This helped a lot. Took my Noble out of the case to check my servo and suddenly there was no resistance in the steering. I freaked out a bit but ai found the replacement springs and followed your video. Thank you. 🙏
I should add, i only broke a spring on one of my FlySky radio's so far. I just bent the spring over, do it slow and in the middle, meeing don't just flip it over. Look at the other end of the spring to see where the bend should be. If you don't it may rub on the plastic on one end. A slow bend will make it so it doesn't break again. I wish i would of removed two more wounds (three total with the break) so it would be a little stiffer. Some have recomended replacing it with a futaba spring because they wanted it it stiffer than the tention adjustment screw could do. I think taking two more windings out would be a better. I notice no difference in missing one winding from the break. Hope this helps.
Good to know. It's a very technical process that requires using the pause and replay at critical spots. I tried to ballance between a long video and speed to get the job done. 1/2 hour video is concidered a long video for a watchable youtube in there ratings. Still learning though. Always re-evaluating.
My sons spring broke in his A Mains, and within 3 races we had to replace the spring for him to race his 4wd buggy race. I was in a bit of a panic trying to maybe connect another Noble radio to his car with no luck. A fellow pit member happened to have a spare spring, so we took up the challenge to quickly replace it. We managed to get into the guts without removing any of the wire harnesses, and with luck everything was still intact. Radio fixed in less than 10 min! With all that, I'm wondering where you got your extra springs, or where they can be ordered as I hear they do break occasionally. Thanks if you manage to read this and can help me in my search. I've tried AMain and RCMart to no luck.
I just bent mine, but bend it in he middle and do it slow so you don't create a week point like they did at the spring factory pumping them out. You can also order a futaba spring (p/n-ubt3440). Somebody is trying it because they want it stiffer.
