I can relate to the boy who is non-verbal-autistic, I can speak but I’m also autistic. How I would explain what autism is in my words is basically where a person learns things differently from other people. My parents don’t let the school use cards since there scared of me going non-verbal. Reason why is because I also have a speech issue. I can speak fine is just I stutter, block a lot so in elementary I had to go to speech therapy. Now that I’m in middle school I still have speech therapy. Sometimes in school I can’t understand the work because in my mind, it’s confusing. I kinda hate my 1st math teacher because I need to processing a thing at a time and he says to the people who haven’t finished to “hurry up” but he knows about my autism and it makes me mad but I don’t show it. The symptoms: -avoiding eye contact -hard to understand why others are feeling what they are feeling. -anxious in social situations -finding it hard to say how you feel -seeming rude when you don’t mean to be mean to someone -being socially awkward -delayed milestone -learning in a different way -not wanting to be held or cuddled -not responding to there names when there 12 months old -not following instructions -not looking somewhere when someone points at something -rocking from side to side -attached to a certain object or toy -repeating words,sounds, or tastes -movement problems -difficulty adapting to a new routines or schedules

I started as a gandey dancer aka rail maintenance. Heck I was struck many times in the head by flying debris but kept going. But now these days I work as a safety officer for Everfree Northwest a My Little Pony convention in Seattle Washington. Who happens to have “PTSD” “Depression” and a massive massive issue with my mind known as “Mental Insanity” which the government officials labeled me as I sorta threatened the federal judge with carving his guts out and playing with them if he even dared asking me about Jack in the box who had fired me due to me being a autistic. Even though the I did that he gave me the government disability money and forgave me. So ya… I know the feeling very strongly.
I cannot seem to get a job for the life of me because I'm autistic. I'm high functioning, and I have this dream to be a famous singer but I don't get to perform because of covid-19. Idk what to do to follow my dreams if this pandemic is in my way.
I’m autistic too, but also a Christian. What that means is, I believe in a God who takes a few of us through many of these social and psychological storms to help us grow outside and inside out. If we’ve faced danger, most of us have tended to run away from it instead of facing it down, but as a guy who’s experienced hurt myself I’ve found that every time God had someone knock me down, I still got back up. That’s because somewhere down the line God helped me see those people for who and how indifferent they’ve been, and it’s on the account of that alone that I’ve learned the most important thing: God makes tough soldiers out of hard battles, and the injuries sustained out of those battles only serve to make the troops much stronger. The people who reject guys like you and me and at the same time tell us to “get back into the real world” probably have problems of their own at home due to their lack of ability to communicate (these days with social media telling the world to hate each other). Sticks and stones break bones, and words may hurt, but there are battles that God will fight for us if we step back and face them. COVID is no different than the common flu, and a scar is no different than a paper-cut, but grace is the ultimate antidote for all of them. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10
28:51 Having a son on the spectrum, I am soooo pleased with this video. Watching it made me smile from ear to ear. Greatness, our son is “only” on the lower end of the spectrum, formerly known as Asperger Syndrome, but it still comes with daily challenges. Just like Carson in this video, our son is pretty smart but he processes things differently because, as we say it, his brain is wired differently. Unfortunately, since he doesn’t have all the “typical” autism symptoms, it’s hard to get some of his teachers, especially in German and English class, to understand that he has difficulties when it comes to abstract thinking/putting himself into someone else’s situation. For example: Writing a story about someone’s imaginary vacation. There are too many possibilities for what that person could be doing during that vacation for his brain to process and to just pick one possibility. The reason for that, he is worried that another possibility would/could make a better story. So his brain gets overwhelmed, he gets stressed out, freezes and ends up not being able to write a story at all. That’s just one example. I don’t want to bore everyone with more of them but I think you get what I’m trying to say. Again, THANK YOU for featuring Autism in one of your videos and for showing how it truly is just a different ability. We all have to find our own different abilities to deal with life, and people on the spectrum are no different in that regard. You guys at Dhar Mann Studios do a fantastic job with ALL of your videos by showing different perspectives from different people, cultures, races, backgrounds, sexualities and the list goes on and on, so people that are watching will hopefully change some of their perspectives in some areas of their lives. 28:51 Having a son on the spectrum, I am soooo pleased with this video. Watching it made me smile from ear to ear. Greatness, our son is “only” on the lower end of the spectrum, formerly known as Asperger Syndrome, but it still comes with daily challenges. Just like Carson in this video, our son is pretty smart but he processes things differently because, as we say it, his brain is wired differently. Unfortunately, since he doesn’t have all the “typical” autism symptoms, it’s hard to get some of his teachers, especially in German and English class, to understand that he has difficulties when it comes to abstract thinking/putting himself into someone else’s situation.
For example:
Writing a story about someone’s imaginary vacation. There are too many possibilities for what that person could be doing during that vacation for his brain to process and to just pick one possibility. The reason for that, he is worried that another possibility would/could make a better story. So his brain gets overwhelmed, he gets stressed out, freezes and ends up not being able to write a story at all.
That’s just one example. I don’t want to bore everyone with more of them but I think you get what I’m trying to say.
Again, THANK YOU for featuring Autism in one of your videos and for showing how it truly is just a different ability. We all have to find our own different abilities to deal with life, and people on the spectrum are no different in that regard.
You guys at Dhar Mann Studios do a fantastic job with ALL of your videos by showing different perspectives from different people, cultures, races, backgrounds, sexualities and the list goes on and on, so people that are watching will hopefully change some of their perspectives in some areas of their lives.
