@Einhander49 That's the great thing about brushless motors. Unlike before where I'd be turning the comm on my lathe and swapping brushes out throughout a race night, swapping out multiple motors, dynoing motors, etc, I put the motor in and work on driving and setup. It's sooooo nice.
@ratliffracin99 While electric vehicles don't have brake discs or rotors they use the motors themselves to provide a braking action. Where you have forward and reverse in your ESC when racing A) reverse is not permitted and B) "race-orientated" ESC's have reverse locked out and only provide braking.
More kick yields more rear grip, absorbs sharp edge bumps more readily, but will transfer weight more aggressively if forces are available to compress the front suspension. Less kick transfers weight at a slower rate, sacrifices in the choppy bumps, but drives flatter around the track.
@TheZoidberg1119 If you're looking to get into 2WD buggy racing and you have some previous experience I'd say give it a shot. The build takes about 4-5 hours but it builds up really nicely.
Just got mine yesterday and I'm still on the final stages of wiring the electronics. It's a slow process for me, because I don't have a garage to work in (soldering makes a bad smell). However, this buggy looks stronger than the slash I owned, The slash had some sturdy plastic, but this thing feels really solid and has 0 slop in the parts. Everything fits perfectly in place. All that's left to do now is to paint the thing so I'm not driving with a clear body like everyone else at my track lol.
@puffmonster689 There's 2 versions of the 22 now, where there was only one when I did this preview. The TLR version is a kit where the Losi version is the RTR.
Looks ace, can't wait to get one ordered... Not sure how the MMP speedo will fit in though! It looks a bit of an afterthought stuck on the front of the rear bulkhead. Will still get one though!
@nickbloy No offense but I can't help but disagree on a number of points. The plastics have been strengthened by 15% by adding material in key stress areas. I can't think of another 1/10-scale buggy that has shocks of this size, bore or diameter. The transmission should have no more drag than the current crop of 2WD transmissions when used rear motor and mid-motor will have a negligible difference by the counter gear.
@lacrosseftw100 Team Losi Racing has always included some basic tools and allen wrenches with their kits and I would assume the same will be true here. However investing in a good set of wrenches will serve you well for years and years.
@Skydive4ever I used the same settings I always do, should be the same. Now studio videos will look better than the live New & Hot videos since those first get processed through UStream from the live feed we do.
@MannyFresh1x I have yet to break a part on the 22 as of yet myself. And for is it fast Dustin Evans has won the Spektrum Race, Reedy Race, ROAR Championships and more with it since it debuted last December. Yes, it's fast :)
what i realy want to see is a losi jrx2 vs 22tlr on the same motor esc battery and radio to see how far the new losi performance is sence the first losi came out
Holy crap. I can't believe how much r/c cars have changed in the past 13 years. I've been out of the loop for over 10 years and still have my GTX, lol. Are these motors brush-less, and exactly how much maintenance do they require during race day?
Check out the following video on our channel, it will help explain a lot. It's called: Understanding Roll Center Adjustments on the TLR 22 Buggy and TLR22T Truck

@T4nm4y This is a kit but Losi does have an RTR version (LOSB0122). The RtR is $429 while the kit is $289.
It has body mounts although you can use hook and loop if you'd like.

@Acksaw It comes with 2 sets of front and 2 sets of rear wheels only, tires are left up to you.

There's not a "Mid-Motor Conversion Kit" if that's what you're looking for, sorry.
It's nuts how different and similar today's (2017) buggies are. Even just looking at the 22 3.0 versus this 1.0 is wild.
@PMint8 It has to do with weight placement and how the chassis loads and unloads as you get off the power
Either a shorty or a saddle pack mounted side-by-side.
@facs96 As a kit it comes with the car itself and that's it. The choice of Electronics is left up to the end user.

You would have to contact the painters themselves and as to have a replica made. It is not something we offer.
@rc4life44 The wheels are included with the kit but the tires are sold separately.

On the 22T I am 99% sure you'd still need a shorty or saddle pack.
WOW we've been blogging about this. Finally! I might be picking one of these up when it's out! What a beauty.

@xxgg Last video was uploaded about 10-days ago and there were a number of videos uploaded around that same time.
Kick Shims:
20 & 25-degree
Caster Block:
0, 3, 5, 10-degree

LOSB0122 is the P/N and it is currently $399.99.

Great job on the video Gary, i tried watching the RCcar action one and got bored.
You provided great info, the quality of the video is top notch!
@bigrhetty It's going to be a bit before I get one of these I can run. Probably January-February at-least.
@MannyFresh1x I have yet to break a part on the 22 as of yet myself. And for is it fast Dustin Evans has won the Spektrum Race, Reedy Race, ROAR Championships and more with it since it debuted last December. Yes, it's fast :)
@airsoftguys All the running gear is sold separately.
No, the offset and hexes are different.
Check out the Spektrum DX3C. Very good radio for the money, SPM3300
what i realy want to see is a losi jrx2 vs 22tlr on the same motor esc battery and radio to see how far the new losi performance is sence the first losi came out
And they made it a kit and not a roller racer....i love you Losi.
:)
Looks like a great car! Nice job Losi.
Wow, is it just me or is the video quality much better :-O Keep up the great work guys :-)
Wow!! C'mon Associated get your act together. I've raced the B4, B44 and SC10, this 2wd looks darn impressive!
hi, i was wondering how or where i could get a body like the ones on those cars. I LOVE the TLR schemes used for drivers like Drake. Any suggestions?
Yes it does!
this might be the best rc car from losi ever.
Holy crap. I can't believe how much r/c cars have changed in the past 13 years. I've been out of the loop for over 10 years and still have my GTX, lol. Are these motors brush-less, and exactly how much maintenance do they require during race day?
That might be the FIRST Losi car I will ever buy.
is it dustin evans shell in he vid? it looks so good!
Whats the difference for the different angles of the carrier, toe plate kick angle shim and caster block???
ya i have the same question as facs 96 do you need to but the electronics or do they come with the car and do you need to but new tires?
It is about time the imperial system is ditched for the metric. Kudos to Losi. What's taking you so long Associated?
Are the shocks like the 8ight 2.0 shocks? Do they use the foam inside of the bladder?
Does the mid motor need to use a shorty pack? it looks like the motor takes up some space on the chassis.
thanks, will my junky traxxas one work untill i have enough money to get a new one?
@BATaCTiCz This is a Kit-Only
i might be buying this car used and wanted to know if i could buy a set of parts that make the car mid motor without having to buy them all seperatly?
How about toe plates, carried and caster block???
What is anti squat???
hey iam thinking about getting this and tossing up to get the kit or the RTR.
does the RTR still have the extra parts for mid motor plz reply thanks.
What is a good receiver and transmitter for around 150 bucks? all i have now is the traxxas one that comes with the rustler
Do you need to buy metric tools to build it or like AE does it come with some tools
okay I remember reading that in my esc guide thanks
When it says 2 sets of wheels is that 4 fronts and 4 rears meaning 2 complete sets of tyres?
@TEAMBLACKCOUNTRY Where we going :)
This looks like a good car. I am test driving my friends today so we will see
Det ser redigt go ut.. Får se om det blir en sån..
Does every thing come in the box or do i need to buy a radio, esc, serveros, etc...?
all ive used in the past is rtr would this make a good first kit purchase?
when can we see it in action??? :)
@PWB87 Correct
should i get this or a ftx vantage brushless
that was very intresting! thank you!
wow, seems to be looong time since new video was uploaded.

The Spektrum S6040

How will that affect the car???
@marioman5132 It will be, yes.

Can u put the rears on the front
Also is it better than the rc10b4.1
@Cptv90 First quarter of this year
So, the kit comes with no tires?
can some one please answer this question is it durable and is it fast
Superb. As soon as my wallet recharges I'm procuring one.
Metric, finally! Welcome to the 21st century, it took long enough.
On losi.com it said that this was ready to run. Is that true or does the building part apy to oredering it from horizon hobbies. Answer.
would a traxxas velenion 3500 work well?
itsnt all standard hardware not metric?
im looking for a good drift rc car any ideas?
@grasspubes32 I still want to build my car, but you have to think about the people that are not technically inclined.
How much does the rtr cost
Nothing, they just give you a 2nd set is all.
Check out the following video on our channel, it will help explain a lot. It's called:
Understanding Roll Center Adjustments on the TLR 22 Buggy and TLR22T Truck
Its not RTR right? I WANT AN RC SOOO BADLY! MY DAD ONT BUY ME ONE! How much is this?
It is a replica of his body
