You do not have to insert the key to use the push button. There would be no use of the push button that way. You can either start in manually, or put the key in your pocket, purse etc. and hit the button.
Good lord you need to do your homework....since 2011 the kessy system DOES NOT require the key to be in the slot...its is a dual system, the key can be anywhere in the car..push the button and hold the brake and it runs threw the starting procedure including glow plug time
I wasted nearly 50kGBP on an R line 262 (2015) model, steer clear. Car dangerously coasts when stoping, Sat-Nav requires a paid for SIM service @ 20GBP/month, gears change pedestrianly slow. Was also ripped off by the VW Dealer with the service contract; bought a 4 year plan, was given a 2 year plan by VW and then they refused to acknowledge their mistake.
Could be because the VW is a very competent platform with a transverse engine. It's a real suv that can tow and go off road, unlike the front drive based ford.
+Camerons Car Reviews Insert the keyfob into the slot, put or foot on the brake, and twist the keyfob to start. Or via Push Button Ignition: Put your foot on the brake and hit the button to start.
You cruised right by the safety features, for that price I want to see what it has that save my life. Why pay $60k for a car that doesn't have the latest safety features? Maybe, I need to look at the Audi Q5 TDI instead.
59k is absolutely ridiculous for ANY vehicle cost. From what i'm seeing in the review and what's featured on this SUV. This should be more around $40-45k MAX...!!! It's quite obvious your paying for the diesel and that's about it.
Something the germans will never be able to match on the american cars. You're selling a massive car with stylish buttons but the engine is sub-par. The germans refuse to give us a monstrous V8.
Im glad the Touareg isn't as common as most luxury SUVs.. it really stands out! Awesome driving machine!

diesel
👍 I LOVE VW
I like how no one bats an eye when Porsche bases their Cayenne off a VW but god forbid Lincoln bases their MKX off the Ford Edge.

That's why you buy certified used for half price as I did. Very nice car but not worth 60k.
The build quality you’re paying for. It’s built right next to the Porsche Cayenne
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
You think only a Jeep can beat it off-road!? Haven’t you heard of Land Rover? 😁
jeep grand Cherokee in the summit trim is better lets not talk about the srt8 Cherokee because that in a different class.

You lost me at 59K.
+Ivan Vojt lol
+ Hollows Ivan You have to consider what it compares to. It's pretty much on the level of X5, LR4, Merc etc
Same here. 😂
