Albino u miss me u need to go to Egypt
The farthest mosque isn't even in Judea. It was in Somalia. Mogadishu houses the farthest Mosque from Mecca and Medina.
Mecca is 1,493.77 km apart from Jerusalem.
Mecca's distance from Mogadishu is 2,227 km.
Somalis have said they were Exiles from Mecca who were loyal to Muhammad while he was alive. The idea that Somalia wouldn't house the furthest Mosque is laughable. So while Arabs claim the third holiest site is in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. It is actually at the Arba'a Rukun Mosque, which has been speculated to maybe had been built in the 7th century CE. It is also speculated that the current Arba'a Rukun Mosque is a rebuilding of an older Mosque that goes back to the 6th century.
This would also make sense given Arab-Islamic tradition since Ishmael is believed to be the son of a slave who is from Egypt and Egypt believed the holiest land was to their South in a place called Punt, which was likely in Somalia. So reason would stress that the Arabs from before the days of the Mongols might have had the same beliefs. And that the view of Jerusalem was an invention made centuries later to reinforce Muslim supremacy on Jews, especially when the Jews appear to be less willing to be loyal to their Arab-Muslim or Turkish-Muslim superiors. And when the followers of Muhammad became exiles, going to Somalia would be their best choice if the land was revered to them religiously.
In order for a Mosque to be built at the Temple Mount, legitimately, the Jews would have to permit it which would be utter nonsense if anything knows anything about Jews. The current Mosque was one planted there when the Ummayads seized power as the Jews were showing signed of disloyalty in favor of the Khazars. Not really any different than when the Romans sought to build a Temple of Zeus there. Do know the Mosque is in fact older than the story used for its existence.
@Travelingisraelinfo I'm trying to understand two things about the fourth temple:
1. Why did Herode build such a splendid temple for the Jews? Wasn't he Roman? But it was still considered to be the second Jewish temple, correct?
2. If Herode built it and it was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD it lasted not even for a full century, correct?
thanks a lot!
@@thekurdishtapes8317
1) Herod was a Jewish cliente of Rome. Almost everyone wsa a cliente of Rome at that time.
2) Yes that is correct.
Sorry for filling in for Traveling Israel Info.
@@sagittariusa7662 thanks a lot for shedding more light on this question but it's still puzzling. What I understand now is that Herode was actually a Jew himself and reigned as king as a vassal of Rome. But this temple was such an astronomically enormous investment, how did he finance it? And why would he get authorisation from the Romans for it in the first place if the Romans didn't have their own benefit from it?
Because it was not only the temple itself, which was impressive enough, but the entire surrounding wall for the platform of 14 hectars and the entire platform itself. It's beyond imagination how much effort, cost and labour it must have taken to build such a gigantic construction! The wall is almost half a km long and about 20m high and maybe 16m in the ground. It's gigantic. In comparison, the Cheops Pyramid has a base areal of less than 5 hectars, just about a third! I can't imagine that the Jews in and off themselves would have been able to finance and build this without support from the Romans during a time when they had to pay tribute to Rome.
And that leaves the original question: Why would the Romans finance / authorise such a gigantic building for the Jews? That's why I suspect that there must have been a Roman purpose for it. Even if the Jews call it their second temple.
I hope that Oren, or anyone else, will be able to provide an explanation for this mysterium.
I love this simple and easy to understand of the history of the Jewish temple. Oren did a good job !!
So cool I’m a Christian American and have always been so interested in Israel both modern day and history. Such great videos
Oren. Thanks so much. Please do more like this. Enjoy learning about jewish culture. And even more on modern Israeli life
God bless you and your family Oren.
I visited Israel in August and I watched a lot of your videos before the trip. They were very helpful & informative and I love the personal touch of your explanations. I hope to come back!
Hello Oren, you answered every question I've thought about. Straight to the point, so clear, you don't waste time. I will visit Jerusalem with a good understanding, thank you.
A lesson of Jewish history & tradition - especially useful for gentiles 👍
Last shabbat I joined the dancing, it's so much fun and they love it when you join them. (It doesn't matter if you're not Jewish)
Ever notice they dance like the old Russian dances ?
@skywatcher7272 honestly idk what Russian dances look like, interesting tho
@@skywatcher7272the Hasidic dynasties all began in Eastern Europe and Russia so the traditions for them come from there.
Non Jews are theoretically only supposed to stay on the outside area of the temple
But you’d better not be female!
Thanks very much, Oren. These videos are excellent. If only someone would do such a great job regarding Wisconsin.🤓👍
I think that I should fly there and do some videos. Apparently no one from Wisconsin appreciates Wisconsin as I do... :-)
Thank you for all the efforts to explain about whats going on in Jerusalem and Jewish culture.
I love your videos and your teaching!!
Please keep it up...
We, in America have been duped with so much false info about Torah.
Thank you!
Fantastic! Thank you! Even though I was familiar with most of the contents, being a christian and loving Jesus, the jews, Jerusalem, the Bible, etc. But yours is a very comprehensive and well put together explanation. THANK YOU!
You explain things better than the History Documentaries
So good to hear you clear up this number of temples discussion. I noticed many years ago that biblical history recorded more than two. Stay safe.
Mr. Oren,
Much respect for your dedication, passion and your knowledge Israel. Now that they are lifting non-sense of restrictions in Canada. I shall be on my way to the Holy Land very soon. It's fantastic that you are keeping your channel alive. Peace, Love, Respect and Happiness. Shalom.
Many thanks for another wonderfully informative video. I must acknowledge that I will have to watch this more than once as you packed a wealth of teaching into it.
Was wondering what happens with the prayer notes placed within the wall😎
Another great documentary. Todah Oren!
Thank you for making these clear, concise, and informative videos. They're a source of vital information about Judaism and the land of Israel for non-Israelis. I'm a Catholic and these videos increase my knowledge and add to my faith. G-d bless you!
So much interesting history. I truly enjoyed the video. Though I am not Jewish I do have a strong family connection to Judaism so I was fascinated.
Once Again - Brother Oren made an Unique Masterpiece - Very Good for understanding the Jewish People Everytime learning something New from Your Videos - THANK YOU!👑💖👑
Dude, I will all watch all your videos and when I visit Israel I will be the most informed tourist.
Oren, I really enjoy your talks! So informative. I always wondered about all the tassels. Keep the info coming!
As always, Oren, your explanation is pertinent, concise but adequate and very interesting. Thank you for this video rich in content that you present us above.
Very interesting content. Thank you for your patience to explain everything.
Yalla Bye ... :-)) Todah Oren for the tour... it was really fun to hear all of your explanations and to learn from you ! Thanks for making these videos !!
Excellent video and great history. Keep up good work, Todah.
An interesting outline, I learned some things I did not previously know. Many thanks.
THANKS OREN 🤗FOR YOUR VERY DETAILED INFORMATION AND THE REASONS FOR THEM 🧐
I knew that the British did the top layer 😁…because I watched one of your earlier videos 🤭 and I still remembered that 🤗 IT’S GOOD TO SEE YOU posting a video again…with so much information…for all who can’t visit in person 🤗 TAKE CARE …YALLA BYE 👋💚💚💚
Very educational and enlightening. Thank you very much, from São Paulo, Brazil
I want to visit Israel and have a tour with you! Of course, things have to calm down a bit with the recent terrorist attack...
Might be a lot cheaper at the moment 🤔😅
I wish i had had you as a tour guide my trip in Nov 2022.
Thanks Oren for another great video!
I love your videos! It’s worth mentioning that the restrictions prohibiting women from being more active in prayer ritual is a remnant of a bygone age. One of the important advances in the Jewish reform movement is allowing women to be rabbis.
Thank you, in love your videos they are very informative ❤🎉
I still get a laugh when I read or hear the Western Wall refered to as the last remaining remnant of the Temple, even Solomon's Temple! We would heckle tour buses when we were digging along the southern wall when we heard the guides mis-comparrisons. If one really wants to get closer to Solomons Temple then go to the eastern wall where you see a seam in the masonary. The stones change from Herodian to the earlier period stones. And if you know where to look you may notice remnants on the mount itself. Unfortunately, the best preserved remnants are behind the Double Gate but only Muslims can access them. There are photos online taken by Leen Ritmeyer, chief architect of the Temple Mount Excavations, when he was granted access to document the remains in the early 1970's.
And, that my friend is another point to having a housewife😅

Great video. A learning experience about the temple mount, the surrounding walls and the Kings responsible for building the temples in them; as well as the modern Jewish society members now living in the area.
Thank you Oren!! GOD BLESS you...
Shalom, Oren. An excellent and detailed video on Western Wall. Got to know many new things about Jewish religion and culture. Keep making such videos. Toda Raba lekha, Oren. - DS
Thank you for expanding on a tour I had in 1996. My guide then was incredible and you have added to the wonder that is Israel!🇨🇦
Great video, Oren! Thank you.
Helpful and clearly explained. Makes me hopeful to visit Israel soon.

I have been watching your various videos over the past several weeks, and have been enjoying them very much.. 🤍💙🤍💙🤍
The app is great to learn about Israel before actually traveling there. I can't wait to actually use it once I am in the country. A time slot and a flight is all I still need. Thanks for the effort, Oren :-)
Oren videos are amazing!!!!!
Really wonderful content.
Thank you, Oren!
Thank you..for correct information so all people will know
Good information.
My second comment here concerning Jews going up on the Temple Mount (Please also see my first comment)...
In 1165, (on the 6th day of Cheshvan) Maimonides, (Moshe ben Maimon - the Rambam), ascended the Temple Mount and prayed on the Temple Mount. This was the climax of a perilous journey the Rambam took from Morocco to the land of Israel. Rambam wrote with great emotion about his Temple Mount ascent.
Flavius Josephus, in his First Century AD writings on the Jeaish people gives a good description of the temple and its location.
Excellent explanation! I've always wondered why the southern portion of the wall (also Herodian) wasn't venerated as much as the western, it's part of the same retaining wall
6:08 ... 👍 I knew about the Herodian and Muslim additions but not the British!
Thanks
Todah Oren. Looking forward to coming to Jerusalem in 3 weeks, unfortunately a very short 5 days, hopefully at the kotel for maariv for Erevan Shabbat, I’m a reform Jew and this will be my first visit to Israel.
Thank you Oren.
Thanks for your thoughtful account 🎉
Shavua tov, dear Oren! As always, a wonderful video: well made, clear, informative, and interesting. The Talmud says that the Shekhina, God's earthly spiritual presence, travels with us in exile and stays in the Kotel, the Western Wall. After the Second Temple was destroyed in 70 CE, the Talmud also says, the Beit Midrash-- the house of (Torah) study and of prayer, became the "little Temple", the "Temple in Babylon (that is, Exile)". When the Third Temple is built, all those little Temples, the greater and the smaller, will be joined to it. At the start of Shacharit, the morning prayer, on Shabbat, we say: She-yevaneh Beit ha-Mikdash bi-mhera be-yameinu ve-ten chelkenu be-Toratekha, "May the Holy Temple be (re)built speedily and in our days; and grant us a portion in Your Torah." Amen. Be well, and as always, may God bless you and your family and all Israel, and the many friends around the world who watch and learn from you.

Thanks again for another great video! We are coming to Israel in October. I have your pamphlets and am looking forward to exploring!
Thank you so much. 10 Commandments is enough for me.
They are the true commands from GOD. The thousands of commands were added by the mind of men.
@@valerieminster1626 there are 613 commandments written in the Torah. Nothing made up about them.
@@MehWhatever99All man-made. No higher power came down to give any commandments. That is fairytales. There were no talking burning bushes or a Lord (Ba'al) speaking to Moses on a Mountain. All mythical stories. Yahweh wasn't a mountain deity. That was Ba'al.
What about the historian Josephus who had a different comment about the temple's placement. The Roman fort would have been more likely considering the size of legions and all their support. The new testament also mentions that the soldiers traveled "down" to rescue Paul who was dragged from the temple.

Oren, you're the best.
Thank you

The reason that the third and fourth (Herod's) temple are still considered the same as the second is that the Mishcan, the alter, was the same for all three.
The Temple Mount is the most holy site in Judaism. Unfortunately, we can't pray there without being attacked by Muslims, plus there is an issue of an impure Jew walking over the site of the Kodesh HaKodashim, Holy of Holies. I would say the Western Wall does hold some sanctity, but there are now even holier sites available to visit.
At the Davidson Archeological Center, you can walk through the ruins from the second Bais Hamikdosh. You can even walk up the steps which were used 2000+ years ago to the entrance of the Temple. Some areas were converted into places where you can hold a Bar Mitzvah or wedding. Unfortunately, they had to cover up some of the digs to do so.
If you take the Tunnel Tours, you can see the foundation of the Bais Hamikdosh, and then come to a wall on which on the other side is believed to be the Kodesh HaKodashim. If it is not too crowded, you may be able to say some prayers here. There is a small nook where some old women sit reciting psalms, but there is no room for an organized service.
There has only been the Temple that Solomon built and the Second Temple that was restored and expanded. The 3rd Temple will be the one described in the Book of Ezekiel and it will built by the Moshiach as Gd's Prophets foretold. As Isaiah tells, he comes at the End of the Days.
@@paulawallace8784 The second Bais Hamikdosh has been rebuilt twice, but all three are considered to be the second Bais Hamikdosh because the same alter was used for all three. Check the Talmud's account of Herod's temple.
@@MFPhoto1 Two Temples, the second rebuilt and expanded, the Moshiach will build the Third and Final one, it will be the one describe in the Book of Ezekiel.
@@paulawallace8784 Isn't that what I said? Did you try to read my posting?
@@MFPhoto1 Yes, I agree, I added about the final one.
You look good in a kippa, Oren! Keep up the good work! You make all Jews proud!
The city of David is where the temple was.
The Dome of the Spirit is where the Holy of Holies was located.
If the first and "first" second temples would have been built where the dome of the rock is now, then both would have been significantly outside the city walls. The dome ofvthe rock is built on what is left of the base of the Roman fort Antonia.
Toda Oren - great video 💪perhaps next time you could try to explain why some Jewish women are wearing wigs because l do not quite understand where is it coming from. How nice it is, on the other hand, to see you wearing a kippah ✡️ 😊👍shalom and blessings from Poland 🤗❤️🇵🇱❤️🇮🇱❤️
Orthodox married women cover their hair, with no more than the width of two fingers showing. Many of the young religious women, living in Israel have elaborate turban like coverings. But, the ultra-orthodox in the US and Europe usually wear snoods or wigs, and they brought that custom to Israel. Cutting off all the hair, before the wedding, is a right of passage. It is said the custom, of cutting all the hair off, came from eastern Europe, when Jewish women were often raped, shortly before their wedding, by Cossacks, so she would not be a virgin. So women, about to marry, cut all their hair off to be less attractive. I'm not sure that is a true story. Being Polish, you probably have your own horror stories about the Russians.
Shalom Oren. I hope you are OK. When may we expect new videos? I am missing them a lot and l am now watching the old ones like few times which l enjoy anyway 😊 blessings from Poland ❤️🇵🇱❤️

Hi Oren, the title of the other video is ‘the third temple will soon be built, but not where . . Channel name is Terri Buckingham, kind regards,
I learned an interesting fact: They would tie a rope around the waist of the high priest before he entered the Holy of Holies. That way, if something happened to him inside, they could pull him out without having to enter.
Well they have to have a place to pray anyway, so they called it holy…
What you saying is correct!
Oren, I will be visiting Israel for about three weeks starting the last week in November. I have one question. Are you familiar with Gazelle Valley? Is it worth visiting? I read about it. It is a breeding ground for gazelles, who will eventually be released into the wild. Interestingly enough, it is located with the city limits of Jerusalem. It sounds interesting, but I don't know if it is worth a visit.
There is a theory that the lower courses of the western wall are actually Hadrianic, as their style matches those of Hadrian’s other temple structures in Lebanon. Of course, Hadrian built a temple to Jupiter on the mount after the Bar Kochba revolt.
There is a fascinating theory of the location of the Jewish temple by Tuvia Sagiv.
Its actually the roman fort antonia
Thank you Oren. Now I can understand the Jews religion rituals more.
