he's a hand talker. Very emotive and expressive. He's alive.
And his fingers are so long! This is a crazy comparison, but his fingers remind me of Matt Bellamy's, and that makes me wonder what kind of guitar player Dev could be if he wanted.
Seeing an actor with so much potential finally get the role he deserves again is really magnificent.
Français
I have such a huge crush on him wow
alia al mutairi me too dude. Me too
Alia I feel you...the funny part is that I didnt have it back in his "slumdog" days....I loved his acting and all...but now its like OMG his hair OMG the accent...haha the struggle is real ;)
alia al mutairi so do I
ingles lol is that him? he was great in skins
I really understand you!
People will dismiss what Dev says here and just lump it in with the "actor's struggle" but he's talking about something specific to the actor of color's experience. Everything that you usually associate with being an actor plus being a brown, that no matter how good you are or attractive the kinds of roles for someone like you where you'll get this character that seems like a normal person and you get a chance to really act but also represent your community in a meaningful way... those are few and far between.
Tebigong101 well said
+Tebigong101 Is right. There's actually a great show that talks about that same struggle comedically called Master of None (amazing).
Manuel A Hurtado I've seen it, I really enjoyed it, and there needs to more shows that address similar unique experiences, not just because it's the right thing to do but it makes for equally interesting entertainment.
More conversations need to happen because it's a complicated topic like how colorism works, why whitewashing is so wrong, and to address issues for Asian, Latinx, and Black talent and communities specifically when it comes to representation. Also, how important solidarity is so communities of color don't fall into the trap blaming or demeaning each other when it's white Hollywood execs and casting directors making problematic diversity choices.
This.
He is so beyond his looks. His humanity is beautiful!
Wow! You know that what I saw as well! But not conscious of it. You said it perfectly 🥰
He looks so attractive...and speaks so well
He's gorgeous and grounded . Lion looks so good .
Dev's gotten hot. Hasn't he?! oh, Lord his closeups!
Fooh
He was born hot.
I've always known that since Slumdog
So damn hot!
I'm so in awe of his growth from when I first saw him in skins to lion is truly incredible.
Dev Patel's voice can end worlds
OMG DEV PATEL, ANDREW GARFIELD AND JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT IN ONE ROOM I NEED THE FULL EPISODE!!!!
heebs this same account has the full clip.
Can't stand Affleck. Also, Dev Patel is an absolute delight.
He is one fucking good actor, if you were referring to acting skills.
Same.
why tho???
Why are all these others giving such weird looks? Its a weird vibe as well...
@sivan ferna Mahershala Ali ?
😂😂😅 i am also feeling this
They clearly were tryin listen and understand a thing most of them dont completely. Which i honestly admire since a person could easily say "i know that already" and not listen to a thing they should listen to
i am so in love with him and his acting, the way he portrays the characters feels so genuine and real. i really, really hope that he gets more big roles, especially in dramas because he's just absolutely brilliant there. hollywood and the international film community better not sleep on him, it's such a waste of pure talent (and total eye candy)
JGL's smiling at dev while listening intently is so cute LOL
i love dev so much he's so pure but every single time the camera was on casey affleck i felt like destroying this video. why did they put such a disgusting man with the angel that is dev? he deserved better
what did casey do tho???
Dev's acting was absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous movie.
He has a vibe, Aura and personality of Keanu reeves
All the panelists were mesmerised by what he had to say. Expressive, articulate and man ....his diction is just mind blowing
replayed the first five seconds of this ten times before watching the interview.
Jeff Bridges and Casey Affleck look totally uninterested in that he's saying whereas I'm hanging off of every word lol!... I could be wrong but that's just what it looks like...
Casey’s trash so who cares about him
I like how these are disected to pick which actor you want to hear, because it saves time.
He has really been changed and grown up from the boy from Slumdog Millionaire. His performance in Lion was so magnificent. He's still got so much potential and even deserves more.
What a beautiful and talented human being
can we talk about how serverely Merhashala's eyes and melanin pops
I genuinely love Dev Patel, Josh Gordon lewitt and Andrew Garfield ❤ three of them are really grounded and talented..!! I feel like they have proved themselves as actors and yet they are somewhat underrated..!! They deserve all the praise and attention..💕💕
It's time for the British Asians to get out there!!! Dev is an inspiration
he’s so inspirational to me, as a british asian dude who wants to get in the film industry. i really want to meet him one day
The film that he did after Slumdog that wasn't well received was The Last Airbender. I didn't know the budget for that movie was so small.
He meant that Slumdog's budget was so small. Last Airbender had about a 155 million dollar budget which is just crazy...
EllisCarver
i swear hes the most beautiful man on earth
Grounded and articulate! He is definitely going to make it huge! The first five seconds though!! 😍
Crazy how far he's come since Skins.
the first five seconds and the last five seconds and every other second in between... ugh.... such brilliance, intelligence, genius and gorgeousness in one man.... perfection!
I was like 😍 the whole time. He's a patel, British, gorgeous, and NOT a doctor, sign this little Indian up!!!
Hahaha
Not a doctor?? What's that supposed to mean?
Lol they upload this right after I commented on the video with Casey Affleck talking about no clips of Dev and Marshala talking
You got played
- DJ Khaled
- Michael Scott
Dev is a gorgeous man
That's just the way he was born.
He’s so open honest and out there;that’s so attractive
I've been waiting for this!!!!!THANK YOU!!!
Talented, hard work, down to earth that all you need to win million of heart. God Bless you . We need more story like this 💖
He's such a good actor, and so articulate and smart here.
To begin with, I find the facial features of South-Asians really attractive, and then to top it off with an English accent… *ugh!* the torture! :D …I find Dev Patel to be a really good actor, and based from his interviews, he seems to be a very good person as well :)
More the looks..he has sense and substance and not just shallow, superficial and social media-crazed individual
2:59
Is he talking about The Lastairbender? 😂😂😂
There is no movie in ba sing se
Struggle is about living what we cannot possibly imagine is real. Being brave is walking that journey standing tall and Dev Patel did that in such a great sense of grace bringing a life force to the story
Puberty hits him hard
I love him in almost all of his film but my favourite is "The Road Within" He's so funny in that film.
Yeha Marin I agree.
i loved Dev in Hotel Mumbai, what a movie . Yet to see Skins tho
What a gorgeous voice he has❤️❤️
gosh I can listen to him talk forever and not get tired
Dev Patel an absolute star performer.... Slum Dog Millionaire... Infinity Brilliant... then this one LION absolutely 3 BRILLIANT movies...
He's so well spoken and a beautiful human being
His character on Newsroom, Neal, was one of my favorites on the show. I miss that show, and I miss Neal. There wasn't enough of him in the last season 😔
whens the full roundtable interview going to come out tho
When he's talking about refusing roles, he's talking about the Last Airbender right?
I love the look that Jeff Bridges gives Dev!
Dev you are absolutely brilliant! Can't wait to see your growth. Stay humble.
damn you're a dedicated fan dude. I see you on each one of his videos whether new or old
Amazing man
He's talking about that avatar movies isn't he?
I love these clips and these actors but I just wish I could still hear these conversastions but make it feel more.. natural
Could we have the full 1 hour version please. Like what you have done with the Directors Roundtable
i love him! great actor
Avatar the Last Air Bender was what he was talking about when he was 18.
OH MY GOD. Can anyone send me a gif of when he did a thumbs up and winked? OH MY GODDDD MY KNEES WENT SPAGHETTI
Love Dev as an actor and I bet he's a great person. Big up my guy!
Dev is such a nice soul
Dev has proven what a good actor he's become. I can't wait to see Hotel Mumbai with the equally talent Armie Hammer. Also love Jeff Bridges.
So well spoken and handsome
Brilliant talent!!!
He is an inspiration to every Indian👍
to every desi guy*
hes so charming wow
Will you post the full actors' conversation?
In January
Wow! Dev has really blossomed! He used to be such a little dork. hahaha
He became hot on April 23rd, 1990.
Get it Dev! Doing it right.
I love him since Slumdog and Skins! He's so adorable
Look at him now! He was crushing it then and now he's a triple threat! Writing, acting, and directing. Monkey Man is everything.
I love the movie Lion and I like that my city Kolkata played a little part in the filming of this movie ❤️
Anyone else looking to have Dev's children? WHY was he born in 1990. Why? How?
TheOriginalRevolt So that we can meet and marry, jk, but he's really handsom and talented and sweet.

He's pretty good ❤😬💯
I love him since skins ❤😍
This dude is a stud
Love the film . Love him more
♡♡♡ Dev ♡♡♡
I dont know what happened with the lighting but dev patel looks literally white
This is funny how other guys look him like he is a alien or something 😂😂
What movie is he referring to that he did after Slumdog that wasn't well received?
QueenLorde the last airbender
I love how honest Dev is. H'es a great guy. Even though he's very skinny, very very skinny, he manages to be very, very sexy, good man.
Eve Jepsen What is wrong with being skinny?I find skinny men to be very attractive.
mmg 123 Not much, hubby is just a tall, muscular guy, big, in a good way, so I tend to compare all sexy men to him. Psychology. :)
Dev is also tall 6'2 is pretty tall
man this dude is smart
