Eli Manning is so natural on SNL. Hilarious...I had no idea who he was honestly, and just found out he is a football player...that makes his appearance on SNL even more interesting and funny.
They also did a great job writing to his kind of aloof deadpan humor. Like watch the “what is this” sketch he plays that type of guy perfectly. Great job my SNL and Eli.
Who would have predicted Eli Manning, a man who we can't actually be sure knows what football is, to be the one who made the Patriots season perfect for everyone else with 18-1?
such a silly sketch yet it's so good. i don't think i've ever seen jason break? but i think eli's lack of comedic and acting skills combined with his charm are what really make this sketch gold!
He his surprisingly good. Doesn't seem to be reading cue cards either. Maybe he tried to see if this would put him into movies. But that's a weird industry.
I was waiting for the end where they showed us someone playing the finished game as Eli, getting a touchdown and reacting to him making, dropping, and then eating a sandwich.
That grenade launching must have marked Bill, because he did something similar when at Conan O'Brien's show talking about Barry about how he closed his eyes when firing a gun for the show.
4:07 that celebration is actually in Madden 18 but it’s super rare to activate. I got it on franchise mode doing a scrambling TD with Eli and I was so confused
i didnt know who eli manning was (not american) and I just thought he was a random SNL new guy that was hired because of his accurate awkward timings, dude's legit one of my favorite guests, super funny
His 'that how I would throw a grenade' and 'that would be ideal' about eating the sandwich off the ground, there's...there's just no arguing with him. Like, he's right. Its just so unexpectedly funny!
Eli Manning’s such a tool, I love how he commits to the skit wholeheartedly! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 OMFG, I nearly died at the end when they bring Troy Polamalu with a wig covered in motion-capture balls. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“Thy will be done.” “Let’s leave it at the door Tim.” O...m..g he just persecuted that poor man, Tim Tebow! Someone call Pat Robertson on that smug, cap wearing sinner! 😅
A legit great celebration would've been the quarterback to simulate throwing the ball and then putting his hands over his eyebrows to cover from the sun and look into the distance (golf style)
“That’s how I would throw a grenade” lol
Hader: “Good point.” 😂
@@Oz521 I would have missed this! Thank you. 😂😂🤗😂
"He's got long mermaid hair"
I choked on my lunch when he went "ahhh" *throws imaginary grenade*
Wendi Sia yeah that and Bill hader's commentary on his actions made my stomach ache
I especially liked Jason Sudeikis's reaction to that lol. Almost broke but he went with it lol
Should've dropped your sandwich....
You can see Bill trying his absolute hardest not to laugh. Look at his neck and adam's apple as he tries to stifle the laughter.
The only thing he'll blow up with that throw power is himself.
I, for one, prefer the Eli Manning brushing his imaginary insanely long mermaid hair move. It screams celebration!
🧜🏻♀️
You don't realize how big Eli is until he standing next to avg guys like Hader, and he's 6′ 1″ himself.
he’s 6’2, almost 6’3 and eli is still such a giant!
I have buddy who is 6’2 who ran into Eli in New Orleans, got a photo with him. Eli looked quite a bit taller than him.
@@jamesfetherston1190 Eli is 6'5". I said Hader is 6'1"
@@chipsnjoaq5174 Eli is 6'5"
Yeah, but he's built like a guy who does tech support.
Did anyone notice how Bill Hader tried not to laugh after Eli threw the imaginary grenade? It’s so hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
He then agreed with him under his breath about that’s how he would throw it too hahaha

He was great in all of his sketches 😂
Yeah he was better than even any real actors like January Jones
I think sometimes comedy shows are comical and interesting. On some occasions I actually laugh and have fun.
Let’s be honest, nobody predicted Eli Manning to be the one that made Jason break during a sketch.
Eli is known for his undeniable comedic effect.
@@potatoesforlife1234 you're Eli undercover, aren't you?
@@SavagelyBadAtLosing Well, I am a man of many identities.

Lies again? Green Dollars
"That's how i throw a grenade". LMFAO. :)
I've never seen Jason Sudeikis laugh in the middle of a sketch lol
he did it all the time! watch the maine justice sketches or some of the scared straight sketches
@@simonjenkin I mean you would too if you were sentencing someone to eat the chilliest balls of jambalaya you'd ever seen.

Eli Manning is one of the best ever SNL guests
The perfect guest host - willing to do anything and not afraid of looking silly.
You can say that again
His brothers United way SNL still makes my and hurt
I'm not from US and I thought that guest Eli is a legit comedian not a football player! he is funny!!
Same here! Legit just Googled him after seeing this comment!
Check out the courtroom sketch with him in it
WTF! In all the sketches he did such a convincing job!
What? Really?
so he's kinda like a big football star?😳 I'm shocked
It is refreshing to see celebrities who can laugh at themselves.
“He’s got long mermaid hair”😂
I am from Japan, so I don’t know anything about football.
But from today Eli is my favorite American Football player.
You should check out his brother, Peyton Manning, too. He’s got a great SNL sketch.
I like that he doesn’t break and laugh at himself, and comes off legit naive
I've replayed the bit where Eli "throws the grenade" so many times hahaha
Funniest part of all SNL videos I've seen
I might make it my ringtone lol
such a silly sketch yet it's so good. i don't think i've ever seen jason break? but i think eli's lack of comedic and acting skills combined with his charm are what really make this sketch gold!
The term you're looking for is lovable dumbass.
I actually thought it wasn't the real Eli but a professional actor. Well done. XD
Yeah eli kill it
He his surprisingly good. Doesn't seem to be reading cue cards either.
Maybe he tried to see if this would put him into movies. But that's a weird industry.
Wow!!! Eli Manning can act like his a real SNLer! :D
volikoto thanks for that word
Sounds like S analler
Let’s face it Eli’s “ahhhh” was funny af but when Jason went “ahhhh”... I truly had to rewind and rewind because 🤣🤣🤣
I was waiting for the end where they showed us someone playing the finished game as Eli, getting a touchdown and reacting to him making, dropping, and then eating a sandwich.
Same here, I would have loved to see the finished product! Maybe it had copyright provisions.(?)
I love Bill Haders look of disgust as Eli ate an imaginary sandwich of the ground like it was an actual sandwich
Eli Manning is a natural
Not even Jason and bill can handle him
That grenade launching must have marked Bill, because he did something similar when at Conan O'Brien's show talking about Barry about how he closed his eyes when firing a gun for the show.
4:07 that celebration is actually in Madden 18 but it’s super rare to activate. I got it on franchise mode doing a scrambling TD with Eli and I was so confused
Do you have a link for that?
Hahahahaha I would love to see that!! 😆
I found this one for Madden 16 ua-cam.com/video/hW4bZDgqvTs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=youngmultac

funky-ass pyjamas
I thought he said fuck ass!
Eli is such a natural comedian. 😆😆😆
He's got long mermaid hair
Years later the outtakes from the sketch were used in Fortnite
He wasn’t dribbling basketballs, he was testing a trampoline!
You can tell Eli had so much fun
Hahaha he was pretty good, funnier than some of the actor hosts.
Kenan is genius in this sketch. I hope he never leaves SNL.
Amen
His 'that how I would throw a grenade' and 'that would be ideal' about eating the sandwich off the ground, there's...there's just no arguing with him. Like, he's right. Its just so unexpectedly funny!
Eli is very natural and funny. If I didn't know he was a pro-football quarterback, I'd have thought he was part of the cast.
"I'm not wearing them funky ass pajamas."
Bill: No, he's brushing his hair... He's got long mermaid hair"
Me: 🤣🤣🤣
This is literally everything....I can't even right now.
This sketch unironically lives in my head when I think of Eli Manning.
Eli is a natural at this. He’s hilarious 😂
" That would be ideal." Lol
Eli Manning was a great guest! the court room text (U up, U out?) scene is brilliant.
Hehe, 😜
Replayed the grenade part so many times 😂
The grenade followed by the dirty sandwich kinda killed me 😂
Jason's laugh is so adorable.
I don't know who that guy is but that grenade scream had me literally laughing out loud
😂😂 hes drinking water, hes brushing his hair😂😂😂😂😂
My signature move after a touchdown is to unroll some toilet paper and wipey wipey.
jason always plays the director part super good
Lmao when he threw the imaginary hand-granade and shrieked.
The Snl cast gotta love eli.
The eating sandwich victory is perfect, sandwiches are amazing
That granade made my day. Lol.
Eli manning is one of the best guests they ever have I rewatch his sketches over and over. Didn’t know who he was but funny as fudge
"Aaahhhh"
I like how Jason broke instead of Bill
Eli Manning’s such a tool, I love how he commits to the skit wholeheartedly! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMFG, I nearly died at the end when they bring Troy Polamalu with a wig covered in motion-capture balls. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s a tool for doing a good job as an actor?
Jason and Bill are legendary together
The grenade bit was too 😁 😂
How Ted Lasso got his start in American Football.
I love how he throws out a grenade :-)
“Leave it at the door”. Some of y’all need that.
I'm used to Bill Hader breaking character but I rarely see him do so!
Ikr.and like throughout
I laughed out loud at the grenade throw! And the sandwich making...
"I am gonna need more balls"😂😂
"that's how I throw a Grenade"
3:38 is the most realistic part in this SNL skit🤣🤣
When I clicked on this I thought it was a part of the Making SNL series. It was hilarious, but not what I was expecting
OMG!! I love Kenan !!
Anyone else on a SNL binge?
What is up with Eli Manning having perfect comedic timing lol?
I lost it when he ate the sandwich. XD
When he brushes his "long" hair! LOL!
Hears the name Tim Tebow

“Thy will be done.”
“Let’s leave it at the door Tim.”
O...m..g he just persecuted that poor man, Tim Tebow! Someone call Pat Robertson on that smug, cap wearing sinner! 😅

Eli is such a natural comedian 😂
Eli manning is better than 80% of guests lol
Anyone play with this footage since they are in front of a green screen.
haha, that last one killed me ! xD
I'm in love with Eli for the Ahhh.
I legit busted out laughing many times. Soooo awesome.
the last bit was the cherry on the top!
3:46 😂😂lmao I'm dead
I always wondered why in actual madden these were his actual celebrations, now I know
Never fails to make me laugh. Eli is the man!
3:47 "Ahhhowwww!" 😅😅😅
A legit great celebration would've been the quarterback to simulate throwing the ball and then putting his hands over his eyebrows to cover from the sun and look into the distance (golf style)
Jay Pharaoh got some hips there!
This is honestly better than some of the signature celebrations in madden
Serious Hingle McCringleberry vibes coming from this sketch...
As a football player able to do physical comedy it’s a talent
“That would be ideal.”
I’ll never forget when he beat Tom Brady in the super bowl. It was one of the most memorable nights of my life.
What an era when his Breitling watch ads were on billboards in the New York and Philadelphia metro areas.
He's hilarious in his skits
