- This is a 20 minute nearly one take walkthrough of the rainforest canopy. If you have the time, this is really a fun way to virtually transport yourself to the amazon. It's not our normal hi-octane video, but this is more of zen experience.
The ACTS Canopy walkway is the longest in the world. This is a virtual tour, walking from one end to the other. Put in your headphones, sit back and let this be some vicarious exploring for you. Play it as a screensaver or as a background to a party.
The Canopy Walkway is an experience unequaled in the rainforest! At a height of over 35 meters (115 feet) and extending for 500 meters (one-third of a mile), the Canopy Walkway provides a view of the rainforest from the treetops, the best vantage point for observing Amazon wildlife and vegetation. The Canopy Walkway is accessible to all and requires no special skills or equipment. The suspended walkway is spread between 14 of the area's largest rainforest trees and is one of the longest canopy walkways in the world.

I love rainforest they’re so beautiful
Loved this! Had me grabbing the handles of treadmill when the trail snapped and popped. Heavy breathing made it like I was the one doing the hiking. Great joy!!
what an incredible trail.not for the faint of heart.one of the coolest things ive seen in awhile.
+3lullabies Sweet. Glad you liked it. We're actually going to 5 of the big canopy walks across the world this year. This one is my favorite so far...
Bloddy amazing, bless u, what a trip😳❤️
you helped me get 100% on my test thanks
Great canopy walk that cud be seen thro' your eyes and your camera, the scenary of which would not hv been available to me otherwise in my lifetime. Thank you very much for sharing your eyes for 20 minutes with me.
Always wanted to go to the Amazon! I love this as a screensaver for the TV while I'm making dinner or relaxing at the end of the day!
AWESOME is correct, Rob -- this is bio-splendiferous!!!
Thank you for this tour although I'm sure the scene that is the scenery is fantastic from up that high, I would never be able to do it as I am terrified of heights so thank you for posting this
Rodolfo Vasquez, a living botanical legend, Nestor Jaramillo, our climber, and I ran the transect upon which the canopy walkway was constructed. Tom Jensen and Explorama Tours subsidized our work, as well as that of all Peruvian scientists working in collaboration with, or as employees of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. I believe it was Ullar Muhl, among others, who worked with the tour company and Rodolfo and crew to accomplish this feat. Our knowledge of the Peruvian rainforest is owing to the efforts of Al Gentry, Rodofo Vasquez, Oliver Phillips, and their colleagues, such as Cesar Grandez at UNAP in Iquitos. J. Pipoly
Crazy video.. I don't do heights so nice to see what others will do :) And your breathing ,, ok ... lets see how anyone else would be lol .. Great Job !
LOVE IT! Please make more videos like this..I felt as if I was on the walk with you
Thanks!
I was terrified for you the whole time. Snapping wood sounds. I was thinking that bridge would give way at any moment. Glad you obviously made it 😁
Haha I know me too
Thank you so much for this video walk! Aside from being obviously unique, the video is very relaxing. It's been a very stressful day for me, but most of my frustration is gone now after watching your calm walk. And now I know another place I should go to before I get too old :)
+Gnevnyj Awesome. Glad you liked it. Thanks so much for the message.
This is fantastic! Thanks Rob and Meg! So glad to have helped coordinate your Citizen Science Expedition this summer!
AN

Untamed Science
I just edited my entry. I have never been there, pretty much just You Tube. Sorry, but still.
@@jackthompson656 Gotcha. Well, it's definitely amazing. Thanks for the comment. Glad it's on your list.

thank you vry much for your this great job
wow! I am going to do this in June 2024 :)
how stable is the canopy? does it sway?
the heavy breathing
What a great canopy walk! Have to add it to my list :)
It's an amazing walkway!
Aww this!!!
You need to plan this experience...fly into Iquitos (no roads)... boat down the Amazon a few hours ..(we stayed at Hotel Ceiba Tops)...and then more boating down river.
Amazing walkway construction. (no tree damage and I wish the video would have showed the details of the bridges).
We saw lots of butterflies in the trees, heard a lot of birds.
But that feeling of being in the middle of the forest, high in the trees... I need to plan another trip!
Thanks
Amazing, but may give me nightmares. Definitely rather you than me!
Now imagine if this was set-up like maze!!!!! WhOa!
Omg the bridge 😱😱 If I were you I would never ever dare to cross it!! It's too High...
wooooww,,, awesome walkway
Great clip!
Man Rob, you survived all the tourists! ;-) jk I just saw this after watching the Vermont walkway ... I'm hard pushed to tell which one is better. I'm guessing this one is less accessible for folk in wheelchairs.
Good job bro.
All good but the heavy breathing.
Lindsy Cruz u don’t have to be so rude about it if u did these u would be very tired
Could u do it better,.. Really
You forgot to bust open the circuit box and unlock the map for your new territory.
Wow!
I want to try
Kid you need to do it on a small scale first to understand the bigger picture of this future transportation ...
And you are going to need to understand the origins of where it all started(originated) to so that you can build , design or start it up that it's durable eneough...we are living two worlds appart!
A beautiful walk. I thought that the jungle here would have more wild life. I was surprised by the silence and absence of creatures. Is this just the time of day or normal at any time??
Harvey Holloway Hey! You know what, that's the biggest misconception people have of the rainforest. I think people think it's going to look like the zoo with animals flying around all over. In reality the forest is very diverse, but they're not quite as abundant as you might think. So yes, it's normal.
Biophilia Thank You . I have never been there and your comment is to ma a learning experience. Great quality video.
they aree out at night and very well blended in with the canopy , if you spent allot of your life there you get a eye and see many wildlife
Thanks for this great opportunity to get even slightest feeling of such a beautiful environment. Could you please tell little more accurately the area. Which part of Amazon and where at it? Thanks
It's just east of Iquitos, Peru. I suggest checking out amazonrainforestworkshops or explorama lodges to get to the canopy walkway!
Its in guyana
Shakyah Boyce I m sorry but I imagine that you think you are making a joke but you are just misleading people .
Good
Wow. So how high up is it and how many people have died on it?
Imagine if you suddenly encounter any ZOMBIE..
yea
This is amazing! I am a physical therapist and I work with children with disabilities. I was hoping that I could use some of this footage in a video I am making for kids to work on walking on a narrow line, stair climbing etc. Is there a way for me to contact you?
Does it have to be this long?
The forest is big
Its in guyana my country and home town
It’s in Peru not Guyana
hevvy breathing
Is this forest pristine?
Yep...
Hey man :)
May i use the Videomaterial for a musicvideo ?^^
I don't think he would mind... 😶
This open to the public where is everyone? Any tourists?
It's open to the public but it's about 70 miles in the middle of the jungle and a 20 minute hike from the river... so it's hard to get to. I got there before the other tourists came. Honestly, there still aren't many people that come. We're trying to get more though so it can be upheld.
What of kakum nation park in Ghana
I need biophiliac friends I have none
Imagine you saw a snake
good but creaks and breathing
