As a kid I just wanted to be Cliff! His songs bring back so many memories of my childhood. I was then lucky enough to meet him a few times when I did some work with him, and he really is the nicest guy you could ever meet. After one meeting with him in Portugal he walked out to the car with me to meet the family, stayed chatting for ages and even sang a few lines of Summer Holiday for our youngest daughter. A true star 😊
With Hank and Bruce about, it's not hard to forget how brilliant a guitarist Cliff really is, not to mention how good a composer, as well, "Some Are Lonely," for instance.

I loved the shadows but these days looking at the dance moves is funny. When we wanted to piss off our drummer we would do those steps in front of him. Usually it was good for a drumstick in the back.
I did not mention anyone by name only Cliff Richard...and I still wonder why no-one has come forward to name him...the rest well !!! I am under the opinion that they don't care about anyone and no-one seems to care about them...with Mr Richard he has a lot of family who love him deeply and very loyal fans who have followed him since the late 1950's...they would be devastated ....if he is guilty he will be judged by that public...God forgive him if it ever comes to that
Again you mention Savile...we knew he was weird even then...its the old boys club as usual...I have been trying to understand why you are not answering about Cliff Richard...his name appeared on a list twice...no-one has mentioned anyone complaining about him so far....Anyway I have Grand-children here today so I have to go out with them...I care for family and friends and their children and as an abused child myself I do care desperately but please don't judge
I wouldn't say he was "close" friends with EITHER of them, though Kray allegedly was a fan. One thing I don't understand is why someone hasn't managed to nail Cliff in the 40-50 years they have had to do so. The press would have paid through the nose to get something on Cliff, yet no one in law enforcement or anywhere else has been willing--or able--to produce irrefutable, incriminating proof that he has done anything illegal, if any such proof existed. Money loosens lips like nothing else.
