It takes immense character to go from being head coach of an UCL tier club to becoming assistant coach. His desire to learn and improve is something that will surely pass on to the players.
I read somewhere that Ruud actually didn’t want the managerial role at first at PSV. He felt like he wasn’t qualified enough.
The gig at United would give him some breathing room to further develop as a manager at his own pace.

Seriously guys look out for how much he will improve the end product of uniteds wingers because as a striker he had many many arguments with wingers about having to make 3 or 4 different runs before receiving the ball he knows the importance of a striker knowing his wingers will play the ball sharp and quick utilising the effectiveness of a strikers first run (which is normally the hardest to defend)
