I would love to see an indian company to put out a product of such amazing design, and claim back the golden days of india. Would happily pay 2years salary for this!
It's a load of rubbish.
The rear of the frame is ALL WRONG.
It needs to be minimalistic to be a bobber - with a HARDTAIL frame.

RE is just killing it...I can see a whole lot of future in this bike which will drastically change the Cruze experience...I definitely see this bike as a magazine wallpaper and new face of this generation Cruze era...

Hi, I'm big fan of vintage bikes like Norton, Triumph, Royal Enfield and I used to have RE- 1987 model, it was an excellent experience to ride those bikes. Royal Enfield KX concept is excellent, design and cubic capacity seems to be awesome but sad thing is high CC bikes are waste on Indian roads. In every half or 1 km vl find kacha roads and many speed breakers which can damage bike shocks and other parts.
Our Govt has lot of money which is collected from public through Tax but they don't even bother to construct a proper roads. Even public do not have clear idea to choose politician. When Govt giving approval for companies to launch 500+ or 800+ cc bikes, they should work on roads too for our safety.
Anyway, Congratulations for KX launch and have a safe ride folks 😎👍

It is a RE so prices won't be much on hugher side but I exprct if this bike in production it willcost in range of 5.5-7 lakhs at max and will compete against world class classics like Harley, triumph, Vulcan, etc. and will be a great bike to see on roads of India.... RE is giving more than expected these years. Good Luck to RE on such beautiful projects and hope to see all these concept come into production.
This 900 cc giant looks like it can't bear bumps and pff road made for highway and only for soft smooth road use

I have this question : if Royal Enfield could build a v-twin 1140 cc engine in 1935, why could not they build an engine of their own in 2018 and had to borrow it from Polaris?

The "look" of the KX is that of a *hardtail* , NOT a softtail (at time 1:49).
A hardtail had no compliant rear suspension, i.e. no swingarm, springs, or shocks.
The rear axle mounted directly to the frame, and that's why bobbers had springs under the seat.
The design of the KX is to disguise and hide the rear suspension, and it's a masterpiece!
A softail is a hardtail motorcycle with rear suspension. This is a fact.

RE will put its efforts on 650 twins.. after that they will bring upgraded classic, thunderbird and others to comply with BS-6 norms... So i dont think new bikes are going to come from Enfield in next 2 year

I have NO IDEA where they think they are going with this??? Intentionally building a brand new engine from obsolete tech ....it is an answer to a question no one asked kind of thing.....I was momentarily excited thinking someone actually had designed a 800ish NEW engine to compete with todays engines ....I expected liquid cooled 6 speed 100+ hp with ride by wire quick shifter slipper clutch the whole nine yards but no just old tech slapped together to sort of remind someone of something from the 30's ?? WTH? WHY??
Because the new bikes sucks! Yeah, I've one. It took away the essence of biking. Mine goes from 0-100 in less than 4 seconds.
