MetalJesusRocks the combo of you 2 guys and the type of games you guys pick up is awesome. Jesus picking up more main stream games and PC and showing that nintendo support Reggie picking up Japanese games and PAL versions of everything haha. I still get blown away when Reggie can go on for a long while about these Japanese exclusives but has never played Neir, and Rez o gun. Great Vid!
MJR seriously can't thank you enough for being such an awesome dude. I loved the video, these pickup videos are some of the best on UA-cam. Such a chill discussion about each of them and I always learn something new!
MetalJesusRocks I’m so surprised neither of you have fully experienced NieR: Automata yet! That game also blew me away and has definitely earn a spot as one of my favorite games of all time. Truly pushing the limits of the video game media.
MJ, I should have you over to my house (Issaquah). My Hyperspin arcade cabinet has 50K games, mostly everything except present gen and XBox. But pretty much, for instance, nearly every DS game. Plus I have an Ultimate II+ for the C64 (or will later this week).
in another video metal jesus says he often gets unexpectedly caught up in the gameplay of certain games when filming the gameplay for videos and i find that super sweet hahaha
Great episode guys, but I gotta say... Reggie's shirt is even better! Haha thank you so much for repping my channel, Reggie! You are beyond Radical! Awesome pickups! I grabbed an SNES Classic as well. I'm hoping Earthbound 64 releases on the N64 Classic. That'd be insane!
I love your pickups videos! They introduce me to so many great gems, and I feel like I'm hanging out with two really chill friends for an hour. Thanks to you both for the entertainment!
This is one of my favorite segments on your channel. I love the chemistry between yourself and Reggie. You both have such an incredible knowledge and open minds. I love it, keep it up, I live for these :)
These are my absolute favorite videos on UA-cam. You guys are so entertaining, I love hearing your stories, hearing about all the games you love (especially the retro ones), and learning about so many new games! You guys have inspired me to collect myself, and I hope to one day have the opportunity to meet you two. Thank you so much for doing these!
Love these videos, always interesting to see the small video-snippets of games i never heard of, i always find something new interesting in each video. Thanks a lot!
As a viewer its for sure so worth it! :) Thats what make the video into a great information piece and its by far the best pickup series on youtube. I tried watching other pickup videos(on other channels) but when people dont show any pictures or videos of the gameplay it just turn into a list of random titles.. Thanks a lot for the hard work once again! And thanks for the reply, its silly but it made me feel extra appreciated ;)
Recently new subscriber of this channel and I just love the vibe and genuine flow that this channel and guests have, feels like a true gaming channel, nothing to remind of the turbulent times we are currently facing in modern day society. Makes me want to collect all the gba games as I grew up with it. Advance wars number 1 for me.
These are my favorite videos, as you guys always have something that I didn't know about. I shed a tear every time I see a magazine. I couldn't even put a number on all the old magazines I threw out back in the day. I don't know what I was thinking. I love looking through them now.
It's always fun watching you guys sit on the couch and talk about the games you've picked up. You both have such great chemistry and it's really enjoyable to listen to both of your experiences and learning about all these cool new, old, and obscure games. Great vid, fellas!
Love to watch the game pick-up videos, cool to see all the games out there I never heard of, especially with Reggie such good chemistry between you too
I love the effort put into Nighttrap/Wonderboy/Thimbleweed! Funny you brought up Ultima (again, lol), I've been on a Might & Magic III kick since the SNES mini came out . (Made a vid of the best alternatives for anyone who couldn't get one) and I have to say that style of game really needs a keyboard and mouse. There's WAY too much menu interaction to play with a gamepad, it ruins the pacing. I started looking for alternatives to scratch that itch, watched both your Ultima videos and I NEED to get me some Ultima Underworld. Thanks for the great work :)
Great content MJ! Reggie is the best. Recently been on the hype train for new consoles and Digital foundry crap, but I cannot believe how much fun you guys have with founding old games and gems. Great stuff! It's all about the games! Oh and yes, you provide a ton of information. Keep it up!
Even a 4 year old video is helping me find find new games I’ve never played or even heard of🙌🏾💯 thanks love your channel! Love when you 2 guys team up for these vids!
Yeah, it's always a gamble, it seems! I've been meaning to pick up Nier for months now, but I was hoping to nab it at like $35-40 instead of $50ish. But the price is staying so static that I feel better grabbing it now and just holding onto it until after I beat Odyssey, rather than risk it going up from here!
I love watching these videos. There's always lots of stuff I've never heard of before and more than enough that I find interesting. Thanks again, guys!
The pickup videos are my favorite. I went to amazon to look up the GG collection and it started recommending some of the other games from this video lol
Thanks to @MetalJesusRocks and @Radical Reggie I have begun picking up such strange and off of the wall games. These videos have helped me fine AMAZING titles I would have, and have often looked over in the past. NEVER STOP! You guys rock!
I love the GAME PICKUPS videos series. So many games that I've never heard of it. I'm gonna grab a beer and enjoy. Thanks for making my Friday night better.
I live in a city with a population of 20,000 people and we had 50 SNES Classics stocked at Target! It was amazing - I got there when they opened at 8 am and I was #23. Of course, WalMart didn't have any other than what they had for pre-orders and Best Buy was sold out instantly. (We don't have a Toys 'R' Us - closest one is 4 hours away.) Very happy with Target and Nintendo.
This is easily one of the best aswell as one of my fav channels the videos are ALWAYS interesting they keep your attention and they are good length and his hair :)
Love your pickup series. Very informative. Love the chemistry, and the fact that you show a little of the gameplay. Great work guys. Only have one request, maybe you can number each one of these Series from 1 to present. So, I catch up.
Housermarquee, Matterfall developer also developed SuperStar Dust and Resogun, both are amazing old school shooters. Recently they have made Deadnation, alienation and Nex Machinna. Also amazing twin stick shooters, guess that both of you would enjoy.
I did an unboxing and review for the SNES mini, as I was also fortunate enough to get it at the retail price. Reggie has convinced me to get that new Ys game! Also love that you guys include gameplay footage in all of your pickup videos, (as do I) awesome to watch!
Tarks Gauntlet TARKS! my goty is a tie right now between ys 8 and nier automata.. for some reason though I enjoyed the first nier more then automata I'm prob in the minority on that though
TheCrazyNintendoMan ! 2 of those games aren't even out yet! Haha. But so far I'm tied between Nier and botw, but as great of an experience as botw was there was just something about Nier that I think satisfied all of my gaming interests.
It was Cassette Store Day last weekend, so it's definitely a thing with cassettes. No participating retailers in my country, but there was a bunch of countries that had it.
That Thimbleweed Park big box! damnnnn man! ive been meaning to pick this up for my switch but im swamped in a ton of games to get through, recently got Oxenfree too for my switch.
My PS4 and Vita collections need to grow after seeing this video, a little more than halfway througg, and i think i need to pick up like 6 or 7 games! Already stopped the video to ordered GG Collection :P cheers gentlemen, love you guys!
Yep Matterfall is from the same developers as Resogun. Housemarque is one of those developers that you can pretty much buy their games sight unseen cuz every game they make is good. I'm surprised you two retro gamers didn't mention a game they released this year called Nex Machina. Nex Machina is a remake of the arcade classic Robotron 2084 which was probably the first twin stick shooter ever.
I absolutely needed this video after a long week of work. Personal favorite series of yours, they're so much fun, every single episode. Thank you for doing what you do!
I really haven't even been playing games lately, but I still love watching how much fun you guys have with them. And there's no way I'd miss a Reggie video. =D
It was cool seeing you display those classic Infocom game boxes.... I remember first playing Adventure and Zork on a Mainframe terminal in 1982.. I was a serious text adventure gamer... I would draw locations on a piece of paper as squares with objects noted... keeping track where I was in the game world with pen and paper... I would definitely like to collect Infocom game boxes to my favorite text adventures...
I'd still watch these videos and enjoy them...but it's the fact that they put in all the time and effort to show screenshots and videos of each of the games as they're talking about them that really make these amazing to me! 51 minutes? NOT LONG ENOUGH!!! lol
Im new to the channel and to the crew (like 2 days new) but i can watch metal and radical Reggie talk for days and days lmao. Lets not forget kelsey also lmao. Great stuff.
MJR mentions Bayonetta in the same breath as Nier Automata, but never mentions that Nier Automata was developed by Platinum Games like Bayonetta.. Not just coincidence my friend! Also Surprised Reggie hasnt picked up Nier Automata, since hes usually the Japanophile gamer on the show.
Simply negate having to complete counter-attacks in Metroid by jump spinning to kill your enemies using the Varia suit. You don't need to use the melee move once you get this.
Just out of curiosity, what is it that you guys like about video game sound track albums exactly? Do you enjoy kicking it to this stuff? Is it just a collector thing? I can't think of a single game's sound track that I would actually be interested in listening too, outside of the context of the game itself. When sound track albums were fairly common, back in the day, I don't think I ever played a single one. Even back then, it seemed like a strange concept to me.
I got Sine Mora EX last week too. It actually runs in native 4K on PS4 Pro, and the color really pops too. It's just a great shmup, but it looks amazing too. Wish I could get a physical copy of vanilla Sine Mora for Vita.
There is a complete LIST of the 44 games we show in the video description! Thanks for watching!
Does Disk 22 actually have a Monkey Island playable segment, or is it just included as humor?
MetalJesusRocks I’m so surprised neither of you have fully experienced NieR: Automata yet! That game also blew me away and has definitely earn a spot as one of my favorite games of all time. Truly pushing the limits of the video game media.
MJ, I should have you over to my house (Issaquah). My Hyperspin arcade cabinet has 50K games, mostly everything except present gen and XBox. But pretty much, for instance, nearly every DS game. Plus I have an Ultimate II+ for the C64 (or will later this week).
My favorite thing about Metal Jesus poick ups is how he shows gameplay of each game.......... No other pick up person does that
I do ;)
in another video metal jesus says he often gets unexpectedly caught up in the gameplay of certain games when filming the gameplay for videos and i find that super sweet hahaha
Please do ;)
If you have Dollar Tree's in Seattle, you can buy Crimson Ties toys. Tell Drunken Master Paul.
@thefluffygamer does it as well
51 minute pickups video.... you guys are awesome.
I love how Reggie is always looking over at MJRs games like: whatever you like man.. I wouldn't play that but good luck to you..
Omg!!! This is what I've been waiting for!
REGGIE! Love your style, man! :-) Great job on this video!
I love doing our Pickups videos!!

MJR: "Mine's is so small and compact"
Reggie: "-laughs-"
Love these videos, always interesting to see the small video-snippets of games i never heard of, i always find something new interesting in each video. Thanks a lot!
It's a lot of work capturing most of the gameplay footage...but so worth it!
These pickups videos are like h to my brain for some reason.
Zoned out, don't have to think about my adult life and nostalgic.
Better than crack
Well, more addictive. It seems, and that's saying a lot.
Thanks again for the youtube vids MetalJesusRocks !
Thanks so much for watching my videos! :)
I love these pickups videos because of the length. I can just kick back and watch you guys for an hour.
These are my favorite videos, as you guys always have something that I didn't know about. I shed a tear every time I see a magazine. I couldn't even put a number on all the old magazines I threw out back in the day. I don't know what I was thinking. I love looking through them now.
Such dedication to make such a long video, love it ;)
It's always fun watching you guys sit on the couch and talk about the games you've picked up. You both have such great chemistry and it's really enjoyable to listen to both of your experiences and learning about all these cool new, old, and obscure games. Great vid, fellas!
These are some of my favourite videos on UA-cam. I learn so much about games I would never find on my own, but are so fun to play!
Yes! Always look forward to a new MJR and Reggie pick-ups session.
Love to watch the game pick-up videos, cool to see all the games out there I never heard of, especially with Reggie such good chemistry between you too

Wait... Reggie as a Playstation guy hasn't heard of Resogun????
I love your game pickup videos, man. Always a great way to discover obscure games.

Even a 4 year old video is helping me find find new games I’ve never played or even heard of🙌🏾💯 thanks love your channel! Love when you 2 guys team up for these vids!
You've reminded me that I needed to buy Nier: Automata.
I've now bought Nier: Automata. Late night impulse buys woo!
The Golden Bolt's Game Reviews Was considering it myself. My local Gamestop had four of them. The randomness of different regions right?
Yeah, it's always a gamble, it seems! I've been meaning to pick up Nier for months now, but I was hoping to nab it at like $35-40 instead of $50ish. YESSS!! been waiting for another one of these! I swear I've watched all the others multiple times.

Yep Matterfall is from the same developers as Resogun. Housemarque is one of those developers that you can pretty much buy their games sight unseen cuz every game they make is good. Tachyon Projec looks like a remake of Geometry Wars Galaxies for DS. And I think you said you liked it in a previous video. Correct?
I absolutely needed this video after a long week of work. Personal favorite series of yours, they're so much fun, every single episode. Thank you for doing what you do!
Been waiting for this vid!! Thanks for posting MJR!! Shout out to Radical Reggie!! Awesome!!
I really haven't even been playing games lately, but I still love watching how much fun you guys have with them. And there's no way I'd miss a Reggie video. =D
I wish i could've been able to see you guys at the portland retro gaming expo this year, hopefuly next year. Go Metal Jesus Crew!
It was cool seeing you display those classic Infocom game boxes....
I remember first playing Adventure and Zork on a Mainframe terminal in 1982..
I was a serious text adventure gamer... I would draw locations on a piece of paper
as squares with objects noted... keeping track where I was in the game world with pen and paper...
I would definitely like to collect Infocom game boxes to my favorite text adventures...
Yeah VGP is weird. They have games early sometimes and they sell on Amazon too. Did you buy it from them on Amazon or did you visit Toronto???
Thanks for the amazing pickups.Always look forward to these videos cool to find games I've never heard of from your videos.
I'd still watch these videos and enjoy them...but it's the fact that they put in all the time and effort to show screenshots and videos of each of the games as they're talking about them that really make these amazing to me! 51 minutes? NOT LONG ENOUGH!!! lol
I love the pickup vids. These are definitely my favorites on your channel!

`
Hello enjoyed your program do you have any old strategy guides when they first came out???
Im new to the channel and to the crew (like 2 days new) but i can watch metal and radical Reggie talk for days and days lmao. Lets not forget kelsey also lmao. Great stuff.
MJR mentions Bayonetta in the same breath as Nier Automata, but never mentions that Nier Automata was developed by Platinum Games like Bayonetta.. Not just coincidence my friend! Also Surprised Reggie hasnt picked up Nier Automata, since hes usually the Japanophile gamer on the show.
You and Reggie inform me of games I never knew I wanted. Lol. I love the pick up videos. Lol
Simply negate having to complete counter-attacks in Metroid by jump spinning to kill your enemies using the Varia suit. You don't need to use the melee move once you get this.
Keep doing these collection pick ups very good insight into the games you get great work metal jesus crew
I always learn so much watching you guys. Keep it up!
Just out of curiosity, what is it that you guys like about video game sound track albums exactly? Do you enjoy kicking it to this stuff? Is it just a collector thing? I got Sine Mora EX last week too. It actually runs in native 4K on PS4 Pro, and the color really pops too. It's just a great shmup, but it looks amazing too.
Wish I could get a physical copy of vanilla Sine Mora for Vita.
