot like a teenager bored with the material he's been given
@@andrewreynolds7920 And isn't Hamlet actually around the age of a teenager?
@@ev6564 he's actually canonically around 30 in the play
@@andrewreynolds7920 Oh ok thanks for answering me. I heard in class that he might be around the late teen years in age but it was just speculation.
@@ev6564 you using class as an evidence for your claim
I have an English test on all of Hamlet tomorrow and have not even opened the book wish me luck.
What’d you get?
nah you must have been screwed. how'd you do?

Did hamlet just say call someone a strumpet
I need to know who the reader of Hamlet's parts are. I could listen to him everyday
SAAAAAAME OMG
I have a copy of the 1974 riverside Shakespeare. Why is it different?
Why does Hamlet kind of speak like Critical, but with a higher pitch
30:46 - "What speech, my lord?" "I heard thee speak me a speech once..."
Is it just me or does Polonius sound like the narrator from Stanley Parable?
HAHAHA It's probably his older brother
i have the updated folger version of this book and im kinda confused. is there different versions of hamlet??
Yep
I would appreciate it if you put more emotion when speaking :(
Can someone tell me the timeline for scene 2
I like the players voice

Is it just me or does the voice for Hamlet sound kinda 😳😳
Why are rosencrantz and guildenstern voiced by females? I'm all for equality, but its just distracting knowing they are supposed to be male -_-
Poo
The voice acting is bland and terrible
its better then nothing, ill tell you that. like some of them are pretty good.
Other than hamlet the voice acting is terrible
Oh no. Please do not cast the wrong genders. Spoiled by this.
