Laughing at autistic people is degrading. Educating people on signs to watch for with autistic people and encouraging them to have compassion for them is not a degradation.

@@FNG_Star yes the civil unrest and bloodshed was caused, in totality, by closed minded douchebags who don't agree with an internet stranger saying a person has autism.
Not due to economic strain, or sociopolitical division brought on by decades of media sensationalism, or government officials being so out of touch with their constituents that it's laughable. It's not any of that, it's caused by... Pointing and laughing at the disabled.
Tunnel Bob may very well have autism. We don't know and we probably never will. He does exhibit symptoms of the disorder (intense fascination in a single thing, odd speech patterns, impulsivity and persistent repetition of an activity) but from what we know as observers with minimal contact, it might not be. Chances are, if half the stories I've heard about him are true, he's got a lot more going on than autism
