As a firearms enthusiast of sorts I have to agree with several of the comments below. The scar and all variants of scar would NEVER be categorized as an smg. Thats like calling an F-150 an economy car.

Well even though I had no idea that a pdw version exists that isn't an smg as it is chambered in a rifle cartridge-not to mention its a pdw and not an smg-facts matter when they matter-I appreciate the update though . The reason I take this stuff so seriously is that in the midst of all the gun violence around the world certain classifications of firearms may or may not be banned

The SCAR-L, SCAR-PDW and SCAR-HAMR (the hamr is a squad automatic weapon variant) all Utilize the 5.56mm NATO cartridge. Basically standard for assault rifles. The M4 (all variants that i know of) and most similar platforms all use the 5.56mm round. Now the SCAR-H and Mk20 SSR (squad sniper system variant of the SCAR) both use the 7.62x51 NATO cartridge. (scar h is typically referred to as the MK17 and scar L is typically referred to as MK16. Just a bit of fun knowledge.)

The Scar is not an SMG.. Its a Battle Rifle or an Assault Rifle..

The “ar” in scar stands for assault rifle
Assault rifles fire an intermediate cartridge like 5.56 nato 5.45 Russian or 7.62 x 39.
Battle rifles fire full sized cartridges like 7.62 nato 30.06 or 7.62 x 54 Russian.
So the SCAR 16 would be an assault rifle and the SCAR 17 would be a battle rifle. Hope that clears things up.
LOL AR does not stand for Assault Rifle it stands for ArmaLite. Don't feel bad though 99% of people miss use the term AR...
Also theres no such thing as assault rifles. Just because you hear It in video games and movies doesn't make it a real thing.

What i can tell you is that the factory seal shrinks over time and is known for gen 8 gearbox, simple O-ring slightly oversized will fis that issue :)

The company should add in one more mag with every toy gun they sell tbh

Over time yes but you can still run with plastic gears.
Depends on the gearbox, if you buy some cheap gel blaster, the kind that uses a dummy scope as a magazine, better just use the built-in battery

Loved it... specialy with the 11v battery... i play paintball in woods and abandoned buildings, and also speedball. So i have many paintball makers from AR's to speedball top markers, but i'm really thinking on buying one of those babies to play with my mates. Are there colored gel ammo like paintball rounds?

unfortunately BB's aren't legal in Australia because apparently you can use steel ones at lethal force which we all know is bullshit, mind you i own a .22lr and a .303b so... fucked if i know. also you need a license to own a paintball marker.
There is a scar l,scar h,scar hamar (I spelt that wrong ),scar pdw (SMG version) ,a 9mm conversion,scar dmr thing some other random shit but we all known the AUG gun family is the best

SCAR used a same caliber as a black rifle but the difference between them is the company: SCAR is made the HERSTAL company in Belgium while your black rifles made by COLT

Yeah it'll be fine mate. It may have slightly lower power due to the stock return spring not being able to return the cylinder back to it's initial position in time for the next cycle. That's why many people would recommend chucking in a stronger return spring. And if you go to that effort you'd might as well upgrade the o'ring and run a 1.2mm spring.
No problem. My m4a1 gen 8 is using 11v too with 1.3 spring. Hit hard enough. Really satisfy.
the enging will not gonna have a problem. but the triger swith will burn if you keep run in 11.1v so that you also need to change that switch to a better one. i recommend the 10A switch. if im not mistaken the original swith are just 3A whih is build up just for 7.4v battery.
i also suggest you to try the steel colour cylinder. with over sized Oring.

its shitty qaulity for the price the best m4 is literally two pieces of plastic put together screws showing compared to the same price here you could get a full metal gun easily that looks exactly like the real thing and weighs the same
and that same gun over here you could get a plastic gearbox lpeg for around 20-30 dollars and the bbs dont have to be soaked

That's a vertical grip. That not to prime the weapon it's to (in a real rifle) rack the first round
He's talking in reference to the Gel balls, but even so...loading the first round is also commonly called priming or actioning the weapon

Did you bother go pull the battery protector out of the laser and turn it on? Cause it also turns on a reflex cross reticle in the scope.
am i good in thinking that if you wire a resistor to the fire selector so semi auto is a slower rate of fire than full auto it allows you to run your ammo conservative or full FU mode.
