  • An article in the December 2008 Journal of Lipid Research coauthored by Boston College Biology Professor Thomas Seyfried, links cancerous tumors to abnormalities in a complex lipid called cardiolipin.
The research reflects new interest among scientists in the work of German physician and biochemist Otto Warburg, who won the Nobel Prize in 1931 for his studies in the field of cell biology.

Mr seyfried you are a true leader in this field. One day the medical world will look back and say Seyfried was right. By then many of the people dealing with this condition will have found you and mteabolic therapy by themself. God bless you.

Wow, just Wow. America's medical system is now a system of checks and balances to maintain "Status Quo" of sickness maintenance. Health is not the priority.
The work by Dr. Seyfried provides a hope that, just maybe, all the medical field isn't mindlessly marching to the beat of big pharm. Thank You Dear Sir!!!!

We’ve saved this like many other videos of Dr Seyfried. It’s beggars belief that since this video was first aired, the medical mainstream have not moved forward in their approach to cancer. However, we get the feeling via UA-cam airing, things will slowly change to accommodate Dr Seyfried’s approach.

I agree, but if all your cells get damage from radiation? Most important is to avoid carcinogens and protect DNA from damage. Also preventing refined sugars avoids fermentation and thus prevents cancer cell replication.

Folks should keep in mind (and this is based on Dr. Seyfried's recent talk) that while it is true that tumor cells require glucose, it is not possible to eliminate glucose from the body - the liver will always synthesize a minimal level of glucose even when the body is in ketosis. Calorie restriction is just as important to control tumor growth; an unrestricted ketogenic diet will do little or nothing. Deoxyglucose (or similar) is also necessary for long term control.

Radiation is not the only carcinogenic cause. Radium is the natural gas and we have in Estonia dangerous levels of radiation, so extra ventilation for houses are needed. And there are many more things to start cancer.
I don't use as well the refined sugar. Nice thing is that I have not been ill since I started pH diet. My bronchitis has gone, there is no runny nose anymore for me, have not got flu while everyone else was ill in my family. What else would I like? I will suggest the pH diet.

Having adequate level of Redox Signaling molecules will help to repair this issue, this works time after time.

Re: this vid/Warburg effect: ketogenic metabolism as a means of eliminating cancer actually involves a Fat-Rich diet. where normal cells have ability to switch to using ketones for metabolism, cancer cells cannot and are effectively starved. Switching metabolism from glycolysis to ketongenic is the optimal state to eliminate cancer; it would naturally follow that this particular fat-rich diet would prevent it as well.

Which fats? Saturated, unsaturated, essential fatty acids? Essential fatty acids delivers oxygen into the cell. There is the key to cancer prevention according to Peskin. Peskin should meet Seyfried and combine their knowledge.

So.. this research is 7 years old and what were the findings?

Brian Peskin also utilizes Warburg’s hypothesis. His solution is lipid based. While Seyfried is a doctor Peskin is a systems engineer. Peskin wrote The Hidden Story of Cancer years ago.

omega 3s are the most important against cancer, I am a bio engineer

Omega 6 is more important according to Brian Peskin. It’s not the omega 6 but the processing of omega 6 in the food industry that is the problem. Peskin utilizes Warburg’s findings.

This is not exactly correct. The fermentation is a cosequence. The primary cause is the abnormal chromosome division in the process of mitosis. And abnormality is caused by damaged DNA in chromosomes.
