first off i enjoy your vids, i can see you grow as you play. Some other youtubers just dont and keep doing the same thing. If i may suggest after playing for a bit? its always better to go 2 forges and 2 barracks at the beginning and 3,3,4 for the workers respectively. Security is key since it protects not only your workers but also your core during the bug attacks. If you can get the construction that removes fog of war that is really good since you can search for the coal and be able to lose less time searching for it. Also get the machine gun tower the attacks have a wider range then the laser watch tower. And i mean the towers not the turrets. Any ways have a good day, good morning and good night
One thing I noticed at the start of you video, and I'm not sure if you've realised it yet, as I haven't got to the end of the video yet (so apologies if you mention it later), but it seems to me that there are 3 types of "basic" dirt, the light brown with few "lumps", the light grey with more lumps, and the dark grey which is mostly lumps. I've been playing this (Thanks to you Pin, like I haven't got enough games on my back log to get through! 😝) and it seems to me that the light brown takes less drilling, so the more effective routes through to resources in terms of drilling speed is via these. Obviously if there's 6x light brown and 1x dark grey to get through, going via the 1 is better, but if theres an equal number of blocks on a route, it works out.
Level 3 is pretty punishing. I have all the upgrades unlocked. here are some tips I found work well. - Men I use 4,1,2 and later 5,2,3 (if you can get the drone collector, that is a great help) - get the 5% periodically health upgrade. The other one only gives your team full health when the new day starts. the 5% one means while there is no trouble they will be healing. so usually when they face a bug they have full health anyway. if you use the other one and have multiple bugs you're more likely to lose a guy. - I found using one type of tower works best instead of a mix, so all grenade launchers, all poison towers, all lasers etc. But with 1 slowing tower at each level - 2 x repair stations is almost a must. There is no way you are making it through without taking some damage. - Use the drone that breaks the three blocks to kill off troublesome fire blocks. so don't waste it and have it on cooldown when you really need it. - clear all the blocks. Don't dig small long tunnels. it takes longer for your guys to get back going around everything. and also it's easier to deal with the egg spawning monsters, when they can't travel miles from their egg. Basically once I've finished a level there are just about only the unbreakable blocks left. - Drone launcher seems to be about the only night time ability worth having multiple of. (most times its the only ability I get) - There is a building that randomly breaks a block now and then. each building works separately. but it exposes the area around the block it breaks. - kill the sleeping bug things , they drop 2 x red gems. - fill all the tower slots before doing any upgrades. Which means no upgrades to towers until the last level. And when you do upgrade do1 (or two if you can afford it) upgrade level in each section. don't pile all the upgrades into the top section only. once you have all your towers upgraded to level 1, then do the same for level 2 upgrades, spread them out. - don't sleep on the slowing tower. it is OP. yes you lose a damage spot, but the slower they are to get down the more damage they take anyway. But only one in each tower section. last tip is watch out for the towers range. I once tried all shotguns, and even all grenade launchers, and there is a line in the middle where the towers don't reach. I managed to get through, but only because of having 4 x drone launchers. Good luck, and don't forget to fill in the survey :)
That's Interesting, I use 4,2,1 first then 5,3,2 later, usually ending up around 7,5,4 or 10,5,4 if I get all barracks upgrades. This many collectors even with drones is great because the sooner you get the ores the sooner you can upgrade and it snowballs from there! I also prefer the 5% healing upgrade path over the other one, also because I prefer vision to using less coal since i can use vision to get cowl anyways and the core repair might come in handy later but I haven't gotten past 250m yet because of silly sand-related accidents. I haven't used repair stations much, after I unlocked the railgun I basically stopped taking damage since they're so cheap and powerful, and if the bigger enemies survive those, I've still got the starter guns to evaporate them. I usually don't get the mining drone because I always forget my daytime abilities but I found you can also use the worker boost to vaporize the problematic lava spewers with good timing (when their weak spot is against the wall) I haven't used the slow tower yet but I can't wait to see how well it complements the railgun! Thanks for sharing!
i recommend the recover to full heath upgrade paired with 1/2 more guards, if ur careful with sand and lava none of your guys will die and you can sell the training station for more furnace, plus it helps with the red bugs. and i really don't like the lowing down turret, if you have 5 booster tower you really notice the difference. The main strategy is to get to 10 workers, health + speed + damage + sell the barracks once your confident they wont die. if you have a strong iron production you can sell and re buy stuff in the lower level for better prices and late game switch most of your furnaces for stuff to help you get the good stuff. I love finding the best and most enjoying strategy's, Keep them coming!!
@Darksoull Thanks for the tips mate tower range is what I look at first lol, Already filled in the survey. Thought you would be on star citizen with the new update? Not tried it yet myself
@@Pin-77 I played a little bit of 3.23 patch. But whisper is there will be another money wipe for 3.23.2. so I stopped. plus what I really want to see is the personal hangars and physical cargo loading / unloading. which is due to come in 3.23.2 after the free fly and Invictus event are finished. ATM i'm madly trying to find a house to move into, so pretty busy with that
Thanks - this game is driving me mad! I just finished 2nd successful Engineer run. I never ever see the swarmlite (?) generator. I will try some of your strategies. Do you find the turret boosters are worth the cost? (8 iron, 2 swarmlit)
the blocks which look like dragon scales boost the durability of adjacent blocks (marked with little shields). you should kill them before the blocks around them if possible. if you have the driller, use it for those. also, workers only cost 1 iron until you have 10 of them, so you might want to build 2 barracks.
I believe the Games intends, that you chose one type of Turret. Like Explosive, or Machine Gun. And build a building that enhances those type of turrets.
And build some ability buildings that fill in the gaps in your defense (DPS for explosive builds, Splash for guns and energy weapons also need splash if you don't have rail guns) Rail guns are op from what I've seen
Bro watching you is painfull, like you could just sell 2 of them iron forges, even ur labors to get extra money, like not even building the repair thingy at 5% hp like bro

The shield ray turret is pretty overpowered when placed at the very bottom since it blocks practically all enemy fire.
Thanks for the tip 👍

YASS! I really enjoy this series. I thought I would have to wait another week for this video
Glad you enjoy it. 👍

Just got home and the cold and the fog rolled in , it was like it knew I was going to watch Pin
Great series, really fun to watch, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
there is no floor level.
and you can have 5 of each buildings max. so 5 barraccs or iron factories or swarmlit factories
Yep no floor level can build them anywhere, but they cost more on each floor
@@Pin-77 That is why you max out your smelters ASAP.
just played a game that lasted till day 48 on core master if you want some quick tips let me know.
Congrats
I think I had 5,4,4 men which work really well but the higher levels might want more
Can you make longer video love the work❤
Some will be longer.
It was a good try , Learning what all the stuff does makes rng angry ;)
