just my opinion: i've been following Starset for few years, idk but somehow i feel like each song they released signifies a step of realization. i feel like their songs represents stages of consciousness in mankind's journey, that we are climbing the ladder of our innerselves. Starset' songs really gave glimpses of soul. this band is truly great!
I hard second this opinion. I've actually told this to many fellow fans I've discussed them with. I describe their music as "all things human condition".
It's very welcoming to see a band invoke this kind of thought in people, like they have done to me. I dearly thank Starset for guiding me to this level of consciousness.
It's a sweet love song. Makes you think about what love can bring. Those that experience it relate to it and those that don't dream of it with this song.

Hands down the best song of the whole album! I interpret every lyric in this song about my love for every person involved in this band. Every time I listen to Dustin's voice I go to another world. The line from Otherworldly: "You always seemed to know me" The line from Unbecoming: "You always knew me" The thematic parallels within Starset songs are on another level. It's like Otherworldly is an early stage of humans existing within the BMI where they're elated, in love with their captor; while Unbecoming is the later stage where they start to realize that they're just prisoners. Both acknowledging that the BMI knows everything about them, but interpreting it in different ways. Of course Otherworldly works fine on its own as a love song (I personally like it better that way, it's just so magical), but I'm just trying to fit it into the lore. Unbecoming also has parallels with Icarus. I'm just really enjoying the narrative they're conjuring here.
A little late to the party, but Unbecoming also has some similarities with Perfect Machine. Take note of parts of the chorus' of both and you'll notice they share a bit of a similar sound at a certain point :)
“If you guide me into your space I’ll be there at the first light” This line hits hard when you allude it to Starset’s debut song on their debut album, “First Light,” “Transmissions”
So far, this album is kind of reminding me of Transmissions (my all time favorite album), something I've been wanting from the band since Divisions came out. VERY happy with all the tracks I've heard so far!
It literally sounds nothing like transmissions I don't know where you people get this from. It's divisions 2 electric Boogaloo, which isn't a good thing.
@@N82k Like I said in my original comment, I haven't heard THE WHOLE thing yet. But if the rest is Divisions 2.0, then I am definitely concerned. Ill be checking it out soon.
@@N82k Dustin apparently said at the release party that ‘Horizons’ is sort of a sister album to ‘Divisions.’ I love Starset like no other, but I do agree with some of the criticisms I’ve seen about using too similar of a formula across different songs/albums. I hope that doesn’t become more of an issue the more albums they release in the future. I really want to love everything they do. I’ve only given ‘Horizons’ one listen-through so far and will need to listen more for my full opinion of the album to form. The folks in Starset are some of the nicest people I’ve met though and they’ve had a significant positive impact on my life as a band and as individual people, so I will always love them and be grateful for that, even if I don’t adore every single thing they put out. It is possible to have a tried-and-true formula that works for you as a band and that fans love, but for any band, I appreciate when they can change up their sound and vibe without losing the core elements of what made me fall in love with them and their sound in the first place. It’s much easier said that done. Even saying it, it sounds like a difficult balance to strike. One band that’s been great at it imho is my other favorite band, Anberlin. They’ve evolved with each album, but without losing the Anberlin sound that grabbed me and never let go back in the summer of 2007.
Being in a completely different state from my fiance right now, this song means so much more to me than I could ever imagine... I knew it was a powerful song. But until I really sat down and just listened, all those emotions came up, and now whenever i hear this song, it hits me like a train. I cant explain this place you've taken me, but i feel alive when you're there with me. I hope we soar to new heights together, but let us beware of flying to close to the sun.
Dustin has the voice of a lost soul searching for the light. His voice hits like a tidal wave of raw emotion. To be musically talented is one thing but to achieve awareness of your self-consciousness is on a higher level of spirituality. Starset shows that we are much more than just a species in a world of pain, destruction and of materialism.

I absolutely love how the symbol both looks like the rings around a planet, and an eye. It's like he's describing the way the universe makes him feel, and the eye represents this clairvoyance it seems to have, knowing him without even hearing a word he says.
This song actually brought me to tears and continues to every time I listen to it. That feeling of being with the one you love, it really is otherworldly.

I want to thank Starset for pulling me thru with this song and helping me in one of toughest times of my life.
I don't know why but I am definitely interpreting this as a song about God. The words are so powerful. "Send the light then, I'll be waiting" as if to reference the "white light" one sees after death. And "when darkness starts to call, you'll find me after all". THIS is so powerful to me. Of course, not everyone might feel the same way. But as a Christian, I choose to believe that this song is about God's love.
@DancingPsycho Much appreciated, I'm glad you love the song as much as the rest of us. It's been a long time since any song has moved me in the way this one did.
This band has always been otherworldly to me. The way they create perfect metaphors of nearly every song, every line is just....wow. It gets me every time. This is definitely best on the album. It conveys thought, imagery, emotion in a way that almost every song in Vessels did for me many years ago. I am a huge stickler for words. Books, poems, music. It's indescribable when the way the words by themselves make you feel lines up PERFECTLY with the rise and fall of the way the music makes you feel.
The lyrics seem to describe gazing upon something or someone of unnatural, unexplainable, “Otherworldly” beauty The background during major instrumental parts has the same colors as an event horizon, a “New Horizon” The symbol for the song resembles looking at a black hole from different perspectives, each looking familiar to the last. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
This is officially the most beautiful love song I have EVER heard... And I've heard a lot of beautiful love songs. Well maybe I shouldn't talk so soon because I haven't listened to the whole album yet. But still, I can't put my emotions into words right now.
This is wonderful! Very dramatic and beautiful, they really made a deep and beautiful song!!! Its not always that you'll find a rock song this beautiful! Man goosebumps from begin till end
Just sit down, put on your headset, start the playlist and turn off your screen, close your eyes and just dive into the experience that starset can offer you. Just otherworldly... It's the only thing that let me forget everything after a harsh workday. Every evening I lose myself into their wonderful songs.
When I first listened to this song just walking down the street I wasn't thinking that much of it. Today I listened again fully aware and alone in my flat. And damn. Shivers down my spine and goosebumps everywhere. Really Really balanced, refreshing and beautiful song.
Definitely my favorite song on the album, but I just noticed that end bit that Starset likes to do plays into the next song: “And he told him, do not fly too close to the sun, the blaze will surely melt your wings, but alas, he fell, his cries swallowed by the sea” Next song on the album: Icarus Absolutely Brilliant.
"If you guide me into your space, I'll be there at the first light" First Light was the introductory song for Transmissions, which was STARSET's first album.
This song has become one of my all time favorites, part of it because it reminds me of how happy i felt being with her and i will appreciate those memories, even though she's no longer by my side.
Not going to lie, the outro that introduces the next song is kind of genius; because this song is extremely uplifting both musically and lyrically, basically giving you the feeling of flying up higher and higher- until the end when the outro begins, with the musical score a somber contrast to what you've listened to...You start plummeting downwards. But also taking it outside the context of the album, it brings this kind of tragic feeling? Like when the outro starts, you could imagine that time has passed and the wonderful emotions you once felt were ripped away, leaving you with regret. It's kind of why this track in particular takes a special place in my heart 😊
This song reminds me of someone I really love, she just make me feel like I'm in other world just like this song. Sadly she let me now she hates me so there's nothing I can do at this point, but all the starset songs always make me feel better

This song by starset it makes me feel like I'm not alone and find beauty that I see
The lyrics seem to describe gazing upon something or someone of unnatural, unexplainable, “Otherworldly” beauty
The background during major instrumental parts has the same colors as an event horizon, a “New Horizon”
The symbol for the song resembles looking at a black hole from different perspectives, each looking familiar to the last.
I very much agree. 🥰
yo can you link me some other love songs? i wanna binge em!

This song just screams to be dedicated to someone's soulmate. It makes my heart sing everytime I listen to it
Gives me chills...
It feels like with every album you guys just keeping getting better better holy shit.
This is wonderful! Very dramatic and beautiful, they really made a deep and beautiful song!!!
Its not always that you'll find a rock song this beautiful! Man goosebumps from begin till end
Let's be honest: Starset is a universe on its own
With this song being extremely powerful and beautiful as is, just imagine how much more powerful and beautiful an acoustic version would be.

Starset is not just a vibe, they are a realization.
Just sit down, put on your headset, start the playlist and turn off your screen, close your eyes and just dive into the experience that starset can offer you. Just otherworldly... It's the only thing that let me forget everything after a harsh workday. Every evening I lose myself into their wonderful songs.
What a magic song, guys. Hands down!
Strong 80s love song vibes.
When I first listened to this song just walking down the street I wasn't thinking that much of it. Today I listened again fully aware and alone in my flat. And damn. Shivers down my spine and goosebumps everywhere. Really Really balanced, refreshing and beautiful song.
My god, how long I have been waiting for this album! I want to cry.
Starset is on a whole other level.
🚀✨💫☄️🤩
Definitely my favorite song on the album, but I just noticed that end bit that Starset likes to do plays into the next song:
“And he told him, do not fly too close to the sun, the blaze will surely melt your wings, but alas, he fell, his cries swallowed by the sea”
Next song on the album: Icarus
Absolutely Brilliant.
Absolutely one of my favorite songs from this album. It is such an emotional song, always makes me have CHILLS
I would kill for starset to make a movie
Star se t will find a subject that would never end up in a conversation and then make it one of the best songs ever
"If you guide me into your space, I'll be there at the first light"
First Light was the introductory song for Transmissions, which was STARSET's first album.
“Stare like a spotlight” wow
Fancy way of saying: gaze that rips through my soul
This song has become one of my all time favorites, part of it because it reminds me of how happy i felt being with her and i will appreciate those memories, even though she's no longer by my side.
The most underrated song in the album IMO.
I cry to this song not because I relate to it but because its something I could never have with someone I crave to connect with.
This song is just
3:51 and that's where I start to cry
This song makes me cry
This song reminds me of someone I really love, she just make me feel like I'm in other world just like this song. Sadly she let me now she hates me so there's nothing I can do at this point, but all the starset songs always make me feel better

Queria poder dar mais de um like, starset é simplesmente incrível, a sensação que cada música causa, é como se a melodia conseguisse alcançar a alma, é de arrepiar... Simplesmente amo essa banda.. ❤️❤️
'Otherworldly' has stuck with my husband and I this past year. I've officially made a ringtone out of it for my other half. The concert is truly what did it for my husband to become a fan. Success!
Taking my husband to a concert tomorrow. Really hope that's what makes my husband a fan too.
Masterpiece. 😍
The Lyrics and the music...the actually sounds chosen to compliment the otherworldly feel of the song. Its amazing. Such a unique band. Music that stands out
there is pure crack in that "hide" at 3:43 I cannot stop listening to the bridge
This is the sweetest love song I’ve ever heard this band write 💙
