- Shetland actor Douglas Henshall has sparked fury online after claiming the Queen's body is not in her coffin.
The Scots star received backlash on social media after his "shocking" claims as he asked if mourners would still be queuing "if people knew that the Queen isn’t in that coffin".
Furious Twitter users users asked the 56-year-old to "stop spreading lies and conspiracy theories" but Douglas insisted it was a "genuine question" and he was "interested" as he responded.

Thoughts I’ve had 🤔 1. When did coffin and Hearse arrive at Balmoral? (Tv cameras were on the gates from hours before her death announced was there a back entrance I’ve the hills and rivers…? Was there a hearse and coffin and embalmer resident in Balmoral for such a time as this)
2. When did corpse get embalmed prior to leaving Balmoral? A body would begin to get a bit wiffy to say least ( if not on ice - could Thisbe a refrigerated coffin ⚰️??) 🫣

Asking because I’ve been with three ppl when they died, it’s slow, and gruelling as organs shut down one by one; Takes time to die naturally.

These questions should have to been addressed by the public instead of mindlessly swallowing any old guff.
I don’t believe that’s a lead coffin. I don’t believe there was any time to embalm the body. And even if embalmed, a corpse decomposes naturally unless in the fridge/freezer.

I believe that it is possible for them not to put body in. I don't really believe a lot of things we are told. BUT she did look very fraile in that picture with Liz Truss. Like she hadn't been eating(which could be organs shutting down) and they propped her up for the handshake with Truss. I do think it's possibly a thing where when people get to old age and they mentally give up on life, they can stop eating and the body decides to die. Ever since her husband died, she really lost her companion and her reason for life at that stage. I believe people get through the not eating because the body releases morphine like chemicals as they pass, so they don't have the urge to eat.
If they knew she was on the way out, which they did it appears, then they could get the right people to show up to do what needs to be done. I'm 50/50 whether she was in coffin or not to be honest. Edging towards no!
If the coffin was lead lined it would be too heavy for 8 men to lift.....so it's not and is empty.....

If you watch the transfer from the gun carriage to the hearse and watch the pall bearers....it doesn't look like it weighs 250kg (551lb) to 317kg (699lb).

We live in a country of free speach which means we can voice our opinions about the queen good or bad, her passing dosnt change that. The foundstion of the royal family are laid on a history of colonialism explotation, slavery and in the last 30 years variuos scandles etc. Douglas Henshaw was making a point, he said nothing wrong and his views niether suggests he supports or dosn't support the royal family!
