Based on what you showed on the video, as a awk sorc player myself, you have no idea what changed on her. I dont know about the other classes, but based on your information about sorc, this video is completly misleading. This video would be 100% better if you talked to people that actually play the class.

Always liked your videos in the past. Though, this one seems very superficial IMO. And also, for some classes, just not right. Tamer for example has her strengths and weaknesses. Which is how it should be right? Good at 1v1 - bad at large scale. Wouldn't reach for a rework there. - just as an example
I admire your attempt at making a no nonsense quick and clear guide for new players. However I think you should test all classes in pen tuvala and then make your class tierlist for "beginners" AND then also try them out in your endgame gear and add that as a remark how the class feels to you lategame wise. This would give beginner players an idea of what to expect and if or not they should try it out and look up more in depth guides on the class. Just my opinion :) Happy 2022!
I've already spent over 100hrs to make the tier list and this video. Not to mention leveling each class. No body has time to do a better job than this. PS: if anyone testing pve should test at an AP capped location like sausans or helms.

Then i spend hours on discord of each classes get feedbacks. And i never said that ur video is bad or anything it's just after watching ur vidéo i get the feeling that ur opinion is distorded on some classes that's all. The two classes I was most interested in playing were Kunoichi and Nova. And I actually found both of those classes the least enjoyable to play out of the entire cast.
@@PotionShop Drakkania as of right now feels like the only class I will play I guess. She's a little clunky but I like the moveset the best. Berserker is also in my consideration because he seems very strong and not that hard to play. Also might try Corsair because she looked pretty fun and mobile.
For a "beginner", AWK Warrior, AWK Guardian, AWK Musa? I kinda like fast characters, but i cant play all day because of work so, maybie like 1-2h a day, I said those because those, but i can try other characters, im looking to do AWK because I have allways picked succ (Lahn, Striker and Mystic), i liked them all but im not in a mood to play them after a come back to the game, I want a character whos good at PVE (like end game) and PVP (not so important but ive never tryied to play PVP)

Um, I’m a returning player and I currently just have a Shai I use for life skilling. I was wondering what class I should play looking for a class that is good / great for 1v1 / small pvp is very mobile and has smooth combo transitions. Prefer characters that don’t have dead time (one ability spam) combos.
Never played a MMORPG before. Well I played a month trial of World of Warcraft back in 2010 lol. Was thinking of starting with Sage but if he’s been nerfed to oblivion I guess I’ll go Wizard or Ninja.

Sorc awk pve use to be about spamming violation and increasing its damage through buffs, shards, positioning and debufs to the mobs. Now violation is the last ability the player uses for optimal dps. PS: Learned a lot from the tier list video lol
I'd say you are kinda wrong about valk succession, and if the footage is you playing it, I can see why. She is really dynamic, and high apm (not the highest, but definitely not low), if you play her properly
I googled rq and I've heard witch is pretty good for beginners so I picked witch. I'd like something more close range high dmg to be honest but I still liked the witch. Played some hours
As a demonstration guide for new players it is not a great video. For most classes we can't even see the character and their movements to check out the style and animations. And most your explanations are only really meaningful for people with perspective on the classes already. Next time don't record classes at night time and reduce effect opacity to show off the classes better. And make sure to discuss a set list of points for each class, because some of them had barely any commentary.
@@icekwebbenji9911 classes in bdo have very different play styles. This is the most important thing to consider, because the power levels between them are constantly changing. I don't recommend Ninja, Kunoichi, Musa or Maehwa, Valkyrie, Sorceres, Tamer, Mystic and Striker for beginners though. Because of their design, most of them take longer to learn, and require a lot more button pressing because of their very fast pace. There are easier fast classes you can try like Lahn, Ranger, Archer, Hashashin. I also recommend slower and heavier classes like Guardian, Corsair, Nova, Dark Knight, Warrior, Wizard, Witch, Berserk, Drakania (new class). You can watch last year's guide by Anders to check the visual style of different classes. If you play the newest class though, you get more free rewards to help your progression. And remember to create a SEASONAL character, and pick start at "Ancient stone chamber in Velia" if it gives you options. If you pick a winter location you wouldn't understand the story as it starts at the very end and just gives you a short recap. Anders has a very neat Seasonal guide to help you understand what it is and why you need it too. Have fun.
Hi, I currently main Succ Ninja and I would like to Tag a low APM class for high end grind when compared to Ninja. I play mostly PVE. Which of these do u recommend Succ Berserker, Awak DK, Awak Hashashin, Awak Musa or should I just create a new Awak Striker Or Just play Awak Ninja.
Out off all the classes at 220+ ap the wizard is lacking dps wizard awakening is probably the most simple and fun class i have played but the dps simply isn't there its a shame though and it leaves the class mostly unplayed for the majority of the player bass
Thx for the vid mate! Cant wait for the patch to drop on console tmrw and reroll from awa Nova to succ Mystik. I have mainded awa Nova since her release now and thus dont quite agree that she is only really great once she is overgeared. The trick with her is to always backattack in pve and then the can even tackle content undergeared (given one meets the accuracy requirements for that spot). On everything else I think you got a good point for each class across, especially when they might feel difficult or clunky for new players.

Anyone can buy character Slots and level a character to 62 in a week, I'm just saying stick to your strengths instead of having some mediocre stuff to say about classes you don't like just stick your strengths. Nobody wants it perfect , but misinformation should be called out. Regardless of how hard this was to do. I'm one of the few that don't mind potion.

His claims give off the wrong idea of what the class is and makes people doubt classes. if one wanted to play eather a minion based class (summoning minions to help fight or turning the enemys agenst each other) or a self sustaining class (think healer+dmg+tank (paladin)) what classes fit into eather of those 2 ideals?
@@PotionShop Correction on the minion classes you are right that there are actually none but the closest ones we have are: tamer, striker awakening, corsair awakening and nova succession, maybe sage awakening if you count those discs that shoot lasers.
Hashashin main here. I'd say Hash is great for PvE. Im personally a great fan of his Awakening over his Succession, but I'd say Succession has a lot of AoE tools which is useful in pve.
Beserker or Valkyrie. I'm new to the game and want a class with good AOE burst and decent mobility for PVE and a grab for PVP its between these two. I heard the Valk struggles in low end PVE so I don't know if I want to go through the pain of grinding for hours and hours to high end where she is best
I picked valkyrie in the end. She is pretty underrated and the idea of starting of trash but becoming really good a PvE later will actually feels more rewarding in the end
@@upizzdown-v2331 Where did you heard valk was bad at first ? xd Litteraly the class everyone picks because you can grind by pressing RMB + space and not release it. Even with low gear and that's why everyone picks it for season etc
@@CAWC971 Valkyrie has similar issues to Tamer. They have smaller AOE which means you need to pull packs tighter which generally slows down grinding. Luckily I don't care about how much I pull so...

You know, every single RPG, MMORPG I try to not class spam... and in close to every singe one... I do... I guess is what I can do (to a ~moderate success) in those type of games. And because I end up doing it, I like seeing what other people think of classes because I myself, even if definitely not extensive so am familiar with ~16 awake forms (With some more than others. For example I have Ninja, but if I go ahead and distribute his not so much SPs, which I still haven`t done after the rework as with another 12 of my 17 chars, I will practically have to re learn his buttons and re read the tooltips for the skills coming out of his buttons. Not that I don`t like him, he`s just not my thing, I am one of those warrior main persons and btw Sorc, Potion Shop, is not amongst my 17 :P. Also from pre awake I can tell that if anything I much more like his success, but I don`t like success in general outside of Zerker). I have seen you Potion Shop in Morrolan`s Words & Nerds ... make Morrolan play BDO some more. Typed all this to underline how I've seen plenty of Class related videos (for BDO and of course many other games), but this one outside of being possibly the newest (which considering patch style, not to mention rework development is the most relevant) is also the best I have seen so far. Finally with actual class footage, not just the release clips. Now someone should do extensive on equal~ish gear, same grind spot skill by skill with skill underlined name class introduction. Sounds like lots of work with no less than half an hour of extracted edited video per awakened for those interested in that + half an hour per succession.
1:59 most of the players play him because his fun..... eeeeh NO! most players play him because his easy to learn and control.... man hard classes and easy classes is better to say because most of the players new/old will jump into the easiest class to start the game but this game is about learning your class and be good whit it. striker is littary jump into him and start whit pvp.

Games with very complex animations tend to be gender locked because you can't just transpose a skeleton and skin from female to male and expect it to look good. This creeps animation time, and is often not a cost that a company is willing to pay. As a result, Black Desert frequently has classes that are similar but not identical across genders. Warrior is similar to Valkyrie, Witch is similar to Wizard, Musa is similar to Maehwa, Mystic is similar to Striker. Of course, this doesn't hold 100% true: Ranger and Archer both use bows but play dramatically differently, there's no analog across genders to the Nova, Dark Knight, Corsair, etc.

for beginers best class is witch or wizard awakenking becouse every skills u have super armor or front block even now im playing witch awakening 274 ap 316 dp grinding on elvia orcs (280 ap 340 dp for this spot) some ppl with this dp cannot stand there btw witch and wizard have good aoe dmg also nuker so for beginer that is extra good :D enjoy the game

IF u wanna be a girl you should go with guardian but if u wanna be a man then go with warrior they are both easy to play with and learn the game mechanics.
Typically it is a skillset branch you choose between at level 56. Awakening usually offers a new weapon and playstyle to what you started with. Succession is a more powerful version of what skills you start with. You can only pick one, however Awakening still gives you access to your original skills, but Succession doesn’t give you access to any awakening skills. You can respec in game and change between the two.
and also there is a succession only skills that can only be accessed when you choose succession, and all of your basic skills can be transformed into prime version which is the most powerful version of your skills. So, basically if you choose succession, you're still familiar with your combos with only added few more here and there, while in awakening you have to learn all of the skills to create an entirely new set of combos. Also, you have to change to awakening weapon to access the skills, but don't worry because you can change your weapons in the middle of your combos.
reaper is the most powerful class, good evasion and critical rate. put some high ap gear and increase attack speed. she will destroy anything if you know how to play her.
I feel like striker succ and nova awak are kinda bait classes, striker struggles with cc spamming mobs, you are forced to sometimes interrupt combos and dodge. Nova while being really fast and fun to play simply can't take hits. Im still new at the game and Ik these are powerhouses in the right hands. Wouldn't recommend to fellow newberries.
Love the video. As a new player, I could really use a veteran player's take on each classes. I'm enjoying Nova right now cause she's so kick ass with her mace and giant shield. I'm thinking of making a new seasonal character next season to try but I don't what. I wanna make one or two more classes before I decide on main. Right now, I'm thinking DK and/or Guardian
Sucks to hear that Sage is so gear dependent and he kept getting nerfed, only started little over a week ago and finally got enough SP for full Awak skills but at least now I know I'm gonna need to gear REALLY well to do better. Appreciate the video!
@@PotionShop Even the abilities are quick, especially in awakening. As long as you have max casting speed and use your animation cancels through pre-awakening and awakening, she is a beast.
In other thing if aw valk would be beast more player play it,but true is less and less play with aw valk only have maybe tag for nw or siege. But main Valk only veteran player's do that and still frustrating only few player's is okey with aw valk because they spent a lot of time to practise... but in general aw valk duel is really clunky it's easy get cc if you try avoid grab :)

Archer, Ranger Succ, Witch, Wizard, Dark Knight and Sorc Succ all have good long range abilities. Berkserker Awk is also used sometimes for range. These differ in three ways imo. Range, Mobility and Protections. Archer for example has bad protection, very good range, and only backwards mobility. Zerker Awk is only sometimes ranged but has very good mobility and protections. TLDR best to try a few classes and see which one fits your preferred play style best.
Hey thanks for the video and your hard work! I am fairly new to this game and have been playing ninja suc. I find the class quite tiresome to be honest and was thinking of switching to DK awk! What are your thoughts on this, would this class be easier to master as my time is limited due to work?
Between striker and ninja? I'm new to the game and those were the classes that caught my eye, striker has some noob saibot vibes to him and ninja is literally just Vergil
Is this on original graphical settings or remastered? It looks amazing, the game is so gorgeous already in original so I tend to switch back and forth between original and remastered*
Lahn. She's good in PvP, she's good in PvE, she's got a great character model, she has nice costumes, and she can fly short distances which lets you traverse the map in ways that no other class can. You can use her abilities to jump off very high cliffs and avoid all fall damage, as an example. She's not great in really large-scale PvP, but no new player will be engaging in that right off the bat anyway.
With this video it just looks like most classes are kinda bad and not worth picking up lol Either way it looks like they did rework and still too many classes have problems. It literally gap difference between ones that are great to ones that are meh.

musa and guardian are both good choices. Most people go with guardian for an easy class for beginners

Sorc awk pve use to be about spamming violation and increasing its damage through buffs, shards, positioning and debufs to the mobs. Now violation is the last ability the player uses for optimal dps.

I'd say you are kinda wrong about valk succession, and if the footage is you playing it, I can see why. She is really dynamic, and high apm (not the highest, but definitely not low), if you play her properly

I googled rq and I've heard witch is pretty good for beginners so I picked witch. I'd like something more close range high dmg to be honest but I still liked the witch. Played some hours
As a demonstration guide for new players it is not a great video. For most classes we can't even see the character and their movements to check out the style and animations. And most your explanations are only really meaningful for people with perspective on the classes already.
Next time don't record classes at night time and reduce effect opacity to show off the classes better. And make sure to discuss a set list of points for each class, because some of them had barely any commentary.

@@icekwebbenji9911 classes in bdo have very different play styles. This is the most important thing to consider, because the power levels between them are constantly changing. I don't recommend Ninja, Kunoichi, Musa or Maehwa, Valkyrie, Sorceres, Tamer, Mystic and Striker for beginners though. Because of their design, most of them take longer to learn, and require a lot more button pressing because of their very fast pace. There are easier fast classes you can try like Lahn, Ranger, Archer, Hashashin. I also recommend slower and heavier classes like Guardian, Corsair, Nova, Dark Knight, Warrior, Wizard, Witch, Berserk, Drakania (new class). You can watch last year's guide by Anders to check the visual style of different classes. If you play the newest class though, you get more free rewards to help your progression. And remember to create a SEASONAL character, and pick start at "Ancient stone chamber in Velia" if it gives you options. If you pick a winter location you wouldn't understand the story as it starts at the very end and just gives you a short recap. Anders has a very neat Seasonal guide to help you understand what it is and why you need it too. Have fun.

Hi, I currently main Succ Ninja and I would like to Tag a low APM class for high end grind when compared to Ninja. I play mostly PVE. Which of these do u recommend

Out off all the classes at 220+ ap the wizard is lacking dps wizard awakening is probably the most simple and fun class i have played but the dps simply isn't there its a shame though and it leaves the class mostly unplayed for the majority of the player bass
Thx for the vid mate! Cant wait for the patch to drop on console tmrw and reroll from awa Nova to succ Mystik. I have mainded awa Nova since her release now and thus dont quite agree that she is only really great once she is overgeared. The trick with her is to always backattack in pve and then the can even tackle content undergeared (given one meets the accuracy requirements for that spot). On everything else I think you got a good point for each class across, especially when they might feel difficult or clunky for new players.

I strongly suggest sticking to few classes you actually understand and know about.
Anyone can buy character Slots and level a character to 62 in a week, I'm just saying stick to your strengths instead of having some mediocre stuff to say about classes you don't like just stick your strengths. @Bcake Official I'm going to say just this, there's a reason you don't see any UA-camrs attempting to do what potionshop has done. Because it's not really pheasible. Nobody wants it perfect , but misinformation should be called out. Regardless of how hard this was to do. I'm one of the few that don't mind potion.

if one wanted to play eather a minion based class (summoning minions to help fight or turning the enemys agenst each other) or a self sustaining class (think healer+dmg+tank (paladin)) what classes fit into eather of those 2 ideals?
Self Sustaining: Shai, wizard, witch, valkery
Minion Classes: none (closest thing is tamer, striker awk or corsair succ)
@@PotionShop Correction on the minion classes you are right that there are actually none but the closest ones we have are: tamer, striker awakening, corsair awakening and nova succession, maybe sage awakening if you count those discs that shoot lasers.

Hashashin main here. I'd say Hash is great for PvE. Im personally a great fan of his Awakening over his Succession, but I'd say Succession has a lot of AoE tools which is useful in pve.
Beserker or Valkyrie. I'm new to the game and want a class with good AOE burst and decent mobility for PVE and a grab for PVP its between these two. I heard the Valk struggles in low end PVE so I don't know if I want to go through the pain of grinding for hours and hours to high end where she is best
I picked valkyrie in the end. She is pretty underrated and the idea of starting of trash but becoming really good a PvE later will actually feels more rewarding in the end

Litteraly the class everyone picks because you can grind by pressing RMB + space and not release it. Even with low gear and that's why everyone picks it for season etc
@@CAWC971 Valkyrie has similar issues to Tamer. They have smaller AOE which means you need to pull packs tighter which generally slows down grinding. Luckily I don't care about how much I pull so...

You know, every single RPG, MMORPG I try to not class spam... and in close to every singe one... I do... I guess is what I can do (to a ~moderate success) in those type of games.
And because I end up doing it, I like seeing what other people think of classes because I myself, even if definitely not extensive so am familiar with ~16 awake forms (With some more than others. For example I have Ninja, but if I go ahead and distribute his not so much SPs, which I still haven`t done after the rework as with another 12 of my 17 chars, I will practically have to re learn his buttons and re read the tooltips for the skills coming out of his buttons. Not that I don`t like him, he`s just not my thing, I am one of those warrior main persons and btw Sorc, Potion Shop, is not amongst my 17 :P. Also from pre awake I can tell that if anything I much more like his success, but I don`t like success in general outside of Zerker).
I have seen you Potion Shop in Morrolan`s Words & Nerds ... make Morrolan play BDO some more. Typed all this to underline how I've seen plenty of Class related videos (for BDO and of course many other games), but this one outside of being possibly the newest (which considering patch style, not to mention rework development is the most relevant) is also the best I have seen so far. Finally with actual class footage, not just the release clips. Now someone should do extensive on equal~ish gear, same grind spot skill by skill with skill underlined name class introduction. Sounds like lots of work with no less than half an hour of extracted edited video per awakened for those interested in that + half an hour per succession.

Games with very complex animations tend to be gender locked because you can't just transpose a skeleton and skin from female to male and expect it to look good. This creeps animation time, and is often not a cost that a company is willing to pay.
As a result, Black Desert frequently has classes that are similar but not identical across genders. Warrior is similar to Valkyrie, Witch is similar to Wizard, Musa is similar to Maehwa, Mystic is similar to Striker. Of course, this doesn't hold 100% true: Ranger and Archer both use bows but play dramatically differently, there's no analog across genders to the Nova, Dark Knight, Corsair, etc.

for beginers best class is witch or wizard awakenking becouse every skills u have super armor or front block even now im playing witch awakening 274 ap 316 dp grinding on elvia orcs (280 ap 340 dp for this spot) some ppl with this dp cannot stand there btw witch and wizard have good aoe dmg also nuker so for beginer that is extra good :D

What's the difference between awakening and succession ?
Typically it is a skillset branch you choose between at level 56. Awakening usually offers a new weapon and playstyle to what you started with. Succession is a more powerful version of what skills you start with. You can only pick one, however Awakening still gives you access to your original skills, but Succession doesn’t give you access to any awakening skills. You can respec in game and change between the two.
and also there is a succession only skills that can only be accessed when you choose succession, and all of your basic skills can be transformed into prime version which is the most powerful version of your skills. So, basically if you choose succession, you're still familiar with your combos with only added few more here and there, while in awakening you have to learn all of the skills to create an entirely new set of combos. Also, you have to change to awakening weapon to access the skills, but don't worry because you can change your weapons in the middle of your combos.

reaper is the most powerful class, good evasion and critical rate. put some high ap gear and increase attack speed. she will destroy anything if you know how to play her.

I feel like striker succ and nova awak are kinda bait classes, striker struggles with cc spamming mobs, you are forced to sometimes interrupt combos and dodge. Nova while being really fast and fun to play simply can't take hits. Im still new at the game and Ik these are powerhouses in the right hands. Wouldn't recommend to fellow newberries.
i agree, I played a good amount of nova awk found the fast button pushes or apm just wasn't for me.
Love the video. As a new player, I could really use a veteran player's take on each classes. I'm enjoying Nova right now cause she's so kick ass with her mace and giant shield. Most people really like guardian awakening. leveling the class to 56 is average.
Sucks to hear that Sage is so gear dependent and he kept getting nerfed, only started little over a week ago and finally got enough SP for full Awak skills but at least now I know I'm gonna need to gear REALLY well to do better. Appreciate the video!

ninja is probally top 3 hardest classes to play. I find awk ninja to be more new player friendly but both are rough.
Valk is not slow 😂 if you know how to utilise her and use her combos effectively she is one of the faster classes in the game.

@@PotionShop Even the abilities are quick, especially in awakening. As long as you have max casting speed and use your animation cancels through pre-awakening and awakening, she is a beast.
In other thing if aw valk would be beast more player play it,but true is less and less play with aw valk only have maybe tag for nw or siege. But main Valk only veteran player's do that and still frustrating only few player's is okey with aw valk because they spent a lot of time to practise... but in general aw valk duel is really clunky it's easy get cc if you try avoid grab :)
new player here im 62 lf class to timeskip i was thinking about archer and kuno awa witch has better pve/pvp will i strugle with them on end game pve ?
I think out of those options Kuno Awk would be my person choice.
Witch and archer can both do well endgame but will need more gear than kuno.

Valkyrie is a wonderful class to play as I main her she as a absolute tank
Love large scale fights in mmos. What range class would be good for that and how they differ? Does dk awk count as range for large scale?
Archer, Ranger Succ, Witch, Wizard, Dark Knight and Sorc Succ all have good long range abilities. Berkserker Awk is also used sometimes for range.
These differ in three ways imo. Range, Mobility and Protections. Archer for example has bad protection, very good range, and only backwards mobility. Zerker Awk is only sometimes ranged but has very good mobility and protections.
TLDR best to try a few classes and see which one fits your preferred play style best.
Hey thanks for the video and your hard work! I am fairly new to this game and have been playing ninja suc. I find the class quite tiresome to be honest and was thinking of switching to DK awk! What are your thoughts on this, would this class be easier to master as my time is limited due to work?
assuming you've already tried ninja awakening DK awk is a solid pick, a little awkard against tanky mobs but otherwise very fun.

PS: At level 56 you get to upgrade your class. I personally like the awakening version at level 56.
Kuno succession for me is a blast from what was before the rework, her skills have lower cd so they flow nicer also the dmg in pve is so much better.
Kuno succ is way better, the video was for an average player. Some players may enjoy non-meta characters like kuno. Always play the class you like

Lahn. She's good in PvP, she's good in PvE, she's got a great character model, she has nice costumes, and she can fly short distances which lets you traverse the map in ways that no other class can. You can use her abilities to jump off very high cliffs and avoid all fall damage, as an example.
She's not great in really large-scale PvP, but no new player will be engaging in that right off the bat anyway.
lahn, striker, shia and guardian are all good for new players
