    I don’t know why delonghi don’t care about milk texturing , their steam wand is basically a foam wand

      Because they know how it should be, it’s Italian but Americans don’t even know how to make a cappuccino, they just make a bowl off milk with something that should be espresso which they also don’t have a clue how to make

    Been using this hack for a long time now, just use a zip-tie to secure the rubber thing from shooting off into the hot milk at high pressure or you’re gonne have a terrible time 😂 but with a little practice, you can really blow some minds with how great you can texture milk and make espresso with a real basket!

    My delonghi wand cover has a little additional function that either does foam or “hot milk”. It’s a sliding cover that locks in one of two positions. The hot milk button likely exposes airflow back into the steaming wand

    It's an automatic steam wand, so you don't have to stretch the milk first, and then encorporate the foam, just stick it in fully, and air gets incorporated through it. Of course, the proper method will yield nicer microfoam, but it's for simpler usage.

    • @GooseCrack

    Well, that's the whole point. To make foam. Sometimes you might need it more then you can get from regular steamed milk. Also it helps when you dont want to heat up the milk to much.
    And before someone comment something like "the bubbles are too big", that's why you "polish" the milk. To get rid of bigger bubbles

    • @robster7787
      @robster7787 10 місяців тому

      If its the one with a large hole, the. What you’re supposed to do it just stick it into the pitcher and let it run.
      All it will do is produce lot’s of foam. You need to figure out how to isolate the nozzle.
      Naturally, you should be able to pop it off given that it’s supposed to be the most cleaned part of an espresso machine.

      Reporting again as someone liking my comment reminded me of this comment. Yesterday I tried again with the thing on if I was not skilled enough back then as I improved just a little. I tried it and the volume was increased by foaming up in 2-3 seconds. Took it out instantly. I think those are added for wider range of customers who might not want to fiddle with adding air in and turning the milk inside to distribute the air. Also those customers might value the amount of foam more than the ability to texture the milk.
