Love this Shad, like minded campers, there’s nothing better than finding your people. I was impressed to see someone use a travel buddy to cook something other than pies & sausage rolls. Your passion for outdoor adventuring is contagious. You leave us longing to get back out there.
Taken the Shad Shack on the track out the back your no Hack and didn’t stack 👍 Mate . When the Shacks a Rockin don’t come a Knocking , it’s Shad time 🤪🤪 She’s a quick set up and pack up , I see ya had plenty of filming time watching all the other lads pack up lol . Great place by the looks sure wish I’d done more exploring around when I lived in Sydney but any time ya stick it in low and away ya go is good tracked closed or not 👍 thanks again Shad for the effort mate well done 👍
Love the Troopy set up. Too bad we can’t do that with our Pajero coz it gets regular ‘car’ use as well. We get by though 😅 Great video as always. You always seem to find the good spots for a camp.
Nice video Shad, pity about Mt Airly gate being locked. Last time I attempted to head up there it was locked up as well. Didnt take long for the NP to stuff another great camp spot for the family.
Another ripper video. Never seen thoae ruins before, awesome! Also, 2 hands on the wheel for beginner troopy drivers please!! Ahhaha be spewin if ya stacked it whilst recording.
Great clip mate and lovely spots indeed. Can I just say though, I struggled to find one good Land Cruiser at the right price and you've now got 2 !! Between you and Ronnie Dahl, are you guys going to leave any for the rest of us ?! 🤣🤣🤣 Love your work as always, thanks for sharing.
Those ruins look wicked mate, it would be mad to see them. That spot where you found the locked gates into Airly is the same spot we went a couple years back and found the same. From my understanding they will not be reopening and are closed due to mine subsidence making the area unsafe. That is at least the excuse I've found. Turon Nat Park is a nice drive with some good river crossings. Water levels looked low from when I was there. Also, nice set up in the Troopy. How damn good is it to be able to pull up and set up in literally minutes.
Yeah they do open that gate sometimes, Turon really is a nice spot , its very popular these days though. The troopy is awesome for a quick setup. Thanks for watching mate 👍🤠
Really awesome to sleep in , nice to drive but haven’t really had it offroad as such , just mainly easy firetrails but that was the okan anyway. Once it warms up be interesting sleeping in the back , might have to put a fan in there. Seems better on fuel than the 76 as well 🤠👍
Hot water, milk, and brown sugar, it's a sogie treat then, no longer a crunchy cereal. Seriously, always had hot water & milk, winter, summer, never knew any different until wifey came along, it was cold milk only for her, liked the crunch factor apparently.

Thanks guys , we had a great weekend, i love that troopy 🤠👍
Loved the ruins, would love to see more. Thankyou
Yeah there are some good ones there. From the early nineteen hundred’s
Fantastic thanks Shad for sharing your travels with us 👍
Thanks for tuning in mate, really appreciate the support. 🤠👍
Great to see the Troopy in action. Another enjoyable weekend.
Glad you enjoyed it
That was a cool trip, love how you can rock up and sleep in the back with minimal setup.
Yeah so easy mate , still love my swag though. Thanks for tuning in 👍
Good crew you had for the weekend mate. Looking forward to see what’s coming for the troopy. 🤙🏻
Cheers mate 👍👍
Nice simple winter trip! Looks like the Troopy is going to work out as your quick escape to camping vehicle.
Yeah its actually better than i thought for this stuff, we have a fridge in there now too 👍. Picked up a second hand engel
Definitely much better than the 76 for camping with all the extra room in the back.
Yeah for sure , definitely a bit more room

So good hey , im finally quicker than those rooftop boys 😂😂
Love the Troopy set up. Too bad we can’t do that with our Pajero coz it gets regular ‘car’ use as well. We get by though 😅 Great video as always. You always seem to find the good spots for a camp.
Thanks so much , yeah we are lucky its not our daily driver. Thanks for watching again 🤠👍👍
Nice video Shad, pity about Mt Airly gate being locked. Last time I attempted to head up there it was locked up as well. Didnt take long for the NP to stuff another great camp spot for the family.
Yeah , they do open it occasionally when weather conditions are good.
@@shaddonaghue yeah I am still waiting.

Thanks mate 😂😂. Yeah didn’t have my camera person for this trip 🫣😅
You need an battery angle grinder. For the gate
😂😂😂, im sure that would go down well 😂

Haha , you’ll never find a landcruiser at the right price 😂. Landcruiser Tax .
@@shaddonaghue true dat ! 🤣🤣
Great weekend away mate. So many more ruins on that historic tram rail track then I thought there would be.
We probably missed a few too
Great looking getaway, mate
Cheers mate 👍
Nice one mate. Cheers Steve
Cheers mate , thanks 🤠
Cheers for sharing mate looked like a nice little get away the troopy looks easy for them 1 nighters
Mate, so good for those 1 nighters hey 🤠👌👌
Great video Shad as always mate ! Looked a heap of fun even though the track was closed. As you said good excuse to go back 🤙🏻

@shaddonaghue It would be good to see it open. We were hoping to get to the top as well. It's a shame so many places are being locked up.
@@OnCountryWithMick yeah its a real shame mate.
Was that the gate on the track up from Old Col's place that was locked?
Yeah that’s the one , they lock it when they need to for various reasons
I always carry electric hacksaw now after nearly been trap in a bushfire with a lock gate national parks don’t realise how dangerous this is
Lucky we were on the good side of the gate .
Thanks for watching
What’s your thoughts on the Troopy so far?

hot water on the weetbix! what's the go there
Make them warm , its a winter thing. Trust me 👍

@@ianweal3081 yeah that’s how i grew up, but was to save on milk 😂😂. But know can’t really eat them any other way even in summer 👍
Awesome stuff! Been there a few times now, haven’t seen the mine or boiler yet. Are they just along the main track?
Yeah just further along , thanks for watching
Fantastic! Thanks so much!👍
