More molasses in dark brown sugar . Make you own regular sugar in a sealable plastic bag add sugar and them add molasses by a table spoon until you like the color seal and enjoy
Brown sugar is nothing more than regular sugar that has molasses added to it. Make your own! For light brown sugar added 3 tablespoons of molasses to 2 cups of sugar. Mix with your hands. Add more molasses for dark brown sugar. Easy peasy.
Thought you were going to keep them as rods kinda of a waste to use them and then crush them up. Use smaller ones, easier to break apart. The rods would have looked so cool, stuck in large vases or goblets with the Easter ribbon tied around them.

Brown sugar is a mixture of White Granulated Sugar and Molasses. Color depends oncthe type of Molasses. Dark is, to me, richer. Bet these would be great dipped in mekted in chocolate or white chocolate. Would be a good Christmas treat, too.
