A great list to start off with. I might have included a sheet of black velvet or portable magnifying glass (in addition to the loupe) in my recommendations, but that's just me.

This is a great start! Thank you! I'm in NC so there is an abundance of gemstones to hunt.
Question: How do you remove shist from garnets? I've been doing it by hand with jewelry tools, but my.hands are killing me! Thanks again!

Hiya guys, awesome video, I tell people this all the time.....get a jewelers loupe when your starting out to become a Rockhound, so you can identify your stones. Because you can see things that you can't see with the necked eye. That's the best advice I can give to anyone who wants to look at gemstones.

Hi I really like this content and I want to subscribe to this channel, but I'm finding the music to be very distracting in all of the videos.
It's not that the music is bad music, whoever is making it is a good musician, nice upbeat vibes. I like it, just not for these kinds of videos.
Removing the music would make this content more accessible to myself, neurodivergent, and otherwise more sensory sensitive people. Which tbh I think thats a lot of people who are into rocks and minerals.
    Thanks!
