Overcoming anxiety is a journey often hindered by misconceptions. I've battled debilitating health and general anxiety for five years, and I've realized that true recovery involves understanding how it looks and feels.
If you've experienced moments of relief, it's a sign of progress, not regression. The goal isn't to eliminate anxiety at first but to learn to accept and coexist with it. Embrace the fear without rushing to extinguish it through research, tests, or reassurance.
Recovery requires exposure to anxiety-inducing symptoms. When they arise, acknowledge the expected discomfort without succumbing to the urge to fight it. Feeling fine for a while doesn't mean complete desensitization; stress and habits persist. Positive activities can still trigger stress reactions.
Understanding recovery is crucial. Initially, applying anxiety management techniques may seem ineffective, but you're mentally preparing for the next steps. By accepting your diagnosis, avoiding reassurance, and breaking anxiety habits, you build mental strength.
The anxiety dilemma lies in craving control and certainty, which high stress levels falsely make you believe are lacking. Gradually replacing bad habits with good ones, while uncomfortable, builds bravery and strength. Exposing yourself to triggers, as originally intended, ensures progress.
On this journey, anxiety-free days may be followed by anxious times. Expect and handle them with newfound mental strength. As you continue, anxiety-free periods lengthen, confidence grows, and symptoms lose their grip. Eventually, you become stronger than the thoughts anxiety brings, leading to lasting recovery.
I no longer fear the symptoms, and slowly but surely it's fading, though I still get hand shakes and body shakes that cahse those intrusive thoughts that I have MS or Parkinson's, but I'm able to remove myself and become an observer of the thoughts instead of getting scared by them. Also still have brief moments where I think I must manually breath because I lost the ability to automatically breath, yet I noticed if I just divert my attention into doing something else, suddenly i can automatically breath again. It's all so stupid.
Thanks for sharing and happy to hear that you are doing better and are slowly learning how to take a step back and let anxiety run its course
I can say your videos are a massive reason for how I got to where I am, without which I wouldn't be nearly as far along.
This was a good read
This message is so important to me
@@leandraalexander7771 I'm glad my testimony was valuable, remember, all you have to do is just not be scared of the symptoms.
The only thing that’s impossible to deal with is the exhaustion that comes from bouts of insomnia. I can bust through anxiety but when it’s paired with exhaustion, it’s impossoblen
Nah, I can't even hold my phone or hold a position for long without trembling. It's unnerving. Is my body failing me
Guys do u have kids and how do u go about school pick ups? I look around me and everyone looks normal my Psychologist said u look normal too u don’t know how those people feel inside.
I would 100% give your psychologist right :) I
Anxiety can feel like skydiving but not being able to find the parachute chord. The workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels was helpful.
Thanks for sharing
@@loremipsumdolores Totally agree...the phrase "and this too shall pass" is a great meditation
Sir i am watching your videos for long. Can give me the link of SVGs you used in whiteboard animation because i want to start fashion channel. And need it. From where you download it or if you have drive link of SVGs i will very thanks full to you. God bless you❤.
“Any body feeling aches/dizziness/numbness in ____?”
STOP. REASSURANCE. SEEKING.
Those who comment these out of compulsion are not helping themselves build tolerance towards uncertainties, they make their disorder worse by feeding it. Please understand this if you truly want to get better and you came here to seek reassurance.
Feel it to heal it.
it is correct that at some point we will have to learn and accept that anxiety can cause pretty much every symptom and we need to live with this uncertainty to move forward from this

Hey folks, so I wanted to at least get this off my mind, recently I've been through the ringer with going around countries and dealing with airports (especially being by myself lol) and having a lot of pent up stress that I was going through (car accident and quitting a difficult job) so yes I was practically a ticking time bomb and then a week later after finally went home a bushfire happened and I came with my friend to have a closer look, and then after visiting his folks home, a trigger was activated and I couldn't put it down but good thing my friend caught on and helped me at least calm it down, and now a a week later im currently typing on my bed feeling actually way better than the last time but of course I'm still have a lot of pent up stress but I'm slowly taking my life back and I couldn't be more thankful
Happy to hear that you are slowly digging yourself out

Thank you for these videos, not only have I improved in general but I feel I am not alone and this is not uncommon since the comments are filled with others not unlike myself.

i dont know how to lose this symptom and headache is like some one squeezing one side of head how do i lose this symptom and then i have constant fear of high bp im 24 year old can you please anwser my question
Have you been to the Doctor yet? You should go just to eliminate one thing on your anxiety symptom list. I have been to the Dr multiple times and I'm surely healthy. I get a skipped or stop and then start up beating periodically. If you just started experiencing this, you will not Believe in anything anyone will tell you. You will become less fearful of it as you gradually realize it's just anxiety. I used to feel it alot but only feel it once in a while now. You will be ok. Just continue to work on yourself and keep watching these videos.
@@johnmolininijr3191 yes five times and did multiple test everything was fine.

Guys do you have mood swings, for me i feel calm and good and then suddenly everything upsets me and i feel sad even though consciously i have goals and etc
Again my man! Thank you. I literally have gone through what you went through over the last 4 months. I wake up in the middle of the night and feel like I am having an heart attack or can’t breath and get dizzy or unstable. Watching your videos have brought me comfort beyond anything that I could have imagined. I have checked everything about my heart, my chest, CTs, X-rays and a complete blood work up showed nothing. These videos I have viewed today have given me the assurance of what my PCP and cardiologist have told me, I have health anxiety and need to tackle it. Thank you a million!! I am going to start my journey to get rid of anxiety. I can’t say thank you enough!!
Thank you for this and letting me know man! Let this be your first step towards recovery!
How did you overcome air hunger that’s what kept me in the loop I need help
thanks for all this. I would like to ask you: could it be that my extrasystoles during digestion are caused by anxiety? My doubt remains whether the stomach or anxiety is the cause. Thanks for ❤
I cant diagnose as I am not a medical professional but can only say that anxiety can causd the craziest symptoms that one would never believe possible
Anyone else dealing with swallowing problems? Especially with dry food. Sometimes food gets stuck in the neck and I get so scared. It feels like I need to control the swallow reflex and be super cautious. What can I do about it?
Omg yeah, i almost choked once 1 year ago and ever since then most foods i have to think about and try to control the swallowing...its hell
@@Twinfalcon31 im really sorry that you are going through this as well.. are things better now?
@OnlyforyourGlory thank you my friend, I get good days and bad days ...today is bad lol, thats how I ended up on this post. 🙏🏻
Following what he teaches in the video, then: Let it be. Yes you might choke, that is always a possibility. Accept that your body alerts you, and then go on with your eating.
The body is really good at making sure you don't. And it is a good idea to chew your food well and to have a glass of water by your plate. But these advice won't really help your anxiety. What will really help is to be ok with whatever is happening in your body.
And I KNOW that it is difficult. I have struggled a lot with hyperawareness of my heartbeat. I only first improved when I became ok with that my heart does whatever it does.
@@SIC647 Yes it is very hard.. the fast heart rate is also a problem.. but I will try
My biggest fear now after years of crippling anxiety is the feeling that im loosing my mind...especially when i wake up at 3am. Is this normal cause im scared.
You wont believe how many people I have spoken to that are dealing with this...
@@ImprovementPath wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy...
We all deal with this one.
@sinistercinemareviews5420 its a slight relief to know you're not alone but im sorry you go through this my friend.
I did and do every time@@sinistercinemareviews5420
First
I’ve watched a few of your videos and its honestly like I’ve just had someone read word for word how
My anxiety happens, for me the “symptom” that’s always triggered my anxiety was nausea, it gave me phobias of going for meals and eating in stressful situations, im in that period where I’m in fight or flight all the time. I know it will go I have to be patient, but do you have any tips on how to speed up the healing?
I would recommend checking out the recoervy playlist here on the channel first :)
Speed up u know how go wherever u want to I know it scares u and symptoms get strong but remember it’s just fear it’s not going to kill us
Hi guys , I am suffering from this from past 5 months and the
Symptoms are
Heart beat will fast and loud you you do a little movements like if you stand and if i climb the stairs the heart beats will starts hearing in my head
And also at night i can't able to sleep i feel my own heart beats in my head and chest
Food struck in esophagus and pain while eating indigestion,
Insomnia, sometimes difficult to breathe properly, chest pain, back pain ..these are the symptoms I'm suffering right now can anyone have the same symptoms...
Same here
Same... Everything's fine if you have checked it out by your doctor... All this things will not harm you
I also had same symptoms, but these are fading away with my recovery journey.
I've had all these symptoms man. Seriously. Plus another like 60 symptoms physically
All of them. And it is all anxiety. Can you choose one of them an work on being ok with that it is just what your body does? Thank your body for being vigilant in wanting to take care of you, and then continue living your life. Or see a symptom as a natural occurence, notice it, and then let it be.
Once you manage this with one symptom, then continue with the next.
It has worked for me with several symptoms, and I am now down to only a few that I am still working on full acceptance of.
@improvementpath you are great man! Thanks for all that you do.
did u have tension on your middle of back and that leads to ibs stomach issues? sometimes i have anxiety about going to the bathroom for fear i dont want another loose or diareah lol taking my mind from doing other things like having fun as i did before. =/
Did you feel bounding pulse in back of the head
I used to get this pulse like sensation at the base of my skull right where it connects to my spine. It could get quite intense sometimes and I would jump right into panic
The best way to explain this is that adrenaline cannot be negotiated with anymore than hormones that illicit hunger, sex or other body states.
I would argue that adrenaline is the most "powerful" and non negotiable hormone that we have and with that said leaning into the symptoms with acceptance and practicing non-reaction is the best course. Claire Weekes used to say something like "don't be so impressed with the symptoms".
Thank you so very much for this video.
you are more than welcome - thanks for taking the time to comment :)
Thanks for the advice
Pleasure :)
Thank you for all that you do! 🙏
