I think this will be used as the Presidential Salute for the rest of the PBBM Admimistration; it was played recently on the 87th Anniversary of the AFP last December 19. It was also played on Bonifacio Day on November 30, and during the National Heroes Day celebrations back in August.
Recently heard this during Rizal Day celebrations earlier this morning.
It does feel like it but I have a feeling it will be used interchangeably with the Aquino-Duterte Parangal sa Pangulo.
This one is more like "Hail to the chief" like. While the one by Lt. Col. Celestial would be more in line for ceremonial things of the president like an inauguration, to remind the one in office about their Presidential duty.
That and also this is definitely more triumphant than the other one which is more solemn and akin to a prayer of good governance. A good contrast in tunes and should be definitely used to its best advantage.
I think this march was also used during GMA administration. She even used this march during one of her SONAs as she enters Batasan's plenary hall.
It was used when President Bongbong Marcos had his Military honors at the Libingan Ng mga Bayani last Aug 29..
