Your design is good to save second chember volume. But there no Oring seal in back of top head, so the air can out from back top head when you firing. Maybe can you give your design to me?
I am making my own pcp valve but i can't get it to seal properly, is your seal(the white thingy) made of nylon or POM or something else? And do you have any suggestions on anything else that might be the problem?
its delrin (most plastic can be used as long as it does not have fibers in it, i have used nylon and PTFE as well), if you make it cone shaped where it seals against the metal valve seat, then all kinds of stuff can happen depending on the angle of the cone, the metal can scrape off a little delrin and it wont seal, or the cone can wedge it self tight in which case it wont open the same every time, i sanded mine with 2000 grit, and polished the metal surface to a mirror shine. not the real secret is to make it "cup" shaped, so instead of inner surface of the delrin sealing, its the outer part of the delrin...that way it cant wedge it self, so it opens much more consistently, and because its not wedge more hammer power transfer and open the valve more giving you a boosst in FPE....drop me a message with email and i will be happy to elaborate
@@CygnusX250 i am using an aluminium body with a 60 degrees cone (made with a large center drill on my minilathe). the seal is POM and also made on the minilathe, however everytime i turn the 60 degrees angle i get these tiny ridges on the surface could this be the problem? also could you elaborate on the part about using the outer part of the delrin as the seal instead of the inner part? i would love to learn more, my email adress is thijsvnoordt@gmail.com

then it goes .....breech/barrel should catch it, and allow air to pass through barrel ..... the stock item is more likely to go boom...shooting the stem out...i had one the on table out of gun...and the bottle went like a rocket....likelyhood of seal failing is low though....my failure was down to me going for max and making the seal too small
@@CygnusX250 out of my own dumbness I had a Seneca valve assembly shoot through my door and wall on full pressure. Undid all the retaining screws and the last one with vicegrips, will holding it. Luckily aimed away. But I though it screwed in 😅. I asked the question before going back and taking a better look. And at least in this config it's not aimed at the user. Thanks for response. Considering a homade build on a $250 budget.
Hey I don’t have a hand pump or compressor for my talon ss .177 and the tank is empty. However I happened to have a small attachment which screws onto the tank after detaching it from the rifle. How can I pressurise the tank now?
sorry dude, im not making them anymore, the inherent legal stuff in the US is crazy...i could get sued if some idiot shoots himself in the foot using my valve...totally nothing to do with the valve...but i could. i can however give you schematics so you can go to a machine shop and have made

If the valve seal fails what stopping it from sending it flying out the other end.

Well you need to get a pump, compressor or scuba tank with air in it....and a fill kit....
CygnusX250 won’t a regular shop compressor work? And what does a fill kit consist of?
Shop compressor only go to 150 to 300 psi....you need about 3000 psi
