I probably should’ve done this a long time ago, but better late than never. It’s been a couple of years that this was posted since the writing of this comment and I would like to express some apologies for where I went wrong in this video (I’ll also post this in another of my videos where I committed the same sin). I will admit that I did go too far on my comments related to how Sony Pictures Animation should “shut down” along with the harsh portrayal of the people who worked on their older pictures. It was wrong and way too entitled of me to make these kinds of remarks as a response of them creating low-quality content. No, it is not because they now made Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse that it’s now bad to say that about Sony. It is wrong now and it was wrong then and I do not wish to influence that mentality onto my viewers. I guess the platform got into my head a little too much and the whole “hating on Sony Animation” schtick got to a point where I crossed the line with it. I realize now of where the line is from criticizing a movie to attacking the filmmakers just for doing their jobs when they ultimately didn’t do anything wrong morally. My opinions on some of their films like The Emoji Movie, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania did not change and I still think they’re poorly made and cheap looking bargain bin animated kids’ flicks that’s giving the medium a bad name. That’s fine because, at the end of the day, that’s just my opinion. However, I shouldn’t have gone as harsh as I did at Sony Animation and the people working/worked there and, again, I am sorry. Since then, I have retired the whole schtick and vowed to treat Sony Animation equally as the other major animation studios while just sticking to expressing about my honest opinions on their features. And no, there will never be another studio that will take Sony’s place for the “hating schtick”. I’ll leave that to some of the other cartoon reviewers doing that towards Nickelodeon. The only thing I ask is acknowledgement that I am working on humbling and improving myself on this matter.
It was kind of easy to hate Sony back then, but they proved recently that they have some good things to offer. 2017 still was not a good year for them. They provided a generic smurf-fest, wrestled with the Surf's Up franchise, sent us a bunch of emojis and ads in one text, gave both of their big name franchises bite-sized adventures (yeah, pretty clever pun for those ones, huh?) and almost gave Christ as much a bad name as Mel Gibson did. All in 2017. It's cool that you're gonna start judging Sony's movies as movies, but if there's one bit of constructive criticism Sony can take from 2017, it's that you should really take your time on projects. There are some ways that The Emoji Movie could have worked; if it were a commentary on how to properly communicate emotion, it could have been closer to the levels of Inside Out. I seriously implore you to see some reviews of The Emoji Movie, as they provide much better ideas than the writers were able to.
I'm just thankful that "My Little Pony" was given an honorable mention of being placed in the middle, rather then the obvious decision of putting it on the worst list. TAKE NOTE IGN!!!!
Seamus Tierney it made me cry . When we left the theater my hubby asked what happened I didn’t want to admit it so I just pretended that my eyes were just itchy and the reason they were red was because I was rubbing them .
Fun Fact: The guy who voiced child Tim in The Boss Baby is the grandson of the most inappropriate man of all time, Ralph Bakshi. Someone in my computer art class (I am a middle schooler) loves Boss Baby and I told her this. She actually looked up him, and man I shouldn't have told her.
- Am I the only one who thinks the boss baby was supposed to be a short, but then they changed it into a movie? - While watching the emoji movie, I did my homework and I had more fun doing my homework then watching that movie. No, I didn't saw it on the big screen, I wanna keep my money for something good. - I really need to see Coco.
Personally, I thought 2017 was a lousy year for animated films. We had far too many mediocre/servicable/bad films than good. The only ones I liked were Coco and Lego Batman. Everything else I felt was just "serviceable" at best ( DM 3, Lego Ninjago, Cars 3) and terrible at worse (Emoji Movie). This year gave us many terrific live action films (Logan, Get Out, Dunkirk, Baby Driver, Blade Runner 2049 and more), it's a shame animated films this year were really lacking.
yeah... in short the animated movies that came out this year were a mixed bag, but we made all the way to the end of 2017. but here is hoping the 2018 will be a bright and shiny new year for us!
Oakview Films one sad thing is that the transformers movies have slowly gone downhill with each entry in the franchise. What they need to do is not focus so much on the humans and explosions and focus on the transformers themselves and on good story and plot. What would be good is having the people who write the marvel movies, get them to write the plots for the movies and set it all on Cybertron with no humans as then we would do actually get a good transformers movie
I think your summery of the MLP movie was spot on. For fans like me, it was enjoyable, if flawed; not quite living up to the standards of the TV show. But for non-fans, I'd say it's pretty much just good as background noise. Play it to keep the little ones happy while you do something else. Oh well. For what it's worth, I'm happy with what we got, and I think we can all agree that it could have been FAR worse.
Coco definitely had to be the best animated movie of 2017. Great characters, great story and great concept as well, particularly about this boy who accidentally ends up meeting earlier dead relatives (in skeletal form) in an afterlife world after trying to take what he thought was his grandfather's guitar. Pretty creative concept (as you would most often expect from Pixar). Captain Underpants and The Lego Batman Movie were great too. In fact, in Australia, we even had Captain Underpants as an antidote to The Emoji Movie due to it being released in cinemas at the same time. Even though The Emoji Movie ended up making more money (dang), I was happy I didn't have to waist money on an advertisement-posing-as-movie.
Eri Pena You were way too harsh for it. We need to get you out of this mysterious trap that the Internet has set up to make TTG such a verbal punching bag and give it backlash. It deserves absolutely none of it. In fact, its hatred should turn into praise
Well I’m not into TTG either, but the hatebase is worse than the show itself, and honestly the only way they’d make the movie worse is if Tommy Wiseau was in it
Honestly TTG doesn’t bother me anymore. It’s alright to watch but not to rewatch the same episode. it’s not bothering anyone (Unless the episodes that are making fun of the FanBoys/Girls Which tbh they kinda deserved) and by giving them more attention (hate from said fanboys/Girls) that’s how they made more than enough to make a movie. If we didn’t bother to keep talking about them or gave them the attention they wanted then this show would’ve died down and been obscure like other cartoons, but nooo, y’all wanted youtubers to talk about how much it destroys your childhood, and how much death threats you’ve sent to Cartoon Network about it taking up majority of their schedule. Yes them showing TTG for the whole week on series finales and holiday weekends and their TTG specials was unnecessary, but we brought it upon ourselves; By giving them the hate and attention they wanted instead of moving on.This doesn’t stop at Animated Cartoons, it continues into games. Like how Bubsy was the most infamous mascot in the 90s, As soon as Sonic forces shows that, the fandom goes crazy by showing memes and UA-camrs speculating and guess what; Bubsy suddenly returns, don’t know why he returns exactly or when the production started, but it most likely had to do with the sudden attention that the silhouette in the teaser of Sonic Forces looked like Bubsy the Bobcat. I would like to add this is how The emoji movie made than captain underpants due to immediately hating it and having popular UA-camrs want to look into how bad it really is, making curious people want to spend money on tickets to go check it out. Like seriously, y’all could’ve bought different tickets to a better movie and snuck in. If you guys want to hate TTG, hate it in *Silence* . If you want it to be cancelled give it no thought, no attention, no matter what, the anger you have for the show is what caused it to grow.
So glad that 'My Little Pony: The Movie' didn't end up on the worst list...but speaking of the movie, love the usage of songs from the movie in the countdown!
To give The Star some credit, it's the first theatrical movie about Christianity (in quite a while) that isn't a hateful piece of shit that says that anyone who isn't Christian is a terrible person that has no morales and will burn in hell.
In my opinion, this year was a mixed bag for animated movies, but something tells me that next year will be an interesting one for animation. Also, I'm with Animat, Sony better not screw up that Spider-Man movie.
Extiction Animation just because the movies makes a lot of money doesn't mean the workers are getting it. There's a reason some people in the animation try to form unions against their companies for higher pay time and time again.
How would you react if cuphead and mugman made cameo appearances in Ralph breaks the Internet. I would also love to see hat kid, phoenix wright, maybe some lords from FE,bendy, ninten, ness, lucas,Mario, kirby, red, and even sora
I'm hoping to see, even as background cameos that you'd have to squint to see characters from -Pokemon -Gravity Falls -Star Wars -Cuphead -Undertale -Pixar movies like Coco -Mario (or some of the Mario-verse characters) -Zelda characters Possibilities are endless, really.
The villain song from the MLP movie was a lot of fun! And the movie introduced us to a lot of new, interesting characters. While I did enjoy most of the movie, I did find myself taking some issue with Twilight acting a bit out of character in this one particular scene. I don't really want to get into it too much here since it is a spoiler. I do wonder though if these new characters will make their way into the main series. I hope they do!
Oh Gee, I wonder what the #1 BEST and WORSE films would be. This year was awful in many ways but I never imagined this year would've lacked so much in GOOD animated films, yes I know we have Coco but for me it won't premiere till after New Year's because I live in Ecuador which is the Ass of the World. Also I disagree on Despicable Me 3, it was the most tedious and irritating piece of soulless garbage, and the fact that it made a billion dollars keeps convincing me that we have failed as a species.
TheSlayFer Ch. T. Finally someone who has the same thoughts as mine with DM3.To me illumination studios is just as bad if not worse than Sony pictures.I mean at least Sony did a film that i absolutely love (Surfs up).Illumination hasn't
If we all knew that the Emoji Movie was going to be awful, why the hell did you even pay money to go SEE IT? Because of that, the film's gross was 200 mil to 50 mil. I hope you're happy about that fact.
Luigi Marinus 3 No offense but, if you legitimately liked it, then I'm glad for you, but if you didn't see it and are just saying it as a joke, it's not funny. In fact, it wasn't very funny from the beginning.
MegaSoulHero Hey its me 445956. Where the Dead Go To Die, Foodfight, animated Titanic Movies, and every single animated mockbuster are NOT better than The Emoji Movie. I actually like it more than The Star.
Let's see: Best 5. Don't know 4. Don't know 3. Despicable Me 3 2. The Lego Batman Movie 1. Coco Worst 5. The Lego Ninjago Movie 4. Boss Baby 3. The Star 2. Nut Job 2 1. Emoji Movie Again, I'm just predicting this list, also I forgot what animated movies came out this year
Boss Baby with fidget spinners! Boss Baby meets Elsa and Spiderman! Boss Baby on Roblox! Seriously Boss Baby was about to rival Minions in advertising.
In my personal opinion of my best and worst animated films of 2017: Best Animated Films: 1. Coco 2. The Breadwinner 3. The Lego Batman Movie 4. My Little Pony the Movie 5. Cars 3 6. Captain Underpants 7. Despicable Me 3 Honorable Mentions:Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You! Ferdinand LeapYour Name The Lego Ninjago Movie Worst Animated Films: 1. The Emoji Movie 2. Boss Baby 3. The Nut Job 2 4. Spark A Space Tail 5. Rock Dog 6. The Star
Please do the rest of Animation Lookback: Cartoon Network at the beginning of 2018. BTW, this is 2013 all over again. The good news was that Coco was the number one movie of 2017. The bad news, however, was that The Emoji Movie is the worst animated film of 2017. Let's hope 2018 will be better.
Best: My Little Pony The Movie - Great The LEGO Ninjago Movie - Great Cars 3 - Fantastic Captain Underpants: the First Epic Movie - Fantastic The LEGO Batman Movie - A Masterpiece Honourable mentions: Sing (UK release) - Pretty good Despicable Me 3 - Great Ferdinand - Pretty good Worst: Boss Baby - Pretty good Ballerina - Okay... Smurfs: the Lost Village - Meh.. The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature - Bad... The Emoji Movie - Cancerous!
Imma guess the best is coco and the worst is the emoji movie EDIT: huh, I knew emoji movie was the worst but I weren't sure coco or batman was Finna be the best. Good guess then
Ok. I liked this until you said that Despicable Me 3 was better than Cars 3, with all due respect DM3 was Terrible! The only good part was Balthazar Bratt, so Cars 3 was totally better.
Billboardguy1 In which way? Cars had a plot, and took care of the annoying characters in the franchise, In exchange DM3 added new annoying characters, especially Dru, and other Freedonians who were part of the terrible sub-plots of the movie. Anyway, opinions are opinions.
I mean, come on! We all wanted to see McQueen learn new tricks and end up kicking Jackson's booty, but instead, McQueen becomes the new Doc! Think about all the kids watching it! This could send the message "If you can't beat them the first time, you're already the new version of your Grandpa!"
The Best and Worst animated films of the 2010s so far... Worst: 2010- Alpha and Omega 2011- Hoodwinked Too! Literally, when I heard that there was going to be an Emoji Movie, before I saw the trailer on TV I was just like, "What's it going to be, a ball with legs?" Welp I was right WHYYY DOO U DO THIS TO US, MOVIE PEOPLE!?
I personally found it to be mediocre. It could have been way better, with things like the Lego Movie setting precedents for cash-grabby ideas being able to fly like a majestic pegasus. However, they played it a little too safe, and the movie ultimately doesn't feel that much different than the already stellar two-parters in the show, aside from some fancier animation and an extended runtime.
My top: Worst: 5. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (6/10) 4. Ferdinand (5/10) 3. The Smurfs: The Lost Village (4/10) 2. The nut job 2 (4/10) 1. The Emoji Movie (4/10) Best: 5. The Boss Baby (7/10) 4. Cars 3 (7/10) 3. The Star (7/10) 2. Despicable Me 3 (9/10) 1. Coco (9/10) Honorable Mention: -Captain Underpants: The Lego Batman Movie(6/10)
I just realized that Dreamworks isn’t releasing anything next year. Crazy how they can be releasing 3 films some years and this year 2 and now they have canceled so much (at least Larrikins, Puss and Boots 2 and Madagascar 4 we’re going to be released 2018, not to even mention the films they cancelled that were meant for other years).
My Top 5 Best and Worst: BEST: #5: *TIE:* Cars 3 and Ferdinand - I really liked these two equally. They both stayed true to their predecessors in some way, and the jokes were at least passable to me. #4: Despicable Me 3 - Its story may not be nearly as good as the other two, but the charm is still there. #3: Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie - Never have I left a theater cracking up as much as I did with this movie. #2: The LEGO Batman Movie - As someone who is honestly a non-Batman fan, I will say I was very impressed and loved it. #1: Coco - One of Pixar's best in quite some time. Absolutely phenomenal. WORST: #5: Smurfs: The Lost Village - At least Sony picked it up a notch from the live action films. #4: The Boss Baby - Yep. DreamWorks needs a diaper change alright. #3: The Star - I had my hopes at first....but they died out very quickly. #2: The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature - Seriously, who asked for this? #1: *THIS IS NOT ONLY THE WORST ANIMATED MOVIE OF THE YEAR, BUT IT'S ALSO THE OVERALL WORST MOVIE OF 2017. I'M PRETTY CERTAIN YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS.* My Thoughts on 2018's Animated Movies: Early Man - Ah, good ol' Aardman does it again! Isle of Dogs - Oooooooohh..... Gnomeo and Juliet 2: Sherlock Gnomes - No no no... Duck Duck Goose - Hmmm......nah. Animal Crackers - This could be interesting. The Incredibles 2 - LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!!!! Hotel Transylvania 3 - I will be honest....the other two are guilty pleasures to me, so..... *walks off in shame* Teen Titans Go! To The Movies - Please tell me this is the show's sendoff. Smallfoot - I'm in. The Grinch - I trust you with this, Illumination. Just...please don't screw this one up like you did with The Lorax. Wreck-it-Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet - LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Spider-Man - SONY I SWEAR IF YOU SCREW THIS UP....
The SuperBlade Penguin I highly doubt it. Judging by the trailer, it might have a few decent jokes, but it will also have poor writing, cheap animation, and annoying characters.
Lightning McQueen Like Vailsvibum94 said, was he Animation does appear to be a step in the right direction, and besides, there's only so much you can do with the Cartoon's animation. The story seems original and engaging based on what I read, and the characters in the show don't bother me, and the trailer seems to be making them tolerable. It's got some people who worked on The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman movie, so it COULD be something.
My thoughts: The LEGO Batman Movie - That movie which was amazing #1 Boss Baby - Pretty Adorable Smurfs: The Lost Village - Aight Captain Underpants - Pretty Adorable as well Cars 3 - They got back on their feet Despicable Me 3 - Pretty Enjoyable The Emoji Movie - Clever (all you haters stop nitpicking) Nut Job 2 - Pretty Clever too except no one asked for this. Leap! - Okay The LEGO Ninjago Movie - That movie which was amazing #2 My Little Pony: The Movie - Adorable and FINALLY MORE 2D ANIMATED FILMS!!! The Star - I haven't seen it yet Coco - Haven"t seen that yet Ferdinand - Adorable 2018: Early Man - It could be enjoyable Isle of Dogs - Easliy the cutest thing because of Dogs Sherlock Gnomes - Could be Clever Duck, Duck, Goose - Okay Animal Crackers - Haven't heard much of that Incredibles 2 - Would be Enjoyable but THE CRITICS ARE GOING CRAZY!!! Hotel Transylvanina 3 -It will be aight Teen Titans Go! To The Movie - FINALLY A FILM BASED ON A SHOW THAT HASN'T HIT THE BIG SCREEN BEFORE YES! Smallfoot - Might be anticipating The Grinch - Could be better then live-action Wreck It-Ralph 2 - (Disney gives the middle finger to Sony) Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse - This must be an apologize letter for Emoji Movie haters right?
Boy, this was not a very good year for animated movies. In this case here are my best and worst animated movies of the year. I’m currently making my videos explaining why soon so stay tuned. BEST: #5: Cars 3 #4: Ferdinand #3: Captain Underpants #2: Lego Batman #1: Coco WORST: #5: The Boss Baby #4: Lego Ninjago #3: Nut Job 2 #2: Spark #1: The Emoji Movie
I know 2017 wasn't the best year. But I never noticed any of those bad events. except for the sexual harassment. But at least it was the best for Batman, SpongeBob, and other cartoons... Well almost... Sorry SU but you really have to do better then leaving us a year long hiatus for new episodes.
Emoji movie: uh let’s animate a farting elephant! :D *later* 🐘💨 Everyone watching the movie: uh funny? Ok babe let’s get out before the kids turn on us
Now, as utterly horrendous as the Emoji Movie is, I personally think Animat was a little unfair towards the animation. Sure, it's nowhere near Disney or Dreamworks, but I think it's still ok. It's colourful, bright and expressive. Animat acted like ti was Foodfight levels of bad which, to be honest, it really isnt.
At least you only had to give 4 animat seals of garbage. Remember in 2013 you had to give out Animat seal of garbage to all of the worst animated movies
I only came here for the 2018 movies. Here’s my personal rundown: Early Man: Premise looks generic, but it’s Aardman, so PARTY! Isle of Dogs: Lobby Boy, please? Gnome Alone: Well, at least there isn’t another gnome-based animated film this ye- Sherlock Gnomes: Crap. Duck Duck Goose: And we thought emojis were the bottom of the barrel. Animal Crackers: Looks mixed, but hooray for independent studios! Incredibles 2: ALLELUIA! Hotel Transylvania 3: No Popeye? Teen Titans Go to the Movies: MOTHERFUCKING WHYYYYYYYY???? Smallfoot: Well as long as Warner Bros doesn’t rely COMPLETELY on Lego movies. The Grinch: Hopefully it’s good but I’d prefer Illumination focus on the other Seuss books they have. Ralph Breaks the Internet: Genuinely shocked this is happening, and loving it. Into the Spider-Verse: That trailer is DOPE, but I kinda want it to fail so Disney can get the rights back. ;)
Mr. cat The best cat Not exactly. Sony has the full rights, but they are letting Marvel be the producers of the MCU films because they (correctly) think that will get them more money, while they continue being the distributors. The only characters where the rights are genuinely shared are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
If the deal goes through, yes they will. But they have to finalize everything for the deal beforehand, and that's going to take until the end of the year. Until then, Fox still owns the rights.
kirara2516 I would love that so much. Too bad Amy Pascal will most likely never let it happen. Poor Tartakovsky. The man behind Samurai Jack and Dexter’ Lab is now forced to make Adam Sandler films...
Christian Paystrup that’s a little dramatic that’s his choice to create the third one, not by force; but I do have a feeling that Adam Sandler will have full control of the film this time and I mean that in a bad way
Why is everyone hating on the new grinch movie coming in 2018? It could be the dr.seuss movie we’ve been waiting for that is faithful to the source material and has good writing and funny jokes. Also who doesn’t love the grinch and want more of him. Also also Benedict Cumberbatch is voicing the grinch how awesome is that!!
One Reason: it’s a remake of a 2000 live action film which is a remake of a 1967 animated Christmas special which is an adaptation to the a 1957 Dr. Seuss book
Quinny 3000 because Illumination is working on it. It's extremely unlikely it'll be any good. But if it turns out as meme-worthy as The Lorax, then it might not be that bad.
Fubz If Sony does fuck up Spider-Man, I’ll never watch their movies again. I’m a big Spidey fan and I’m craving an animated film after so many live-action ones.
RainbowFalcon I'm having high hopes because if the live action movies can return in glory (yes I know marvel did half of the work) but if they can pull it off like how they did the spectacular spider-man it will be amazing
Ranking every 14 movies of 2017 The nut job 2 1/10 The emogi movie 1/10 The boss baby 3/10 The star 3/10 Lego ninjago 5/10 Leap (balleria) 5/10 Ferdined 5/10 My little pony the movie 6/10 Smurfs the lost village 7/10 Cars 3 7/10 Despicable me 3 7/10 Captain underpants 7/10 Lego batman movie 9/10 Coco 10/10
15:00 I am surprised that it does not appear that Captain Underpants will become a Franchise, despite it’s subtitle stating at as The First Epic Movie, leading us to believe that there’d be more afterwards.
Granted this is just for now, there could be the unnecessary Toy Story 4 or another Captain Underpants movie since the first one was from what I hear a successful film. But omfg a Teen Titans Go! Movie! Wtf is wrong with Cartoon Network? Why do they not see that this show is absolutely awful?!! Also, I’m pretty freakin sure Incredibles 2 is gonna win unless another great comes in.
no one wanted this but here are my personal predictions for the 2018 animated movies: BEST: 1. the incredibles 2 (9/10)2. isle of dogs (9/10)3. ralph breaks the internet (9/10)4. early man (8/10)5. spider-man (8/10) WORST:1. sherlock gnomes (4/10)2. hotel translyvania 3 (4/10)3. duck duck goose (4/10)4. grinch remake (5/10)5. TTG movie (5/10) honorable mention: smallfoot (7/10)
Upcoming thoughts: Early Man: Has MASSIVE potential. Isle of Dogs: Looks great! Sherlock Gnomes: Not gonna lie, I was 99% sure this was gonna be cancelled. Duck Duck Goose: Doubtful Animal Crackers: What Mat said. Incredibles 2: Too late! *14 YEARS TOO LATE.* (In all seriousness, this is gonna be awesome!) Hotel Transylvania 3: Sounds incredibly stupid from the plot synopsis I’ve heard. Teen Titans Go to the movies: GOD HAS LEFT US Small Foot: Interesting... The Grinch: You got it right with Horton, so don’t screw it up like you did with the Lorax! Wreck it Ralph 2: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Spider-Man: Please, oh please, be good.
2018 looks to be another awful year for animation. The only films that have potential to be amazing: Isle of Dogs Incredibles 2 Wreck It Ralph 2 Early Man Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
Kieran Stark Ehh... No I'm not. I only like TTG. I think PPG 2016 is bland and suffers and identity crisis. I haven't really seen a lot of sitcoms in recent memory, but let me tell you: Andi Mack is flipping awesome.
Movies I think are going to be amazing: isle of dogs its west anderson spider man into the spider verse sony has a lot of experience with spider man i mean just see spider man 2 its awesome. The incredibles 2 pixar wir2 its disney
i predict teen titans go movie will get mixed reviews from critics but panned from people who fuel the attention for the show with their hate which means this movie will be successful based on hate
I'm surprised the Breadwinner didn't get on this list. It is a great animated film, a hand-drawn film, and was nominated for an Oscar. Highly recommend!
My Top 4 Best list:4. Lego Ninjago Movie: It was pretty dumb and predictable, but I actually finded it kind of funny and entertaining. 3. Lego Batman Movie: Its for sure the best DC superhero movie from the last 5 years. Great animation, great comedy, and an amazing character development with a strong message. 2. My Little Pony: "Oh COME ON!" You're all over-analizing this film, trying too hard to find on it as much bad things as you can instead of realizing how awesome this movie is. I didn't find it predictable at all, may have some clichés, but they don't become annoying. It has an amazing animation, great songs, a soundtrack that blew my mind, a very simple plot (which is not bad at all), and its really funny. I recomend it for anyone as I do with the show. 1. Coco: Pixar really surpassed my expectations with this masterpiece. Its kind of fun how we were thinking this was going to be a Book of Life rip-off and it ended up being much better than the other movie. Beautiful animation, amazing songs and music, great voice acting, and a really really strong message about family that made us remember that Pixar still has the charm that made us love it.
I would have put Captain Underpants as #3, Lego Batman at #2, and MLP as an honorable mention, mainly cuz I haven't seen it. Not into that kind of crap. Not saying it's shit, but it's just not my thing.
Are you kidding? Dispicable me 3 was awful and embarrassing. How its above cars 3 in any list is beyond me. It was like a Disney sequel. Pointless, unfunny, lazy and a waste of pretty much everything.
Favorites COCO My little pony the movie Captain Underpants Lego Batman Ferdinand Hated The Emoji movie Smurf The Nut Job The Star Didn't care for Despicable M3 Ninjago
Your Name was just kinda... okay i guess? it had plenty of good stuff, the animation and the OST where fantastic, besides the good supporting cast. However, it had some pacing issues and the main characters being pretty bland all things considered.
1. I enjoy your videos and opinions 2. I would have put Coco a #3 with Leap being #1 because I REALLY loved the story. The US voice acting is much better than the Canadian one I'd say. 3. Wasn't a huge fan of the intro talking about politics etc. 4. The MLP movie was very entertaining except for Twilight 5. Please stop hating on Hotel Transylvania
I probably should’ve done this a long time ago, but better late than never. It’s been a couple of years that this was posted since the writing of this comment and I would like to express some apologies for where I went wrong in this video (I’ll also post this in another of my videos where I committed the same sin). It’s ok animat you’re forgiven
Apologies accepted
Of course the emoji movie is number 1 worst because it is hated
Yes Man we forgive you I'm proud that you matured up from your past and you are willing to apologize for it, that's the sign of a good movie critic!
I'm just thankful that "My Little Pony" was given an honorable mention of being placed in the middle, rather then the obvious decision of putting it on the worst list. TAKE NOTE IGN!!!!
Fire Dust exactly!
Well the reason I said "Take note IGN", is because they think MLP is apparently worse then "The Fucking Emoji Movie".
Wow I don’t know what to make of that
I absolutely adore Coco. It really made me tear up at the end, when he sang Remember Me to his Grandma Coco
Seamus Tierney it made me cry . When we left the theater my hubby asked what happened I didn’t want to admit it so I just pretended that my eyes were just itchy and the reason they were red was because I was rubbing them .
Spoilers
The second Pixar film after Toy Story 2 to make me cry.
Miscellaneo And Chorkie thank you
Bruh don't spoil it
honestly i'm just happy the my little pony movie wasn't on the worst list
I wish it was
Yeah I thought 💭 it was pretty ok 👌
I don't like MLP but I doubt the movie is that bad
Fun Fact: The guy who voiced child Tim in The Boss Baby is the grandson of the most inappropriate man of all time, Ralph Bakshi. Someone in my computer art class (I am a middle schooler) loves Boss Baby and I told her this. She actually looked up him, and man I shouldn't have told her.
AniMat mentioned Miles Bakshi in his review for The Boss Baby.
Sussie the Chin Really!?
Huh, what do you know?
It is because it made the movie called Firz The Cat which is like oh man such a inappropriate movie
Wtf this is real?
AniMat (Back then): "Sony Animation would be better if they closed down."
Miles: Are you sure about that?
Miles and Katie Mitchell
- Am I the only one who thinks the boss baby was supposed to be a short, but then they changed it into a movie?
- While watching the emoji movie, I did my homework and I had more fun doing my homework then watching that movie. No, I didn't saw it on the big screen, I wanna keep my money for something good.
- I really need to see Coco.
I’m noticing a trend. Every year the number one worst is either a January Trash film or a Sony film
Well except 2011
Not this year, Early Man was great from what I heard.
Same, from from 2015, The number 2 worst is always an unnecessary sequel
It's broken now, Arctic Dogs was released in November
This really was a bad year for the animation industry...
I'm predicting that the worst is of course, The Emoji Movie and the best is Coco.
Uh you mean The Salty Pretzel right? Lol
But, how can that be a prediction when he has had his reviews for them posted on UA-cam prior?
for me the best is The lego ninjago movie
I actually liked the animation of the humans in the emoji movie but that’s still the ONLY redeemable part of that movie
People rag on 2016 being a crappy year in general but the animated lineup really was one of its few highlights and a much better selection than 2017.
true
yeah... in short the animated movies that came out this year were a mixed bag, but we made all the way to the end of 2017. but here is hoping the 2018 will be a bright and shiny new year for us!
No Captain Underpants? No "Your Name"?
Oakview Films one sad thing is that the transformers movies have slowly gone downhill with each entry in the franchise.
What they need to do is not focus so much on the humans and explosions and focus on the transformers themselves and on good story and plot.
What would be good is having the people who write the marvel movies, get them to write the plots for the movies and set it all on Cybertron with no humans as then we would do actually get a good transformers movie
Despicable Me 3, 4th best movie of the year, better than LEGO Ninjago?!
Are you fucking kidding me...
Gonna cry?
Aaaah! I never watched the Ninjago movie
Coco made me cry at the theater my god
I STILL WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE
Trey GreninjaX,
IF YOU GET THE CHANCE WATCH IT, ITS ABSOLUTELY STELLAR
Is it better than twilight
@ᑕᕼOKKOᒪᗩTE _ now when i see that comment again i remember i only watched coco
Before I watch, calling it: Coco is #1 Best and Emoji Movie is #1 Worst.
EDIT: Yup, not surprised.
JoyStar same
Same
JoyStar same
+Gabi Garzon *high fives* I cried twice at Coco too! It was a beautiful movie! Also I have a crush on Hector, lol. XD
JoyStar *_fist bumps_* Hector is amazing
You were way too kind for your reaction to "Teen Titans Go! To The Movies".
Eri Pena You were way too harsh for it. We need to get you out of this mysterious trap that the Internet has set up to make TTG such a verbal punching bag and give it backlash. It deserves absolutely none of it. In fact, its hatred should turn into praise
Eri Pena Meh hating ttg is overrated!
MC. Gemstone Thank You!
I believe Coco is one of Pixar's greatest films. The emotion, characters, and storytelling were all incredible!
Calling it now before I watch the video - Emoji Movie will be absolute worst!
That's a fact as love that character you are using as a pic there.
It's ok as if you like the emoji movie then I am fine but if you say it's the best animated film of this year then we have issues.
That honor goes to either the breadwinner or Coco depending on who you ask.
Yep, Miku, you're right. Btw, Hatsune Miku/Miku Hatsune for life XD
Miku Hatsune Can't wait for this year technically anime is animation so...
Found it nice that he’s using the soundtrack from the MLP Movie as background noise for the countdowns.
Same. I am a HUGE fan of MLP.
Yay!
Same!
He says he's not a brony, but after he watched the mlp movie, I think he is one. 😏
So glad that 'My Little Pony: The Movie' didn't end up on the worst list...but speaking of the movie, love the usage of songs from the movie in the countdown!
My Little Engine Productions What did you think of it?
Being a Brony myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie...some things I would've changed, but a majority of the film surprised me
same i loved it
me too any fan of the show would be upset if he did that!
I loved the movie! 💜
Mega Crash The Hedgehog I only movie I skipped out on the star ⭐️ in 2017
They did not screw it up
Well at least the people at Sony animation have a job
Kieran Stark well I mean getting a job is harder than you think
Kieran Stark Dingo Pictures and Video Brinquedo
Too bad they're earning less money than the high school dropout who cleans gas station toilets
TheJediSonic I don't know man there movies make a lot of money
Extiction Animation just because the movies makes a lot of money doesn't mean the workers are getting it. There's a reason some people in the animation try to form unions against their companies for higher pay time and time again.
How would you react if cuphead and mugman made cameo appearances in Ralph breaks the Internet.
I would also love to see hat kid, phoenix wright, maybe some lords from FE,bendy, ninten, ness, lucas,Mario, kirby, red, and even sora
I'm hoping to see, even as background cameos that you'd have to squint to see characters from
-Pokemon
-Gravity Falls
-Star Wars
-Cuphead
-Undertale
-Pixar movies like Coco
-Mario (or some of the Mario-verse characters)
-Zelda characters
Possibilities are endless, really.
+DiisneyGunnet Sweet! Wonder if he'll get a speaking part!
It’s too late for Cuphead the movie was already made
Sorcerer SMC what?! A cuphead movie? I guess the game is that popular.
User Cellspex described Illumination’s quality best. They’re just okay and this is coming from a guy who has yet to see any Despicable Me films
Thomasmemoryscentral Agreed
I thought Despicable Me 3 was alright, it's better than Minions, but still nowhere as good as Despicable Me 1 and 2
"Despicable 3" was ok.
Animat: complaining about 2017 being a bad year
Me, who just lived through 2020 and 2021: Oh, you sweet innocent child…
Don’t forget 2019.
I am so glad that cars 3 was in the best list cause I really liked it
Gabe Nieves Same.
Gabe Nieves same i loved it
I am on your side. Cars 3 is one of the best movies of all time. Better than what haters think.
I totally agree with Coco being the #1 best movie. I LOVED IT!!!
Captain underpeants is better
@A Sleeping Fox maybe...
Good video! 2017 sure was a pretty meh year for animated movies but hopefully 2018 will be much better!
If we all knew that the Emoji Movie was going to be awful, why the hell did you even pay money to go SEE IT? Because of that, the film's gross was 200 mil to 50 mil. I hope you're happy about that fact.
I think it's his job to review animated movies, I don't think he had a choice.
The Emoji Movie is the worst animated movie of all time
Luigi Marinus 3 No offense but, if you legitimately liked it, then I'm glad for you, but if you didn't see it and are just saying it as a joke, it's not funny.
Well, I'm glad you think it's funny. I just find it annoying now.
Spoiler: not a surprise
MegaSoulHero Worse than "Where the Dead Go To Die"?
Leap! Sucked. LEGO ninjago was awesome. My little pony movie? Didn’t watch. Ferdinand was cool. Coco was really great.

Best Animated Films: 1. Coco 2. The Breadwinner 3. The Lego Batman Movie 4. My Little Pony the Movie 5. Cars 3 6. Captain Underpants 7. Despicable Me 3
Honorable Mentions:Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You! Ferdinand LeapYour Name The Lego Ninjago Movie
Worst Animated Films: 1. The Emoji Movie 2. Boss Baby 3. The Nut Job 2 4. Spark A Space Tail 5. Rock Dog 6. The Star
Did anyone not expect The Emoji Movie to be the worst?
Honesty who didn't
Well only if they forgot about the film or didn’t know when this was made
We all knew it was gonna be number 1 on the first list.
@@rhysburns5420The Emoji Movie is the number one worst animated movie of 2017 by Sony and Coco is the number one best animated movie of 2017 by Pixar

Dean Dead Inside Watts And you profile pic is from The Emoji Movie...
Dean Dead Inside Watts why are you ✋🏻?
Cool Bro why am I what? Got Emoji Movie as my pic?
Dean Dead Inside Watts Yeah. You obviously hated the Emoji Movie, so why do you have it as your profile pic?
The SuperBlade Penguin I honestly don't even know why anymore
Give actual credit at least 2017 still had a few handful of Video Game Revivals of this year. So not all Is that bad.
Paolo The Childhood Lover With the TTG movie, that seems likely
Best:
My Little Pony The Movie - Great
The LEGO Ninjago Movie - Great
Cars 3 - Fantastic
Captain Underpants: the First Epic Movie - Fantastic
The LEGO Batman Movie - A Masterpiece
Honourable mentions:
Sing (UK release) - Pretty good
Despicable Me 3 - Great
Ferdinand - Pretty good
Worst:
Boss Baby - Pretty good
Ballerina - Okay...
Smurfs: the Lost Village - Meh..
The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature - Bad...
The Emoji Movie - Cancerous!
Huh. In America, we call Ballerina, Leap! The more you know
The SuperBlade Penguin I know, but here In Britain, It’s called Ballerina.
Clank Zoka Huh. Cool. I didn't know that movie's names could vary in other countries... Interesting
The SuperBlade Penguin indeed
Clank Zoka I love your opinions on all of these movies 😍
Imma guess the best is coco and the worst is the emoji movie
EDIT: huh, I knew emoji movie was the worst but I weren't sure coco or batman was Finna be the best. Good guess then
Nautically Unhappy That's exactly what I said in a different comment he made
Ok. I liked this until you said that Despicable Me 3 was better than Cars 3, with all due respect DM3 was Terrible! The only good part was Balthazar Bratt, so Cars 3 was totally better.
I do enjoy Cars 3 & while despicable me 3 was fine but the sub plots were just pointless (especially with the minions)
Billboardguy1 In which way? Cars had a plot, and took care of the annoying characters in the franchise, In exchange DM3 added new annoying characters, especially Dru, and other Freedonians who were part of the terrible sub-plots of the movie. Anyway, opinions are opinions.
I would put Cars 3 MUCH higher in my list if it weren't for that GODDAMN ENDING.
DeanStuff You're absolutley right.
I mean, come on! We all wanted to see McQueen learn new tricks and end up kicking Jackson's booty, but instead, McQueen becomes the new Doc! Think about all the kids watching it! This could send the message "If you can't beat them the first time, you're already the new version of your Grandpa!"
I just KNEW The Emoji Movie would be #1 from THE START. ;)
MaxBuddyRoo Well yeah, because The Emoji Movie sucked and it is overrated.
The Emoji Movie is overated!
Either The Emoji Movie was played in my theater for just one day, or they didn't play it at all. FDR would be proud.
I honestly thought this years movies were...just...neutral.
+Kieran Stark pandering

Literally, when I heard that there was going to be an Emoji Movie, before I saw the trailer on TV I was just like, "What's it going to be, a ball with legs?" Welp I was right
WHYYY DOO U DO THIS TO US, MOVIE PEOPLE!?
I'm just glad MLP didn't place in the worst.
Melon Tart same there's no way with how good writers there are on the show and the movie
Melon Tart I'm sad Ferdinand was close to the worst
The MLP movie should've been a fucking Direct-to Video movie
Tommy Dee Exactly what I keep saying it’s basically an Extended episode.
Top 5 best animated movies

I just realized that Dreamworks isn’t releasing anything next year. Crazy how they can be releasing 3 films some years and this year 2 and now they have canceled so much (at least Larrikins, Puss and Boots 2 and Madagascar 4 we’re going to be released 2018, not to even mention the films they cancelled that were meant for other years).
Sara Samaletdin At least How to Train Your Dragon 3 in 2019.
It pissed me off to find out that Despicable me 3 (1 billions) made a lot more than CoCo (505 millions)!
My Top 5 Best and Worst:
BEST:
#5: *TIE:* Cars 3 and Ferdinand - I really liked these two equally.
WORST:
#5: Smurfs: The Lost Village - At least Sony picked it up a notch from the live action films.
I'M PRETTY CERTAIN YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS.*
My Thoughts on 2018's Animated Movies:
Early Man - Ah, good ol' Aardman does it again!
*walks off in shame*
Teen Titans Go!
Spider-Man - SONY I SWEAR IF YOU SCREW THIS UP....
dbb yellow The TTG movie will be good. Trust me...
It's got some people who worked on The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman movie, so it COULD be something.
dbb yellow Cars 3 and The Last Jedi is better than Ferdinand
My thoughts:
The LEGO Batman Movie - That movie which was amazing #1
Boss Baby - Pretty Adorable
Smurfs: The Lost Village - Aight
Captain Underpants - Pretty Adorable as well
Cars 3 - They got back on their feet
Despicable Me 3 - Pretty Enjoyable
The Emoji Movie - Clever (all you haters stop nitpicking)
Nut Job 2 - Pretty Clever too except no one asked for this.
Leap! - Okay
The LEGO Ninjago Movie - That movie which was amazing #2
My Little Pony: The Movie - Adorable and FINALLY MORE 2D ANIMATED FILMS!!!
The Star - I haven't seen it yet
Coco - Haven"t seen that yet
Ferdinand - Adorable
2018:
Early Man - It could be enjoyable
Isle of Dogs - Easliy the cutest thing because of Dogs
Sherlock Gnomes - Could be Clever
Duck, Duck, Goose - Okay
Animal Crackers - Haven't heard much of that
Incredibles 2 - Would be Enjoyable but THE CRITICS ARE GOING CRAZY!!!
Hotel Transylvanina 3 -It will be aight
Teen Titans Go! To The Movie - FINALLY A FILM BASED ON A SHOW THAT HASN'T HIT THE BIG SCREEN BEFORE YES!
Smallfoot - Might be anticipating
The Grinch - Could be better then live-action
Wreck It-Ralph 2 - (Disney gives the middle finger to Sony)
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse - This must be an apologize letter for Emoji Movie haters right?
Jon Hall Powerpuff Girls and a few others actually had a movie in theaters.
I can see what you mean with the emoji movie

RPGFan The term itself is naturally ironic. Though I don't use it myself, Appabend usually raises some good points.
For a guy who lives in Indonesia and whose family is living in a farm, he does his job very well.
Emoji movie: uh let’s animate a farting elephant! :D *later* 🐘💨
Everyone watching the movie: uh funny? Ok babe let’s get out before the kids turn on us
*after about a day of subscription*
OMG IT'S FINALLY HERE!
Here’s my personal rundown:
Early Man: Premise looks generic, but it’s Aardman, so PARTY!
Isle of Dogs: Lobby Boy, please?
Gnome Alone: Well, at least there isn’t another gnome-based animated film this ye-
Sherlock Gnomes: Crap.
Into the Spider-Verse: That trailer is DOPE, but I kinda want it to fail so Disney can get the rights back. ;)
Disney still has the rights they share with I think Sony
Luigi Marinus 3 Why wouldn't I?
Mr. cat The best cat Not exactly. Sony has the full rights, but they are letting Marvel be the producers of the MCU films because they (correctly) think that will get them more money, while they continue being the distributors. The only characters where the rights are genuinely shared are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Gemnist doesn’t Disney now own the x-men
If the deal goes through, yes they will. But they have to finalize everything for the deal beforehand, and that's going to take until the end of the year. Until then, Fox still owns the rights.
Maybe Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse can turn bring Sony Pictures Animation back on its feet, who knows?
Super Stitch 🤞Here’s to hoping.
Super Stitch maybe if they start Popeye back up
kirara2516 I would love that so much. Too bad Amy Pascal will most likely never let it happen. Poor Tartakovsky. The man behind Samurai Jack and Dexter’ Lab is now forced to make Adam Sandler films...
Christian Paystrup that’s a little dramatic that’s his choice to create the third one, not by force; but I do have a feeling that Adam Sandler will have full control of the film this time and I mean that in a bad way
Sorcerer SMC I was actually for dramatic, to be honest. I was more mentioning how bad I generally feel for him
Why is everyone hating on the new grinch movie coming in 2018? It could be the dr.seuss movie we’ve been waiting for that is faithful to the source material and has good writing and funny jokes. Also who doesn’t love the grinch and want more of him. Also also Benedict Cumberbatch is voicing the grinch how awesome is that!!
One Reason: it’s a remake of a 2000 live action film which is a remake of a 1967 animated Christmas special which is an adaptation to the a 1957 Dr. Seuss book
Quinny 3000 It's because everyone hated The Lorax Movie, and this is essentially it's sequel, so...
Quinny 3000 because Illumination is working on it. It's extremely unlikely it'll be any good.
But if it turns out as meme-worthy as The Lorax, then it might not be that bad.
Kieran Stark That doesn't automatically mean that it's bad
*grabs popcorn*
Coco was the best moive I have ever seen
Frida Kahlo M O I V E
Madagascar is better
I'm excited for Spider-Man into the spider verse and incredibles 2
Spider- Venom exactly
Fubz If Sony does fuck up Spider-Man, I’ll never watch their movies again. I’m a big Spidey fan and I’m craving an animated film after so many live-action ones.
RainbowFalcon I'm having high hopes because if the live action movies can return in glory (yes I know marvel did half of the work) but if they can pull it off like how they did the spectacular spider-man it will be amazing
What about Breadwinner and My Life as a Zucchini?!
Tristan McCann
My life as a zucchini came out in 2016
20:59
Matt: "We already had Chuck Jones and Ron Howard, what more do you want?"
Me: A good Dr. Suess feature film. We haven't gotten one yet.
Doesn't the Chuck Jones one count?
i meant feature length film, that was a short.
MrDrawingboard1 Yeah and I doubt Illumination will make a good Dr. Seuss film. Especially after the Lorax.
Its sad that the animated ones are actually the better ones.

15:00 I am surprised that it does not appear that Captain Underpants will become a Franchise, despite it’s subtitle stating at as The First Epic Movie, leading us to believe that there’d be more afterwards.
You used a song from the MLP Movie.
Awesome, m8, awesome.
Kate Stardream Are you being sarcastic or are you being honest?
It's hard to tell
Lucario Fan
I'm being honest, I *LOVED* the movie.
Okay just checking
Next year seems OK for animation.
But there will be less movies, so sad if only there were more years like 2016 and 2010.
He ought to review more of the smaller foreign films. But I get it’s hard since they get limited releases.
Also, I’m pretty freakin sure Incredibles 2 is gonna win unless another great comes in.
no one wanted this but here are my personal predictions for the 2018 animated movies:
BEST: 1. the incredibles 2 (9/10)2. isle of dogs (9/10)3. ralph breaks the internet (9/10)4. early man (8/10)5. spider-man (8/10)
WORST:1. sherlock gnomes (4/10)2. hotel translyvania 3 (4/10)3. duck duck goose (4/10)4. grinch remake (5/10)5. TTG movie (5/10)
honorable mention: smallfoot (7/10)
Upcoming thoughts:
Early Man: Has MASSIVE potential.
Isle of Dogs: Looks great!
Sherlock Gnomes: Not gonna lie, I was 99% sure this was gonna be cancelled.
Duck Duck Goose: Doubtful
Animal Crackers: What Mat said.
Incredibles 2: Too late! *14 YEARS TOO LATE.* (In all seriousness, this is gonna be awesome!)
Hotel Transylvania 3: Sounds incredibly stupid from the plot synopsis I’ve heard.
Teen Titans Go to the movies: GOD HAS LEFT US
Small Foot: Interesting...
The Grinch: You got it right with Horton, so don’t screw it up like you did with the Lorax!
Wreck it Ralph 2: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Spider-Man: Please, oh please, be good.
Mystsprit God has given us his greatest gift of all with the TTG movie!
P.S at least there IS going to be and Incredibles sequel. Be grateful
My favorite movie of 2017 is Cars 3, Coco, and Lego Batman miove
And for me Coco, The LEGO Batman Movie and Captain Underpants
2018 looks to be another awful year for animation.
The only films that have potential to be amazing:
Isle of Dogs
Incredibles 2
Wreck It Ralph 2
Early Man
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
BlueNuggetBoy Productions And the TTG movie
Kieran Stark Ehh... No I'm not. I only like TTG. I think PPG 2016 is bland and suffers and identity crisis. I haven't really seen a lot of sitcoms in recent memory, but let me tell you: Andi Mack is flipping awesome.
Yes yes YES!!!!!
Kieran Stark Thank You!
Movies I think are going to be amazing: isle of dogs its west anderson spider man into the spider verse sony has a lot of experience with spider man i mean just see spider man 2 its awesome. The incredibles 2 pixar wir2 its disney
Can Someone Please Tell me What’s The Name of The Song at 0:01 in This Video Please? Also I Miss 2017
i predict teen titans go movie will get mixed reviews from critics but panned from people who fuel the attention for the show with their hate which means this movie will be successful based on hate
you forgot that the boss baby almost killed the internet with people "calling" his number at 3am
I'm surprised the Breadwinner didn't get on this list. It is a great animated film, a hand-drawn film, and was nominated for an Oscar. Highly recommend!
i knew coco would be on this list
I'm not making a top worst because those 4 were the only animated movies I saw this year, the other ones did not get my atention.
Yeah that comment you mentioned about the MLP Movie is why I didn't trust any critics that reviewed the movie.
E1ite Yoshi
Neither cirtics or fans gave this movie a fair analysis and a fair review. I'm still asking what were they really expecting.
Am I the only one that utterly loves hearing Animat go through the upcoming list for next year?

2006-2017
I just realized that Sony Pictures Animation made 3 nationwide movies and all 3 made it onto Animats worst list.
“Non-Fan will think...well...it exist”
Actually, that film is the main reason I started watching the show
I wish you had reviewed Your Name and Koe No Katachi.
Your Name was just kinda... okay i guess? it had plenty of good stuff, the animation and the OST where fantastic, besides the good supporting cast.
However, it had some pacing issues and the main characters being pretty bland all things considered.
danyalillo I guess Mat was only focusing on Weston animation this time!
I think he only reviews movies that had a wide release in theaters, rather than straight-to-DVD or limited release films.
1. I enjoy your videos and opinions
2. I would have put Coco a #3 with Leap being #1 because I REALLY loved the story. The US voice acting is much better than the Canadian one I'd say.
3. Wasn't a huge fan of the intro talking about politics etc.
4. The MLP movie was very entertaining except for Twilight
5. Please stop hating on Hotel Transylvania
