As a new (first time) Subaru owner, I find your videos SO useful -- and have watched a ton of them. Not only do you cover virtually every feature of the vehicles, but you explain things clearly and succinctly and thoughtfully. What a great resource. Thank you!
Thank you for the compliment! Happy to help! 😊
@@alexpmoDitto.
You should make a video about high beam assist adjustment settings and also Auto on headlight settings, they're very confusing about sensitivity levels and how to change them etc. Thanks!
Yes, I'd like a lesson on that, too
Hi Alex, just some info I learned about the lane centering. If you have it on and you let go of the steering wheel, it will steer for about 20 seconds, then start flashing to keep your hands on the wheel. If you don't put your hands on the wheel, it will start blinking faster and begin to beep. It will beep faster and louder. At around 50 seconds, it shuts off the cruise control, and you have to grab the wheel. I have a 2022 Forester Premium. Thanks for the great videos. 😊
Unbelievable! This is not covered in the Operating Manual!!! I had to come here to your UA-cam site! Thank you ever so much!
Great video, Alex. Next time you're on this topic you might also cover these: ONE "Will adaptive cruise just back off the gas, or will it actually apply the brakes?" Yes, it will apply the brakes. TWO "Does adaptive cruise anticipate when somebody is about to change lanes right in front of you?" NO, it does not. THREE Adaptive cruise is only suited to freeway travel and does not work well on city streets; use conventional cruise instead. FOUR Please tell us how to turn off the "Lead Vehicle Acquisition Sound" - the first time I used adaptive cruise on Interstate 465 around Indianapolis this notification was literally sounding a dozen times per minute. I just want the adaptive cruise to do its thing without pinging me constantly. If I hadn't figured this out I would have simply NEVER used adaptive cruise.
Mr. Alex. I am always grateful for your help. I'm from Japan and have a Forester(SH&SK). When driving on the highway, I rely on EyeSight(SK) cruise control. Fatigue-free and comfortable to drive. I think the strong point is that you can freely change the distance between cars. Someday, I want to run on a highway in America 🇺🇸.
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
I drove from Queens NY to Washington DC using mostly adaptive cruise control and lane assist. I felt less fatigued during and after the trip.
Personally feel like adaptive cruise control and lane assist is the closest I would like to get to totally autonomous driving.
We just got a new-to-us 2022 Subaru Ascent Touring and are LOVING it. We're so thankful, Alex, for your UA-cam videos that help us navigate through all the features that we didn't even know existed or did know about but weren't sure how they operated. Interestingly, our cruise control goes up 5mph when we single hit the button and goes up incrementally by 1mph when we hold it down to our desired setting. I don't know if that's a fluke but I'm glad we figured it out. This is our first Subaru and we're loving the smooth ride and many of the trim features of this model.
I don't like the lane centering feature because if I keep a light touch on the steering wheel it tells me I don't have my hands on the wheel, so I have to give it a little tug every few seconds. I find it more relaxing to just steer myself on most roads. I love the adaptive cruise control, though.
Hi Jerry! Which model do you have? I have the Outback Touring XT and it lets me without touching the steering. I have a video on my channel on this!
@@shimoncohen95 2023 Forester Limited
@@shimoncohen95 2023 Forester ... the centering sucks (sorry).
I turned mine off for that reason. First time I drove my car in the wind on the highway full of semi’s I was sick to my stomach. Had to pull off the the first ramp.
I vary, some situations the centering works great and some I feel like a pinball.
Can you please do a video on how to update the software on a Subaru? For example, doing an onboard map update?
I was an early adopter in 2014. I love eyesight and highly recommend it. It takes a little time to be confident with and always stay alert, but it makes trips so much easier.
I’ve had my car for a couple of years now and never knew how the cruise control worked! Thank you for this video!🎉
Greetings from Australia.
Lane cantering is terrible on rural highways here. Ping-pongs you left and right constantly.
And when you come to anything more than a gentle corner, it fights against you turning the wheel enough, and tries to send you over the centre lines. And then beeps angrily at you for going over the lines lol.
On freeways (motorways) however, it’s wonderful.
Your videos are a go to for being a first time Subaru owner. Very Helpful. Thank You
Very helpful! Explanation was clear, concise and on point regarding what I needed to know. It used to be easy to find information in the owner's manual but now seems convoluted because of the technology that's in the car. I am essentially driving a computer on wheels.
Just bought a 24 Crosstrek in June. Great, helpful videos.
You are doing a great job. These functions are a bit tough to get used to, but you certainly help with your clear explanation, starting with the identification of the various controls, and then their application. Beautiful.
Thank you!
I too am a first time owner of a Subaru....manual does not cover what the various buttons do so this video was most helpful....the technology is insane on this brand.
Just got my first Suburu - LOVE it!! Thank you for the tips.
Thank you Alex! I use the cruise control frequently, and I want to add that it will add or decrease speed by 5 mph increments. I tend to avoid using the lane centering due to subtle feel of continuous lane bouncing.
I would like to see one on the Map-Navigation system I just purchase a 2024 outback wilderness and lovin it but still learning all the features
Alex-because of your videos I decided my next car will be the 2024 Crosstrek! It’s on order and I can’t wait to get it!
That’s exciting! Congrats on your new Subaru!
Thanks!!!!
Thanks for the video Alex. I have been using adaptive cruise control with steering assist a lot now on my Crosstek Sport 2024. My key take away is that it works very well on straight highways and interstates. However, I have the feeling that steering assist always puts me too close to the center line. I wish it would put more to the right. Moreover, sometimes it feels like the system is drunk. It puts you a little bit left and right but struggles to find the correct path during long curves. Still, great system that makes driving much more relaxed over long distances.
3rd video on subaru cruise control and your vid is by far the most through, thanks
Thank you so much for the video!! It is really useful to someone like me who is a first time car/ Subi owner :)
Congrats on your first Subaru!
I never knew I could turn off the 'adaptive' part of adaptive cruise control. Thanks, Alex!
happy to help!
We have 2 Foresters (2019 Sport & 2020 Limited) and both are the reverse of what you said... they speed up/down by 5 mph if you just click the switch up/down, and by 1 mph if you hold the switch up/down.
It makes much more sense to me the way the 2023s work! Thanks for another great vid, Alex.
Hi, Alex. On my 2022 Outback the speed set button seems to work differently than you described. If I give the "set" button a "quick" bump up or down, it increases by 5 MPH. If I have the speed set at ,say, 47 MPH and do a quick bump up, the car speeds up to 50 MPH (3 MPH increase) to get to an even 5 MPH increment, then it's 5 MPH with each bump from there on. If I hold the up set button, then it just starts accelerating until I let off and it holds at whatever speed I'm at at that moment. It seems to be the reverse of what you say in the video.
I'd also like to point out that the faster you are traveling, especially on curvy roads, the wonkier the lane centering feels, as it tries to "help" you. At 45-55 MPH the sytem does a terrific job of smoothly following even very curvy roads, if their lanes are marked well, but on the interstate I sometimes feel the lane centering is reacting too slowly and then abruptly catching up an feels "swervy" for lack of a better term.
You didn't mention the green light projected on the windshield that indicates (along with the car icon above the steering column) that your car is locked onto the car in front of you. I rely on that light quite a bit when I set the cruise control. If you set it while going around a significant curve in the road the car in front of you will appear to the cameras to be left or right of you, depending on the direction of the curve. If that happens and you come out into a straight away with the car in front braking for a traffic sign or another driver, your car doesn't see it in time to brake. I guess the collision avoidance might stop you but the adaptive cruise won't slow you down. If you get the green light on the windshield, then you know it locked on and it didn't require taking your eyes off the road.
Glad you're still making these videos. They were really helpful to this old man when he bought his first "hi-tech" car.
I should've mentioned this, but they changed it in the 2023 models. It was exactly how you described on previous models.
@@alexpmo Alex, If I get the software (firmware?) update that changes the buttons on my infotainment screen, as you described in a recent video, is it going to change the adaptive cruise control as well?
@@mrhalfstep To my knowledge, it will not change the adaptive cruise control settings.
2017 outback would do the 1 and 5 mph bump up on cruise control
2022 outback only does 5mph increase
(Only years I've driven)
If you "long press" the speed button, you can change speed by 1 Mile per hour increments.. Takes getting used to it
Hi Alex. I always find your uploads very interesting and easy to follow, thanks. I do have a question - I have a 2022 Forester and get frustrated by the beeps and the message "Keep eyes on the Road", especially when I am at T Junctions or Roundabouts. Is there any way of turning this function off?
I have a Forester and have never tried Cruise Control on it. I will have to check the manual and read the documentation on Cruise Control just to make quite sure I understand everything.
Thanks Alex for this great video on adaptive cruise. I was afraid of it at first but I am more trusting now. I wasn’t aware that I can shut it off if I don’t want it on. I also learned in another video of yours about the acceleration speed setting. Super helpful. ❤ your videos and my Subaru outback.
I have used cruise control religiously for as long as I've been driving. I love it. My 2022 OBP is the second car I've owned with adaptive cruise control and that's a whole other thing. I use it even more than I did before. It's interesting that the current year models increment the set speed up or down 5 mph when you press and hold the set/resume button. My car increments up and down 1 mph when holding the set/resume button. If I just touch it, it will increase/decrease by 5 mph. When I first got the car, I thought maybe that was backwards but it didn't take long, like about 5 miles, to get used to it. ;-)
We have 2 Foresters (2019 Sport & 2020 Limited) and both are as you said... they speed up/down by 5 mph if you just click the switch up/down, and by 1 mph if you hold the switch up/down. I wonder why Subaru reversed that functionality?
Alex
I do like your videos, but you didn’t mention the little car symbol which locks onto the car in front I’m not sure why only operates sometimes. If you could explain in more detail I would be very grateful. Cheers from Australia
Many thanks for all you good videos, have watched alot since I just got a Subaru Outback. One thing I was missing in this video was the different LEDs popping up in the front when using the adaptive cruise control. Will try to find some on them in another video. Cheers
Thanks, Alex. My 2023 Forester is coming next week to replace my 2013 Forester, in which I can cancel cruise and resume cruise at the same speed that was previously set. Is there an equivalent cancel/resume function on the 2023 model? Thanks, Frank
We just purchased a 2023 Subaru Outback Limiited but have not taken possession. We have been watching all of your videos and want to thank you for the excellent instructional videos on the Subaru models, which have helped us learn things about the vehicle that otherwise might have taken a long time. Regarding the adaptive cruise control, is there a method for cancelling the cruise control without tapping the brake pedal? We previsouly owned a Honda CR-V which had a cancel button on the steering wheel controls. I found this very useful when using the adaptive cruise control and wonder if the Subaru models have the same, i.e. perhaps holding one of the control buttons when engaged or double clicking, etc.? Many thanks.
Thankyou! This is one of the best explanations I have found on how to use the cruise control on my Forester. You have also shown me that I am completely under utilising my car controls and menus, so I plan to spend some time going through them and learning how to use them properly. I'm so glad I found your channel! Thanks again Alex 🙂
Picking up my 2024 Forester Touring tomorrow. Just recently totaled my 2009 Forester (not my fault!).
On the 2009 (and what I'm familiar with for other older non-adaptive cruise), there was a CANCEL button to take the car temporarily out of cruise control. A brake tap had a similar effect. And afterwards, a press of the RESUME button would re-engage cruise control and the car would "resume" its previous speed setting.
Is there a similar CANCEL button/method for modern Forester and/or does a brake tap work similarly to CANCEL?
So to speak... "I want to temporarily suspend adaptive cruise while I manually control things for a few minutes and then I just want to resume the adaptive cruise just as it was prior, without having to SET my speed and following distance, etc. again."
I hope I was kinda clear. Greatly appreciating ALL your videos!
Alex with the cruise control. I set the speed at the posted speed limit. The posted speed changes say from 80kph to 100kph. I either have to press the up control button 4 times to increase the speed. Or, I am now pressing the cruise off button and than back on again to reset the higher speed (or lower speed as the case may be). I can't increase my speed accelerate (or brake) and reset the speed, it only goes up by 5kph. I am forever pressing the up and down cruise control button. What am I doing wrong or is it wrong. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. By the way keep these video coming. I'm teaching my dealer how to drive the Scooby
for the RES and SET buttons, a quick flick up or down is in increments of 5 miles per hour, a long hold down up or down is single digit increments or decreases. At least on my 2021 forester it is.....
That used to be true but got changed with the newer eyesight as found in the 2022 Forester and 2023 other models.
@@JamesSymmonds Ah ok! Weird they reversed it.
@@Jingles8302 Yeah, I guess they got enough complaints that the other way didn't work as people expected so they flipped it.
Received my 2024 Crosstrek today, my 2nd absolutely love it so far!!😊
I like your vids .... I hate the change to 1mph ... in town the speed limit changes by 5 mph up and down. Sooo i have to keep toying with the up/down button. I live in Montana so even on the interstate I have to deal with the 1mph when passing trucks. It was just a stupid change. I owned a 21 Forester and now a 23. This is my fourth Suby.
I've had my 2019 Forester for a few years and have been too afraid to try the cruise control. (Currently 2024.) Don't laugh-- prior to this I drove a Honda for 20 years and NEVER even once touched the cruise control buttons. After watching your video, however, I now feel confident about giving it a try on an upcoming trip. Most other videos on the subject don't give enough detail about what buttons to push and what they do. Also, your advice of using Regualr Cruise Control is helpful. I wonder if there is a way I turn the system off quickly without fumbling with buttons? (maybe by stepping on the brake?) What happens if I step on the gas to temporarily speed up? Will I be able to over-ride the set speed limit and maybe even permit me to (re)set a new speed limit? I'm not crazy about taking my eyes off the road to look for up/down speed limit buttons.
I’ve been getting the “eyesight disabled” message a lot lately. Is that normal for a 2023 OB?
it's not normal for it to come on unless something has blocked the cameras. If you've been getting the message a lot, I'd suggest having it looked at
@@alexpmo I took it in yesterday for an oil change and to ask about the random “eyesight disabled” notifications. They said that everything looked fine until I left the dealership and it’s been disabled ever since. I’m going to have to bring it back in. Sucks that I’m dealing with eyesight issues because eyesight is probably one of the best features on Subaru’s.
@@miss3104 sounds like it might need recalibrated if it’s stuck on or coming on multiple times intermittently
I find all your videos very informative thank you for that. I had one question though. Does the car give me a beep when I am going above the prescribed speed limit for the road that I am travelling on. For example if the road signs says 45mph then when the car reaches 45 is there a way it will beep so that we can stay within the speed limit. I ask this cause certain states are very strict on even 2 miles over the limit. That way we know to stay well within the limit if it beeps rather than looking at the gauge cluster all the time which could be hazardous
My mom bought a used 2020 Outback. The increase and decrease toggle is opposite than what it should be. A quick flick will adjust by 5 miles and you have to hold it to get it to move only 1 mile. How do you change that?
I know you will, but I’m interested in what changes they will make to the 24 Forester.
Just got a SOLTERRA in part because of your test video. Mine reads the speed limit signs, but doesn’t change the cruise control speed accordingly. My Ford does and it’s really nice. Is there a setting where the car adjusts the cruise control to the speed signs?
Great information. Explained cruise control well.
Thanks Alex! I use adaptive cruise control all the time! It is particularly helpful in a line at a pickup window, once the line of cars straightens out. Curves are a problem, but the straightaway to the pickup window is a piece of cake! Also when on the interstate be careful following semi trucks…they slow down ever so gradually, and I have found myself suddenly realizing I was doing 10 mph below where I thought I set it!!! I’m glad I am back in a 2023 Forester Premium…the 2020 Touring was just way overkill with the beeps and buzzers! Plus the overuse of chrome is just too much especially on a Subaru!
Hi Alex. I have a 2023 Subaru Forester Touring. I tried to turn off adaptive cruise control by pressing and holding the button and nothing happened for me. Does the enable/disable tip work on the Forester too? I assume no. Also, I tried the lane assistance on a trip through the mountains and to the coast. I noticed lane assistance didn’t like the S curve turns and many white lines on the road. I don’t fault the lane assistance because I was being challenged myself. Keep up the great videos. I am a first time Subaru owner mostly because of your videos. I was considering every make and model on the market and selected Subaru.
So informative! Thank you! I just tried the cruise control on my 2023 Outback Wilderness a couple of weeks ago. This video explains so much more! Does the power down option (not sure of the right term- but when I come to a stop and my car powers down...need to be turned off before using cruise control?
My 23 Outback keeps telling me to keep my hands on the wheel even though they are. That's annoying. Is there any way to default the speed increment to 5 mph instead of 1 mph? On my 22 Legacy, it went by 5 mph increments. I keep forgetting that I have to hold the button to go up by 5 mph. And on a separate topic, I really want to use a dash cam but the owners' manual seems to indicate that all the places I would mount it are off limits due to the Eyesight cameras. It would be nice if those cameras and the rear camera actually recorded the video.
Hi Alex,
I have a question on another subject: the Android Auto in my Subaru Outback 2021.
When an iPhone is connected while driving, the map view is full screen. However, when an Android phone is connected, the map view is not full screen.
How can we make it full-screen for Android Auto?
Another question: Can we change the default app in Android Auto (Google Maps) to another app (e.g., with Maps Me or Waze)?
Thank you.
PS Since my first Forester that had Eyesight up to and including my current 2023 Forester Premium, I find the car brakes much later than I would, and it gets way too close to the car ahead before breaking than I am comfortable with. I always use the slowest (economical) setting for getting back up to speed in order to avoid whiplash!!! But all in all I would not be without Eyesight and adaptive cruise control, nor would I consider anything but a Subaru!
Hi Alex, great content, thanks. One question, does the ACC make the car to stop when the car ahead reduces the speed to 0 mph? Or does the ACC disconects below certain speed?
A huge thankyou Alex. 😊
you're welcome!
Alex, really enjoy your videos. I have a 2020 forester . About the only gripe about it is the moonroof. I really think they should incorporate the foresters' moonroof to tilt in the aft or trailing edge. I know it's large but that would be a blessing to have it tilt up. Thoughts?
Btw, mine is a touring edition also. I'm sure there all the same on the foresters tho. Ty again.
Thank you! I agree, this would be cool to tilt. Not sure what the limitations are with the additional weight of the glass but doesn't seem impossible.
The 2021 Forrester I bought used in January only allows me to go up or down in 5 MPH increments when using cruise control. Any idea how to change that so I can do a mile at a time? Thank you! Can't find this information anywhere in the manuals that came with it.
i love your tutorials, im from philippines , we just bought Forester GT Edition 2023 model😊
Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I have quick question regarding tire pressure display in 19 outback. Does this car show on the dash the tire pressure in all tires? If so, which setting do I use to get that on display?
So helpful! Thank you - demonstration was perfect!
Thanks for your tips, very helpful to new owners
great video....have driven my car for five years and still haven't mastered the cruise control....actually I have no idea how it works....so, if I want cruise I take my Honda CRV...I know...pathetic....Honds is so straightforward and simple Subaru builds cars for people who like video games...I like simplicity.
I went from a 2008 to a 2019 forester and no one warned me that the cruise control went up by 5’s instead of increasing by 1. I was probably going 59, wanting to speed up to 65. I freaked out when my car thought I wanted to go 85. I’m so thankful that my 2022 flipped that.
The lane centering function on my 2023 Legacy keeps the car too far to the left. Is there any way to adjust this?
I’d like to know this too
My 2012 Forester has none of the features you described! All I have are Cruise , Res/Acc, Set/Coast and Cancel. I used to have this feature in a Pontiac Grand Am- which used just ONE button!!!
I have a ‘22 Outback. I use the adaptive cruise control on every trip. My one question about it is in the rain - on numerous occasions, when I’m passing a semi that kicks up a lot of water on the windshield the cruise control turns off. I find this problematic because all of a sudden I’m slowing down in a near zero visibility situation and I fear the car behind me won’t see it because there are no brake lights. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening?
I asked my dealer after it happened the first time, but even after a follow-up call they never got back to me. I’m hoping you have an answer for me. Thank you. I love your videos.
Hi,
I'm very much confused to which one to buy Subaru forester 2025 touring or Honda crv Sport
Is there a "resume" function? For instance if I'm crusing at 70 and need to slow down for some reason, can I tell it to resume to 70?
I found that lane centering is constantly over adjusting. It’s very annoying. To the point that I don’t like using it. Subaru needs to fix that.
just got a new 2024 Outback.. I can't figure outwhat the ( i ) button on the left side of the steering wheel does.. When do you use it and what does it do or show ??
Hi Alex! I have a brand new 2023 Forester Premium, got it yesterday. If I like using the Lane Departure feature and the buzzer, do I have to turn it on every time I start the car? I loved that feature in my Madza, and it was always on. Thank you so much for your videos. I have been watching them all while waiting for my car to arrive. I live in St Augustine, FL. Denise
When are dealers getting the Crosstrek wilderness?
Should start seeing them end of September/October
Alex, how to set memory seat on 2020 foresters? Tom
How do you resume cruise control without resetting the process. Like if you have it on and come to a stop and need to go again?
I had a question for you. I have been watching your videos. I have a 2019 Forester. The RAB is disabled. I tried your trick at being in reverse, and touching the RAB in the bottom left corner of the touch screen. It isn’t doing anything. I don’t see the ON/OFF for RAB. I didn’t know if you had any suggestions? Of course it’s a weekend, and can’t get the dealership. Thank you for any help!
Alex, have you talked about the Ascent and it’s engine? Can it handle it’s weight?
How do you pause cruise control when encountering construction zones without having to reset your cruise speed when by the zone? I have been tapping the brake to slow then using the resume button.
Thank you, your videos are very helpful. Is there a way to turn off the rear seat seatbelt chime? Thanks
Thanks for the tip about turning off the active cruise control. Can it be switched back on without turning the ignition off & on again?
There is a sway feature that has pulled me across the lane…independent of cruise control/lane centering. It was a surprise at first- I left it on, the dealership said they can deactivate it too. I will see…’23OBW ❤
Great instructional video! very helpful!😊
I have a 2020 Forester Touring and love adaptive cruise control. My only issue with it is that when it is engaged and I'm approaching a car that is stopped in front of me, it waits too long to start braking and scares me. Is the "start braking" distance adjustable? Of course I start manual braking from a comfortable distance, but that disengages adaptive cruise control and sometimes it takes multiple clicks of the switch when traffic starts moving to reengage. I'm concerned that I'm using the switch so much that I will wear it out.
I have a 2024 Subaru outback wilderness. is there anything special to know when towing with it?
Thank you. This helped so much.
do we need to click cruise button all the time to activate or is there any way that the adaptive cruise control button auto enables when the engine start/default and I can reset/set the speed limit when its needed.
Where can I find the video on how to set up the code to get into the car without the key fob.
I can not the middle rear seat belt in the rear seat 2024 outback limited !! Any help would be ❤… I see where the buckle goes into. Where is the strap ? I pulled down the rear arm rest where is the middle seat belt ??
Does the brake lights come on in a 2023 Subaru Soltera when adaptive cruise control is activated?
Discovered a problem attempting to start our 2024 Outback after leaving a store. Stepped on the brake peddle, pushed the button... Nothing... hummm well to be clear when I parked in the parking space I had the steering wheel turned 1/4 turn - with the wheel turned the center or the dash information area was blocked from my view. FINALLY I leaned over somewhat, only to discover the message being offered from my SMART Outback was to Move the wheel when I push the start button... Seems the computer didn't like the slight pressure being caused by the turn I made going into the parking space... which left a little pressure being applied to the sensors somewhere in the car... Once I made the suggested adjustment... Shazzzam !! It started perfectly.
I've only had my Crosstrek for a few weeks but I noticed one time at a red light, when the car in front of me pulled forward I got an alert that said something like lead car in motion. What is that and where can I turn it on/off?
Just bought a 2023 Forester Sport. It seems to me the lane departure feature can be activated without cruise control on. I'm just using the delault settings on the car. Great videos. Thank you!
Yes, lane departure warnings are on by default, and above about 35-40mph the lane centering will occasionally turn on automatically (if road conditions allow for it) but usually shuts off after a few seconds and is back to just departure warnings and mild departure assist. In my Subaru (23 Crosstrek) you can tell if it’s fully lane centering by the green steering wheel light and both lanes highlighted in blue around the car depicted on the dash.
I always keep the Lane Departure Prevention function on with the warning buzzer off. The complaints about the constant beeping and buzzing of the earlier models is mostly gone on my ‘24 Impreza RS. The only beeping I get is an EyeSight “object detected” rarely when I come up on a bit close at a stop.
2022 Forester StarLink climate control settings. Why does my air conditioner alway go on when I set my climate control for winter. How do I fix this? Please help.
if you tap the cruise control while active it goes into standy mode and you can drive until you set the speed again
Why isn’t my starlink icon on the infotainment center illuminated on a 2024 outback
I have a 2021 forester and when I bump the speed control button my speed goes up 5 miles per hour if I bump and hold it goes up one mile per hour. can I change this to the way the 2023 outback works? Thanks great videos. I download them and can refer back to them when needed.
Thank you for another great review, Alex. With all the modern technology on Subarus these days, many folks that own a Subaru or considering a Subaru purchase will find these reviews of a great help. A lot of salespeople don't keep themselves up to date on these systems.
you're very welcome!
Thanks for the video. I have known more than the sales people for all the Subarus I have driven.
Hey Alex, just got a question about AVH function, I love this thing so much especially driving in city but I have to click button to active it every time start driving, is there any way to make it default on?
Unfortunately all of the Subarus with auto start/stop require the AVH to be activated each time you restart the car. I also find it annoying since I use the AVH every day
At what point does Subaru expect the lane centering/ cameras to need servicing? What’s the cost to replace the center screen and associated computer if it were to go out?
1. RIGHT AFTER YOUR WARRANTY EXPIRES. 2. THOUSANDS $$$
