Yes, when she’s not at work on the library returns desk, she rocks like you wouldn’t believe! Isn’t it great to be able to listen appreciate a piano played brilliantly.
Wow! My sister shared this to me. My grandma Mamie could play the piano unbelievably well. This was one of her go to favorites! Back in the 60s while we were staying with her she would play the piano and we would sing along this is one she would play and we would dance around the house too.❤️
A tip of the hat to the criminally unrewarded Euday Bowman for giving us such a nakedly simplistic tune (it barely qualifies as a "rag") that really comes to life when talented improvisors have at it. Great job, Faye.
Faye! The kind of truly musical rendering few pieces ever get, pound though they may. You make it sound like the wind, changing directions at will. An eye-opener for me, as a player. Thanks so much!
Wonderful Faye. Love to watch you play. Hope to see you at the Old Time Piano function in Peoria this year. By the way, I'm not a member of that group but would like to be. However, I'm just learning how to play. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

She's a librarian? I just realized I could easily see her in that kind of setting!

what a touching story :)
Played, not shaken. What an absolutely wonderful interpretation that captures the essence of the time it came from...and allows it to live on.

well Lecter, some of us enjoy the music that Faye plays. She's also a lot of fun just to talk about the day and the activities of that day.
This was a really good one!

whenever i hear this...i think of the old joe franklin show on wor in new york
Was there a tiny mistake at the beginning?
(I'm italian). Sinceramente il brano lo ha suonata come fosse un brano classico. Ha sbagliato, andava suonato con il suo stile. Lo stile RAGTIME.
