Farm visit: North Italian farmer keeps finisher pigs on straw

Dropping a couple of cylinder -shaped straw bales of 300 kg into the pig house and the finisher pigs make their own bed. The Bassino family in Northern Italy know how work smart.
The family just started with their finisher pigs and operate within the Fumagalli concept, producing high welfare heavy pigs for both the Italian and European markets, including those in the UK.
