    On the work I'm assembling 4th and 5th axis... So, it will be helpful with more detailed explanation...

      Yes, it is.
      I'd love to provide more details, but time is short.
      I would also like to create an online course with videos explaining how to use Linuxcnc.
      I don't know if I can do it.
      I am not familiar with it.

      I use linuxcnc.

    2 things that hold me back from building a 5 axis cnc:
    1: no 5 axis lookahead (movement will be choppy/slow)
    2: no 5 axis velocity limiting (meaning when the tool is far away from center of rotation and the rotary axis is moved at maximum velocity the tool (linear axes) can actually move way faster than defined in the INI and cause stepgen errors)
    at least thats what linuxcnc was lacking the last time i used it.

      It has been a while.
      So far, the same problem has not occurred.
      I used to have stepgen errors in the past.
      I don't remember if it was the same problem or not.

    Hello
    i have a 5 axis cnc head-head XYZAC (When C rotates i have offsets in X and Y)
    How can i utilize the TCP
    Where can i find more info?
    Regards

      Sorry for the late reply.
      For machines with 4 or more axes, when the rotary axis rotates, the origin needs to be changed. I have created a macro program to automatically change the work origin.
      To use TCP, I think you need to use a CAM that supports TCP.
      I am using FUSION360.

    What do you think about PocketNC 5 axis mini mill? Do you watch JohnnyQ90?

      @a-cnc-f  2 роки тому +1

      I decided to build a 5-axis CNC machine because I found Pocket NC.
      The reason why I did not buy a pocket NC is because I thought it was not strong enough structurally.
      I wanted to machine steel.

    Hello! I watched your course "How to set up Switchable TCP". Does it works on LinuxCNC 2.8.2 on RPI?

    • @a-cnc-f
      @a-cnc-f  2 роки тому +1

      In 2.8.2, it does not work.
      When you start Linuxcnc from the command line, it will start with 2.9.0.
