  • Learn Spanish through simple everyday conversations and stories with native spanish speakers from Spain and Latin America. Very easy Spanish lessons that will help you to improve your language skills. This is the episode #10 of Español en Contexto and in it Miguel, our Spanish friend, will describe a typical weekend for him. It's a bit long but it's totally worth it. I assure you that you'll learn a lot because Miguel will use different expressions, common sayings and vocabulary that you can use in many other contexts. By learning new words in the right context you will remember them easily and you will be able to start using the Spanish you learn in this lesson right away.
    If you are just starting to learn Spanish I recommend you to watch these videos too:

    I have found the content of this video along with nine others so far in the series “Spanish stories for beginners “ to be very useful for improving listening comprehension skills because of the methodology of a slow reading with the written text first and then a reading at normal speaking speed at the end interposed with a section on vocabulary. They have also helped me expand my vocabulary- especially idiomatic - and with pronunciation. Excellent content I would strongly recommend.

      I recently started watching your videos. I spent 3 to 5 hours a day watching other Spanish videos, your videos are now my favorite ones to watch. Thank you so much for such well thought out and well planned lessons. I really like how you gave several examples of everything you explained. I find the examples of the 3 tenses of the verb "dar" to be very useful. I appreciate your time and effort in giving me many useful tools and tips to improve my Spanish. Muchísimas gracias!

    Research show that Reading While Listening (RWL) improves fluency. You are way ahead of the game. You should create the transcripts for "Learn Spanish with Daily Life Stories" (even if for a small fee). This will allow us to highlight vocabulary that needs focus. Perhaps at some point you might even consider adding a hover feature so that we could hover and see definitions if we get stuck on a word. What if one day you could do this in the actual video? Just a thought. Thank you for being such an important part of my journey.

    ¡Hola! Me gusta mucho esta lección.Pero, tengo dos preguntas. ¡ Vale! En la oración " Ser médico o enferermero debe ser muy agotador.¿ Por qué no usa la palabra " agotado" en vez de "agotador"? Tambien , en la oración:" Cuando todos duermen , las calles son apacibles. ¿Por qué no usa el verbo "están" en vez de "son"? Gracias por su repuesta , por favor.

    • @UseyourSpanish
      @UseyourSpanish  4 роки тому

      Hola Reynold, me alegra que estés disfrutando de mi contenido. Con respecto a tu primera pregunta te respondo con ejemplos; cuando dices agotado te refieres a que una persona está cansada (yo estoy agotado, tú estás agotado, you are tired, etc). En cambio cuando usas la palabra agotador te refieres a que una cosa causa cansancio (trabajar es agotador, estudiar es agotador, working is exhausting, etc). Con respecto a tu segunda pregunta, ambas formas son correctas en este contexto. Ya sé que la diferencia entre ser y estar es a veces confusa. Las calles son apacibles o las calles están apacibles significan más o menos la misma cosa en este contexto.
