Very timely review. I just picked this one up this morning. It was a nice and completely unexpected consolation prize for yet another fruitless Geo-Force Target run. This may be my favorite McFarlane Batman head sculpt yet, and since I’m in the minority that doesn’t always love soft good capes, this figure is a huge win for me.
The exact same thing happened to me. Went to Target looking for Geo-Force, found this figure instead. And I also much prefer sculpted capes over soft goods. So we're on the same page with this one.
This figure looks a lot like early Batman Breyfogle art. Could pass as a good cheaper Breyfogle Bats alternative, with better colors. Could also pass as Bolland Batman, especially because of the cape.
My favorite part of these genre of video is the accessories and the comparisons. You are maybe the "BEST" at the comparisons. Right up there with D-amazing. I also LOVE his ending photo montage of different poses. ❤🎉 haven't seen anyone else do that !? His comparisons game is good and entertaining as well..however the breadth and eclectic approach is possibly the best in this whole genre ! As always I found your content entertaining, informative, and well structured. MANY content markers fail to hit this very elusive sweet spot in cadence, timing etc.... pased quickly enough to keep your attention yet not so fast that one feels like they have or may miss something. I hope that you and those you care for are happy, healthy, and safe this holiday season and the year to come. Semper Fidelis P.S. I apologize for any words that are out of context or poor punctuation and misspellings. I lost my hand in Afghanistan so now I dictate rather than type and apparently the program thinks that because I'm of italian decent that I must have a speech impediment like Rocky.
Great review. Personally I love this figure. Pretty much my new default Batman. Love the color scheme, and I especially love the head-sculpt. I am not a fan of soft goods on plastic figures so I myself am really glad they went with a sculpted cape. The cape could be a little lighter in weight, but other than that this figure is like a 9.0 for me.
Cape too big too wide He doesn’t play well with others If you display him he takes 3x his allotted space (I don’t display them like that) Head neck one piece bothers me Beyond that he’s great I know you love him but 9 is too high for me for him He’s good He’s very good
@@dHuntersReviews The cape size doesn't bother me too much because I don't display my figures. I keep them neatly stored in drawer bins and take them out when I need them for one of my comics.
I actually picked this one up because of the cape, lol. If the head sculpt was a little more 'realistic', he'd almost be the perfect Bats to just own a Batman.
It seems if McFarlane wanted to save a little money, he could trim a bit of cape off some of his figures like this one. Then maybe invest in more paint for dry brushing on his more plastic looking figures. Great review.
I have the two pack and love it and spawn. I've actually been running up on Platinum chases lately and passing. I do with that the two pack version had the Chase's Head sculpt, its much better than the screaming face.
You actually have the book this one is based on. A lot of people don't realize that there were two Batman/Spawn crossovers in 1994 I don't know why they say 1996. -Batman vs Spawn: War Devil (this figure) -Spawm vs Batman: in(the two pack) The problem is that the art work on the box are from SvB instead of BvS.
@@dHuntersReviewsI know. You show it in the video. I'm just saying it's from 1994 and not 1996. And Spawn vs Batman in the Black and Grey is from the Image story by Todd Mcfarlane. The Blue and Grey is from the lesser known Batman/Spawn from DC. Two different stories--and again, I know you know. It's just that a lot of people don't. And the image from the card is from the wrong book.
When removing the figure and accessaries from the package, I missed 2 of the 4 interchangable hands. I assume there would be 2 molded hands for accessaries, and 2 fists? regardless, I got the right molded hand and the left fist out, of which I figured out. I think that's all I need, but it's just one less way to pose him, without those other 2 hands that I missed.
I love both versions. Maybe the older version a tad better. Longer ears, mean looking and just that cool black outfit. I do wish the new one would of came with a soft goods wire cape.
Definitely not my favorite style of Batman. Depictions on virtually ever cover variant you showed were better (more "classic" in most regards). However, far better head than the versuon from the 2-pack, which was not good.
Tell you what it does have it has the three joker body mould which has been overdone Its not worth £25 here in the UK why do you have you're collection stacked on top of each other it needs displaying.
@dHuntersReviews D, I can't recall what video we were talking about it but I emailed hobby genki and you're right about A.Y Arkham Knight 1.5 here's what they told me about it Good day The damage mask is a pre order bonus, it will not be available if you order once product is release. The difference between original version and 1.5 version is the additional guns and rifle Regarding the figure itsefl, we couldn't see any improvement in the previous 1.5 version (iron spider) at the articualtion/manufacturing level, so it should be same here Thank you for your understanding

I often have a hard time choosing between black and grey or blue and grey for my Batmen.
When the blue is this dark it's the best of both worlds.
