A bad finish is better than *any* retirement, and a retirement from driver error is a lesser evil than gambling on a worn-down power unit.

Some features I’d love to see in MyTeam in the next few years:
Pre season testing (like practice only more resource points available)
Ability to start a young drivers program
Hire/Fire team members (principles, chief mechanics)
Real sponsors
Drivers from other categories and drivers who have recently left the sport (Hulkenburg, Maldonado, Bruno Senna)
GT Sport Livery and Helmet style editor
Different chassis types (Ferrari style nose, Mercedes style nose, Mclaren style nose)
Reserve/Sim drivers
Ability to select team location in world (this affects travel costs to rounds)

I'd also add the possibility to customize the aspect like large nose/tight nose, spoon wing/linear wing etc.
Also in preseason testing you can test out and change gear ratios which you'll keep for the entire year (this can be massively important since every car caps their revs with base/low stats in career)

I was same last year. F1 is amazing. I would highly recommend Drive to Survive on netflix. It will give you
a better feel for the personalities in F1. Adds a layer of depth above just dudes in fast cars.
Drive to survive is what got me into f1

The amount of times Ben performed overtakes that in real life would have seen him driven into the wall is infuriating, because after this many years, the AI should better

First of all, this series is awesome man. I think I speak for all of us when I say “thank you” for devoting so much time and energy into this.
I have somewhat of a cheesy idea, but I really think it’d be a cool add-in for the game. Awhile back in one of the NASCAR games that I played, there was a feature where you’d lose/gain fans based off of your performance and the interviews you gave every week. This was a really neat feature that made you feel “hooked” to the idea of gaining fans. They increased the incentive to perform well because the more fans you had, the more merchandise you sold which then gave you extra money to spend on R&D, upgrades, etc. it also played a role in the type of sponsors you could get.
Idk. Just a small little feature that adds more realism and a different element to an already awesome game.

True, progress goes sooooo quickly. But Singapore isnt really a good track to showcase. AI is rubbish there.
The problem with 50% races is that the one stop is OP

It sucks to see that we thought at the beginning of the year the AI would be more aggressive and better at overtakes but now u have a Merc stuck behind a Haas
Any body else love seeing Bens progression in this game over the years? You can really see how much better his driving has been and how proud of himself he is! It makes me happy and proud to see 😁

Had the same "problem" in my Singapore GP with My Team mode. Didn't have the same pace, but got the points in a two-stop race. All the front runners did 2 stops and ended up on the back end of the points or outside the points, and Alpha Tauri got a 1-2 with Gasly winning. All the top 5 were 'midfield' cars on 1-stop.
The 2 stop strategy is much faster, so the top AI cars choose it (because they have to start on Softs), but the AI can't get the overtakes done, getting stuck behind cars that are 2-3 seconds a lap slower. It's frustrating. The AI should treat it like Monaco (i.e. a mandatory 1-stop, track-position-is-king strategy).
It really did me over in the constructors championship, since Alpha Tauri got a tonne of points, so did Haas, and really messed it up.
sad to see that codemasters still havent fixed that :(. Hamilton cant overtake the haas for the whole race and you need a half a lap.
Nothing against you or the series, you can´t do anything against it, it just destroys the Video a bit

the inability of the ai to overtake and just overall being more aggresive on the attack/defense is just gamebraking
That’s why I haven’t bought the game yet cus the ai look awful. On f1 2019 there much harder to overtake, but for some reason codemasters have made them worse

When UA-cam Racing is more entertaining than the Real F1 Series. Brilliant setup, qualifying , misclick and race! I do wonder, had you not misclicked and started up on the grid, would you have been able to challenge Vettel for the top podium? Regardless, best race of the day!

Parc *Fermé always applied when starting Q1. In which title was it a thing that you could change parts between Q and the race?? Not in F1 2019 as I remember..
Actually you can do it in all games as you can turn off the Parc Fermé rule

I am not sure tho if this applies on changing between already used parts, never tested that in 2019. I always switch before quali. If you want to get new parts in its obviously a penalty.
