I love your CB 1000 videos. They are so helpful. I'm especially glad you still have the Honda, because you thought about selling it and getting an S1000R. The Honda is the most beautiful bike out there.
    Greetings from Berlin, Germany.

Hi, thank you for tuning into my channel 🙏🏾 .. I’m definitely holding onto the CB1000r, no plans on selling currently. Maybe I’ll get a 2nd bike, but that’s down the road.

    Thanks for the video!
Just a couple of thoughts, using aluminum foil to cover the exhaust pipes may minimize oil getting on them... as for pre-fill/lube the oil filter, you may want to just spin the filter a couple of turns to let paper filament soak up some of the new oil to minimize the new oil from being poured out when installing the new filter. Thank You!

Yoooo, just wanted to say thanks for helping Dakota and Me out with the ECU Flash! Thanks to you my bike runs like a champ! Anyways, I highly recommend AMSOIL, seems like it made my bike run a lot smoother. Anyways another great video! Appreciate you brother!

Thank you, glad you got it sorted!!! I’ll definitely try that for my next oil change. For this change, I actually ordered the Honda oil, but it was the wrong weight. So I had to rush to the local stores to grab some; this is what they had 🤷🏾‍♂️

I noticed you’ve mentioned your in FL, I’d love to see your bike in person, I absolutely love the CB1000R however unfortunately there are no CB1000R’s near me to go visit 😭. Currently deciding between the Ducati Streetfighter V2 and the CB1000R

I'm actually in the Orlando area. The Streetfighter is a solid bike though, I just wasn't a fan of the front end. Also a little bit pricey.

Hey heads up man I know you like to do everything by the book that being said; you can get a oil filter socket that fits perfectly on the end of the filter and I promise it's way easier then using that pipe wrench you would also be surprised that filter is actually supposed to be torqued on to 19 foot pounds and that's important because obviously you wouldn't want it to come off and at the same time it would be easy to tighten it too much it certainly gets a lot tighter than I thought it should be I have a cb500x that also has a similar torque setting for the filter it's not a huge deal but it definitely makes removing the filter much easier I've learned a lot from your Channel glad to give something back I've even seen a couple other videos where guys were so desperate they took the filter off by puncturing it with a screwdriver😂 I'm sure if you check out motion Pro you can find one and they're probably super cheap the one that fit my old Suzuki dl1000 also happened to be the same size as the one from both of my Hondas so it's a good investment because you can get some out of it thanks for the videos man it's cool to get a picture of the Florida life

😂 yes, I was free-styling when I grabbed the pipe wrench. The screwdriver through the filter was my next move. I’ll definitely look into that, just to make sure I’m on point. 🙏🏾

@cyclevybz hey forgot to mention another pro-level trick I learned from another Channel take two small pieces of aluminum foil and you can cover up your headers no oil gets on them no smoke no mess and you can take a small piece of foil under your oil filter and divert waist oil away from everything else underneath it can be a real time-saver just rip it back off and throw it in the trash Good2Go and another awesome use for the aluminum foil is for when you're lubing up the chain you can cover some things to contain the overspray... by the way I tried to look up that sweet chain oiler / cleaner gizmo you had on another video and couldn't find it any chance you might have another link for that thing, it looked awesome

Great video, thanks! Any issues using the Lucas full synthetic oil? I have read some mixed reviews.

No issues with the oil, but I was in a pinch or else I would have gone the Honda oil.

Warm the engine/oil prior to draining? Didn't see that and that's basics.

@@cyclevybz ok, I might have missed it if you mentioned it. Also, to avoid oil spilling out of the filter when you're putting it on just move it around so the oil gets soaked into the filter element.
I use aluminum foil to create a path where the oil gets drained so I don't get it on pipes and the rest, no smoking afterwards :)
