Power probe is a great diagnostic tool. To save money I ordered a Power Source ps100 ($89) for similar options. Hopefully it will be just as handy for troubleshooting electrical problems.
I've never had an RV with a slide out. But I have worked on a few and the all had a manual crank. Is a manual crank not on all slide-outs? Id think that should be mandatory. IMO
I have a 500/1 motor. I do not have a Schwentek slide any more though. To make your life simpler, the N3R time you have to replace a Schwentek cable, cut the end off, and use that to power the motor you are testing. Leave some lead wire on it for battery connection.
I still like the hydraulic slides seems they don't give a lot of problems. I thinking if you over weight the slide this could cause problems but I'm not a RV tech. I will let you comment on this question . I figure it was a lot cheaper for them to use these electric motors over a hydraulic system . Please let me know if I'm stupid or what lol .
Is tere different motors for the slide? Do you need the motor number and number of revolutions it turns? Wiring harness and motor is available on Amazon, some after market ones too. I use a dry lube on my track and rollers. Must keep track clean of outside dirt and dust or binding may happen.
Kenny get a power probe makes life so much easier

Great solution for accessing the screw holding the motor in place when the slide is closed. Going to add that to my list of tricks and tips
Appreciate another good one 👍👍🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦👍🔧🔧
You’d think the RV designers would make an access point for those motors. It’s obvious they’ve never had to fix one!
They dont care once its out of the factory.
What a cluster. Thanks Don
Little fella must be the last guy who worked on it.
Very helpful. I've watched vids about these before but a refresher is welcome.
Thanks Kenny!
Great video. Live talk was great as well.

Great video Kenny! You have a fantastic day!
Nice video. Those Schwintek slides don’t seem to have a very good reputation.

I think I replaced a cable a few years ago and didn't keep a few feet of the motor end. I ain't the sharpest pencil in the box.
@@hillbillyrv We all know different things. It’s just the subject matter that’s different. Besides, I saw that on a UA-cam video.
This one looks like a lot of fun (not) my patience level would not let me do this repair 😂😂😂
Awesome videos! you have any videos on Hot To Repair Sidewalls on small bunkhouse slideouts??

To solve blowing fuses order a resettable circuit breaker to replace it. One and done.
I should. I have them on the truck.

The difference is the gearbox attached to the motor. It will either be a 500 to 1 or 600 to 1
Did I see a gremlin in there?
One of the reasons I don’t want slides, and why I sold my Vegas so I wouldn’t have to deal with it later.
😫👍👍👍👍👍
