I guess the approach would be, (1) Are you investing for growth where you will take money out by selling your shares and get a small dividend payment whenever (2) Are you investing for dividend payouts on monthly/quarterly etc. I struggle with what I want to build in my portfolio depending on when I think I want to retire or be financially independent.
