Hi @Joshua Mayo
first of all love the content. As a European viewer(Denmark), are you thinking about making content for us european viewers for example, focus on UCITS etfs as we cannot invest out pension funds in VTI, VOO etc. Best, Stefan :).
I choose ETfs because ETFs typically do not charge front-end or back-end load fees, making it cost-effective to start investing without hefty fees.
Correct! i use my ETFs to cover a wide range of asset classes, including stocks, bonds, commodities, real estate, and more. This allows me to build a diversified portfolio or target specific sectors or themes thereby bringing in over $7599 bi weekly
How did you go about it ? i can barely cover much on my portfolio
I work with an income-oriented investor 'Suzan Kay Mack" who choose from dividend-focused ETFs that provide regular income through dividend payments.
Thanks for your response, i see it will be difficult for me to remake this by myself, I looked up Suzan Kay Mack! Super impressive !!

ETFs offers exposure to a wide range of assets such as stocks, bonds and commodities, which can help reduce risk. ETFs, like broad market index, secror-specif and bond ETFs are favoured for long-term investment, because of their diversification, reducing risk while offering growth and income potential.
Many stocks across industries are worth tracking. While it is not necessary to act on every market prediction, enlisting the guidance of financial advisor is advisable. They can help you determine optimal entry and exit points for purchasing and selling of shares or ETFs, ensuring well-timed decisions aligned with your goals.
Financial Planners are very important for investment. They excel in both long and short strategies, managing risk for potential gains and protecting against downturns. Their access to exclusive insight and in-depth analysis makes exceeding expectations a regular outcome. I have netted over 1.4m in in less than 3years working with my advisor.

The best investment one can do right now is investing on real estate though stocks are good but ever since I swapped to real estate, I've seen so much difference.

I've just begun learning about value investing, and I've found that many good stocks are undervalued despite their intrinsic value. If you had $200,000 to create a strong investment portfolio, which stocks would you choose?
I think a good investment portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. With your budget, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary financial advisor for expert advice.
I agree with you. As an early investor in NVDA, AVGO, ANSS, and LRCX, my financial advisor's advice was incredibly helpful. Over the past 7 years, she has helped me find stocks that did 10x multiple times. With her help, I've grown my portfolio to over a million dollars.
I'm glad I found this conversation. I have cash to invest but am worried about picking the wrong stocks. Can you refer me to your financial advisor?
I'm cautious about giving specific recommendations since this is an online forum and everyone situation is unique, but I've worked with "Melissa Elise Robinson" for years and highly recommend her. Look her up to see if she meets your criteria.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.
Thank you. This all makes sense and thanks for sharing some ETF's that already meet your criteria of a good ETF.
Dollar cost averaging into ETFs or index funds is the way to go in my opinion! I personally invest in Fidelity's no fee index funds in my retirement accounts, but will likely start adding similar ETFs to you in my regular brokerage account. They definitely have their benefits and you highlighted them well here! Loved this video man.
Awesome! your potential seems limitless. I'm fascinated with investing but being a single mother and juggling all these things are quite difficult, How best can I start and what sector to engage in?

How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains with months, I'm really just confused at this point.
Yes, a good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge

Index funds come in two flavors… You can buy them as mutual funds or you can buy them as a Exchange traded funds. If we are talking about a vanguard S&P 500 index fund: The mutual fund is VFIAX and the exchange traded fund is VOO…

With inflation currently at about 10%, my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy asap.

If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. 11:00 I am so confused. Wouldn't it be better to have SCHD (or any dividend-paying ETF) in your Roth IRA, and the others in a regular brokerage account? The idea is that dividends accumulating in a Roth IRA are tax-exempt, correct? This contradicts what you stated at 11:00. Could you please correct me if I am wrong and explain why?
I currently holdschd and vti but I was looking at adding VT but it looks like VT overlaps VTI, so could you recommend a third ETF
Hey Joshua! I love your content and it really got me into being way more interested in personal finance and investing.
One thing I think would be worth mentioning in the context of taxable dividends is that a lot of those ETFs have accumulative version which removes the headache of thinking about the dividends being taxed. Would love to hear your thoughts on it the next time you talk about dividends might be a bad thing for long term growth because of taxation!
Keep it up 💪🏻

Great value you are sharing everytime. I know a lot more great ETFs from your channel and currently investing in VOO and VTI like you do.

Great video Joshua, do you have any ETF recommendations in consumer staple, healthcare and energy sector? Would highly appreciate it.
How do you spilt the VTI AND QQQM in m1 finance just downloaded the app and starting my Roth IRA account wondering what the pie breakdown for those two
Why hold SCHD in your taxable? Isn’t more beneficial to hold dividend paying funds inside a Roth?
Quick question. I’m new to investing but slowly learning. Josh is investing in VTI and QQQM. But don’t the two have a good amount of fund overlap and is that not something to avoid? Because I was thinking of doing something similar, picking 3 ETFs one focusing in S&P500, one in NASDAQ and one in an international market. Until I heard about fund overlap. So what’s the smart move?
Can I still get ETFs through E*Trade or will it cost me more if I go through them? I only ask because I already have an account with E*Trade.
Is $2000-$3000 a good start for VOO and then $100-$150 a month?

I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 85K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?
Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience. If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.
The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.
Great video. I’m also a huge fan of both indexes and ETFs, sometimes accumulating wealth really is quite simple than everyone makes it out to be, on the contrary everyone is busy trying to get rich by Tuesday with the next hot stock opportunity, yet many a times we can just jump right into double downs on broad market funds covering growth investments
I personally do stocks and etfs because i wanna have my diversity but i think a mostly etf approach is great for most folks
I think you made a mistake. 0.04% of 10.000 is actually 4 dollars, not 40. I think you made the same mistake with the 0.75% expense ratio, severly overestimating the costs over the years
The first example should also be 40 cents per year. Not $4...
I think your slightly confused on the difference between ETFs and Index funds
So would it be better to invest $100 a week in one single ETF or $20 between 5 different ETFs per week
20in 5 etf is better...
5 different if you're making sure not to overlap too much. Diversify 👍
Min 4.42 w math 0,04% of 1000 its 40 not 4
I use VTI/SCHD/SCHG
SCHG is very underrated.
