Thank you so much this really helped me. Im getting back into RC racing after a 20 year hiatus bought this remote on a recommendation from my local RC store and this video really helped me knock off a lot of rust.... Thanks again!
Yeah where did you buy it from I don't believe you I have looked everywhere and if you live in the U.S like me it is 249 or more unless you buy it from Banggood for 199.00
I love my Noble, it's such a great quality radio, it feels great to use. The USB controller feature that you mention however isn't unique to this radio, the Flysky GT3C hade it and my Frsky Taranis have it
I’ve been using the NB4 for racing for last 6 months and I’m a big fan, will be very interested in the latency tests back to back with your other radios. Thanks
The battery brick comes off because it's meant to used as a power brick for USB charging as well as convenience where you can charge the brick while racing with the remote.
Had mine for five races and it feels better than my sanwa of the same price. I work with heavy objects, so a heavy controller fits me, but might not be good for smaller people.
Yes, It’s well balanced with the battery base, feels very similar in weight to my MT4. The newer Sanwa MT44 is very light. That’s the lightest racing radio I’m aware of if somebody wants smaller and lighter.
Hopefully the wiring and/or contacts in the wheel swivel point is robust and will not short, break or wear out if moved around a lot for comfort adjustments...or loosen over time from vibration or use.
One year on I think from your videos you’re still using the Noble for racing. I guess that means you haven’t found ‘dead spot’ issues that Razor RC found. Is it also still your preferred radio over. Futaba or Sanwa at their £250 mid range handsets?
I found the mixes where great to mix a button with the throttle. hold down the button and max out the throttle and you go from 0 to 100% throttle much quicker than your finger cna, i know with ko-popro this is similar to thier launch feature but found this handy to also give you a strong and sudden break option which can be useful for scale drifting
I started working on that, and got some high speed footage but then I learned more about settings on the radios to lower their latency. Check out the full RC TECH forum on it a latency video is on page 1. www.rctech.net/forum/showpost.php?p=15485345&postcount=148
So far it seems on par and in some ways superior to mid-range Sanwa and Futaba racing radios! RF protocol latency tests will be coming next comparing Sanwa vs Noble vs Traxxas to show the difference in response times.
My buddy bought one. It is a quality radio, we both didn’t like the ergonomic feel of the radio. Just couldn’t get the right feel with it. This is why I bought a Futaba. That’s just my opinion though, may fit others hand much better.
One important note for those using this for crawlers and anything else that needs more channels. This is actually up to an 8 channel radio. I have had mine for for nearly a year now and find little reason to switch to any other radio.
I'm looking at radios to use on my rtrs super nice radio, I'm getting the Radiolink RC6GS It's looks good and has crazy range something like 1900 ft. And telemetry features plus a gyro too.
I also have that radio to test and review. I will be showing that on video soon, but initial impression is the Radiolink RC6GS was noticeably built to a budget to keep the price low.. the trigger and wheel feel is not race quality. For bashing and crawling it's a good choice.. and it does have a long signal range and gyro. Good for the price, but not a racing radio.
Researching a good radio for my son for this summer....he's getting to the point to be competitive and our radios are old entry level stuff... Looking at MT-44/MT-5, Noble, and DX5C/DX5Pro Thanks for the videos, any input would be most welcomed. Cheers
I have an olded graupner radio that is really fast. But i would love to have usb for vrc and mini-z compatibility built in. I really want to build a mini-z track in the basement but hate using different transmiters.
There is an alert when the receiver signal is lost or disconnected, and there is a battery meter for both Tx and Rx, but it doesn’t know how many volts you are running to tell when battery is low. But you might be able to configure something. A LVC on your ESC is typically how I determine low voltage when running.
@@netcruzer this radio has a boat feature too so I don't want my boat to run out off power before I get it to shore 😫 and even some of the spectrum radios have that feature. So any help would be greatly appreciated
Hello, I am interested in what your opinion is of this radio after a year of ownership, specifically outdoor/ off-road buggy racing. I’m looking to try racing 2wd buggies this and would like a better radio than my spectrum dx5 rugged. Thanks
Pretty cool radio John! Seems like it has a nice build quality and has all of the features of my Futaba 4PLS which is pretty cool to see! I personally don't think radio latency is all that huge for racing unless doing something long range. I'm still pretty curious to see how it will do range wise, especially with the fat reciver so I'm definitely exited for the follow-up video's on this thing! 👍
Check out the RC TECH forum on it, tons of info on latency and range performance. I didn’t see this before buying it or recording the video. I need to change to 1 way to get it into fastest response. www.rctech.net/forum/radio-electronics/1042635-flysky-noble-nb4.html
Yes it will be great for that, compared to an MTS the build quality of the Noble is better, more features. The Sanwa uses a slightly faster protocol as I've demonstrated but it's such a minor difference you likely will not notice. The MTS was a 'budget build' MT4-S with some features removed. If buying Sanwa I'd choose MT44 or M12RS over an MT-S because the MT44/M12 series is twice as fast (aprox 2ms documented latency)
@@netcruzer I very much like the idea to utilize the Noble for my Team Associated B6.2, my Arrma Granite Basher and my Scale Crawler (6ch)... This radio seems to be a good choice! Brgds from Germany
I am just getting into drifting. My question is how many channels do I need for a drift car ? I have all the bells and whistles just no radio yet. I was looking I to the flysky noble but I wasn't sure if it had enough channels for me.
I'm "new" to rc cars after a 30 plus year layoff. Futaba Magnum and Kyosho Pulsar were king when I raced and frequency crystals ruled the air waves. If I'm right...I can use this single controller for as many cars as I build as long as I have a receiver for the car? Is that difficult or easy? When I switch from one car to the other...do I just select which receiver I'm wanting to use from the screen?
Correct on both questions. Or do what I often do when I can’t afford a receiver per vehicle is to make new vehicle setups on the model setting screen and just bind each model to the same receiver. Swap the receiver from one vehicle to the next and just select whichever model you’re using on the transmitter. But even easier is to do as you suggest and have a receiver per vehicle and you don’t need to swap them out.
Nice radio, hope it works well for you. Have you gotten into your t6.2 yet. Got mine finally last week and have it all assembled. For me was a great build. Can't wait to see how your build went.
Wow what a review , radio looks killer , my question is , I'm into crawling and looking for a radio that can do 4 wheel steer with full independent from front and back ,,I see it has the basic 4 functions to crawl with , I want full control over the steering on the rear axel
No, their smart telemetry requires spectrum to see. You would get radio telemetry but not the ESC and motor. That info isn’t all that useful in my experience.
It works great. I’ve been using it for over a week and the feel and response is superb, but you are tethered with a cable. I will mention it in my next VRC racing video but it won’t be a dedicated video about Noble on USB.

I didn't say it but yes, there is a mention in the software that if you update the firmware on the transmitter you might need to update firmware on the receivers before they can be used. I think that was more of an earlier problem though, if you get a new FGr4S v2 it might work out of box. Was your receiver a v2?
I just got the NB4 and had a question about setting it up on multiple cars... Once you use the bind plug and bind it to more than one model, you shouldn't have to use the bind plug every time you switch models, right? I was under the impression that I could just power off the car that I'm bound to, switch models in the settings, power on the second car, and it would automatically use the bind memory to sync with the second car without using the bind plug procedure again. Mine doesn't seem to be able to do this and requires me to use the plug every time I switch cars.
Interesting.. I'll find out later I suppose. I've not heard of that issue. Futaba has a auto-bind issue that crops up time to time, and Spektrum DSMR is slowest 'pro protocol', Sanwa FH4T I've never had a glitch with and is the fastest I've ever used. FlySky protocol I'll need more track testing time, we are still in lockdown no opportunity to do it yet.
Price price price. For 700$ CND my 4px leaves me disappointed when comparing it to this 240$cnd radio. If I dropped my 4px and had 700$ available I'd buy the noble instead and buy another buggy lol
