As well as the grand architecture and regeneration efforts, the city is always famous for being the birthplace of William Wilberforce.

I left Hull nearly 3 yrs ago and i can honesty say, the only thing i miss is a patty butty! 👌
I miss a putty batty!
I lived in Hull for over 30 years and I go back to Hull twice a year for a week to see my family, who live in Anlaby, we stay in the Gilson Hotel . its always good to come back to Hull every year.
What's the biggest changes you've seen over that time
Wow that’s a bad hotel to stay in nice and cheap though
@@Kris_1708 well i do come across a lot of complaints but they are stupid complaints like its too noisy etc when its in the middle of a city. anyway we always enjoy it there, at least its better than Hotel Camponile up the road.
@@Kris_1708 we enjoy it there, we have been going twice a year for a week and we enjoy it there, I see my family from there, they live in Anlaby. the complaints that the Gilson Hotel gets some of them are silly complaints like, it was noisy at night etc, well it is in the middle of a busy city, its not for everyone but I used to live in Hull so I am used to it.
@@WalkRainorShine the shops, many of the shops I used to know are shut down now. every time I go to Hull I notice different thins in the centre of Hull and Anlaby road too
I miss my home town hull
Going back down today ironically enough
Yes I miss it too.
❤
Wow, I left Hull 18 year ago, hardly recognised some of this, especially the bridge going to the Marina. Another thing where are all the people, it used to be busy all the time.
Even more development planned around the marina area apparently...
It is busy on a weekend tbf
Old town? where?...you hardly touched it pal.
Anyone from India going to Hull university? 😭
Are you starting after summer?
Yes this September!
from Pakistan inshallah for September
i am from the netherlands and going to hull in september
@@robinmeffert7638 for studies?
Why does Hull get a bad wrap?
Over the years I've visited I've seen a massive change and upgrade in the city centre...outside of the city I can't really say
I don't know why too, I live in Warwickshire but I am from Hull, me and the wife go back to Hull for a week twice a year for a week to see my family who live in Anlaby and we enjoy it.
Because in 2005 they wrote a book of crap towns Hull was number one and the stigma has sticked
Cos' it's crap.
@@Kris_1708 Sticked? Ha ha...Fukky knell...no one in Ull' can spell.
no litter
This is Hull city center not Huĺl take a walk round Bransholme Greatfield Longhill bothferry estate . That is Huĺl not this loverly place you depict
the title of the video clearly says, "Hull City Centre"
Yes sorry didnt see that
@@stevensteele364 my bro lives down in Hull and he says he couldn't agree with you more! When he first moved down all he really saw was the city centre... Was only until he saw some of the places you mentioned that he realised what it was really like.
@@WalkRainorShine i was born and bred on Bransholme and only very rarely went to town it was a big deal if you went to town
@@stevensteele364 I'm on bransholme to lol its still the same and has been since I've lived here. It takes 45 mins to walk from Snowden way to Leeds Road to put in perspective of how big the estate is and a further half hour from Leeds Road to the town center
Hull crap glad I left
Haha I don't blame you...
There's a coincidence!
