I remember these days like the back of my own hand. The Greek dam near shut down half of Philly. All the pretty ladies, all the fly cars, all the playas, hustlers, shakers and movers all showed up and showed out at the Greek. The 90s was the last of the real ones.
This is amazing watching these old clips. Differences of yesterday and today. 1. No one has a cell phone so people are actually talking to each other. 2. All the women look like women , no hard makeup and fly away lashes. 3. All natural bodies. 4. All men are dressed like regular men and we can’t see their whole shape. 5. The men look like men.

I went to the Greek Fest once in 2000... and heard the same thing I experienced. The daytime festivities were chill... some of what happened back at the dorms was wild (both bad AND good lmao)
I was there that day. We never knew the world change so drastically. Philly was so much fun being a young adult in the 90s was epic. I wouldn't trade that decade for any other to spend my first decade as an adult.

Women (and men) were in shape in the 90s. Most of the girls in this video probably had a few seasons of track under their belt. In those days, women were competitive with each other, and everyone wanted to know who was the fastest girl. In Philadelphia, Simon Gratz and William Penn had some of the best female track athletes.
You're right. Back in those days running track was a big deal. I ran track for my high school (not in college). That track star physique stayed with me well into my 20s and 30s.

Cahoots nightclub inside the Hilton on 9th and Packer on Fridays and a late night meal at Denny's on City Avenue(a bank is there now) afterwards. Damn! You never miss a good thing until it's gone.
