    This is probably the best tutorial I’ve watched on building a template. Nathan thank you hope you do more tutorials on loopy pro. You’ve given me some great Ideas.
    I’ve been using switch button to go from bass to guitar on the same channel it’s the circle with a point button on the far right. It can be set up for multiple guitar tones.
    Switching to bass and having it record ready is super cool and I can’t wait to try it.
    The thing I really want to figure out is how to set loopy pro up for different sections of a song. Maybe use the same basic drum beat continuously but switch to a second set of loops for a different riff!
    Anyway Nathan you’re a really good teacher and look forward to more of videos!

    Great clip. This is a great lesson for a tool like loopy. It's not easy to stick to the fundamentals when everything is possible.
    You can also add 1 looper that will catch everything currently playing in addition to clear all. Then you can easily stack more live playing on top of the live playing 😅 But loopy is capable of anything. Good stuff

    Hi Nathan … thanks very much for this very helpful video and also for posting your template. I am going to give it a try. I debated on if I should mention this because it is such a small thing but I thought you might want to know. When you are dealing with midi the “value” that you set is really velocity. That term comes from the midi messages that are sent from a midi keyboard. The velocity is a measure of how hard you press the keys. In the long run it usually works out to the same as volume in most applications.

    Brilliant! At last, someone who clearly explains it spot on. I was just about to give up because the tutorials were going too fast, could not see the cursor, the accent was not very clear etc.
    Nathan, thank you! Now, can you recommend the Soft Step 3 as available alternative to AirTurn or is it worth it? I think you and Markus should do a video together. That, would be "Rock Star" status!!
    I would PAY for that show...

      @@nathanjroberts1 Hey, thanks for responding, most do not. So, I have the AirTurn BT500S-4 You said to set it at 7. Is it the same for the 4-button pedal? It also seems that the actions on your screen and mine are different. In your previous tutorial, as you said, when I tap on the input channel mic, I don't have channel select. Also, when I set it like yours, I get a very high pitched feedback somehow. Most tutorials go too fast or cannot see the cursor. Everyone seems to be highly advanced in computers or have been doing it forever and it hard to catch up. I agree, a "LP Dummies" would be worth the price of pain...

    • @nathanjroberts1
      @nathanjroberts1  7 місяців тому

    • @Cholla51
      @Cholla51 7 місяців тому

      Maybe. Could be my mic is too close? Also, some screen shots are not like yours. Same on other tutorials making it extremely difficult to follow. Now, I'm getting very little sound out of two KRK speakers running out of a Focusrite 4i4 4th Gen. interface, connected via lightning into an iPad 17.3.1. Guitar in input one, mic in input two.
      Finally, thank YOU very much, I can now get the AirTurn BT500S-4 working but there seems to be a timing glitch unlike yours. Could you maybe add timing, beats to the next tutorials? Thank you kind Sir!@@nathanjroberts1

    Thank you for this tutorial from a working musician that makes a concise and understandable working model and video.
    I just got Loopy Pro a few days ago along with my first Apple product, an iPad.
    A little background:
    Years ago when I played out in a two man band, we had bought one MIDI capable keyboard and Korg’s very first sequencer, the SQ1. Afterwords, we collected tons of midi equipment, so I bought and hardwired another SQ1’s clock to the first one and created a 32 channel system. That system lasted for years (and bars).
    So here’s my question: since you can stop and start immediately - at will, do any of your midi notes get stuck on?
    Does the built in procedure have a midi kill function or a midi kill command? Has stuck on notes ever happened from doing that?
    Thanks again!

    • @nathanjroberts1
      @nathanjroberts1  8 місяців тому +1

      I’ve used the SQ1, I also had an SQ-80. I still have my Korg Triton Pro. I know about stuck notes. I can say that after about 3 months of going totally Loopy Pro that I haven’t had a stuck note yet. It could happen tomorrow but it hasn’t happened yet. I do believe that if it did that the ‘All Stop’ could possibly stop it.
