So I really think these Raiders especially from 2014 are very cool looking bikes. If I hadn't bought my Harley I was going to take a look at one that is for sale locally. I love the shape of that front fender that you put on it and that chin scoop. I never see these on the road anywhere at least around me so that would be another reason that I would want one. Great looking bike.
halo1313 haha yes i saw those new fenders and chin spoiler & i had to have em....parts both were about maybe 350 from. "low and mean" & the paint was about 300 but now i have a bit left over just incase those 2 parts all together were about 800$ painted & installed
Great review... your bike is gorgeous! I'm going to add the reaper fender with the chin guard from L&M too among other mods. Keep the vids coming... and thanks for sharing!
Where did you find this bike for 5 grand? In 2023 I can’t find anything in that range living in Las Vegas. The best I’ve seen is in the neighborhood of 7-8k.
Blackout taillights just seem like a bad idea for a bike, seeing as how you want to be as visible as possible. Buy hey it looks dope! My next bike will be a Raider!
I love the raider ...I was gonna buy one in case I could not find a 2010 Harley softail custom...I found one so I didn’t get the raider...I never have understood why people put radios on motorcycles..doesn’t jive with me
@@cointelproc.o.p.s.gangstal6367 yea I'm sure it rides nice and it's probably easier in the maintenance, the good and the bad of harley is their is no tolerance for error when it comes to jobs I consider open heart surgery, because on a Harley Davidson the pistons combustion stroke, it really is like a jackhammer and if you didn't set certain things right like bearings and clearance, you'd had destroyed the engine. Where as the Yamaha I had, to replace the chains, it was a job of it's own because the engine disassembly is very weird in how the sides of the jugs are just covers, convenient in some ways but definitely not traditional. I have no idea why they dont sound more like thunder, I dont believe it's a trademark thing. Harley motors are 45° and fires 45° where as that is around 50° and fires at 70° apposed. Btw I said I had an evo I meant to say twin cam 96. But over all, your bike is nice cause it's yours and your proud of it, and that's all that matters
Yes sir it is only cosmetic if could go back I would have left it stock. The actually air intake is those 3 slashes coming from the side of the seat, in there I upgraded to a patricks big air racing kit to combo the Vance and Hines & power commander together they had the biggest performance improvement from a raider forums posts.
thanks for the tips, i have a 2010 Raider I am always trying to find new items to put on it. Just ordered the Low and Mean Fender!! Can you provide the names of the lights and rim additions/decals?
hey man the red reflective tape is from "CustomTaylor33" he makes them for all bikes. make sure u get the right size. 21" in front 18 in back. & the LEDS there are so many difference brands...id recommend spend a lil extra for XKglow
thanks! have you done anything to loosen up the suspension? I feel like my bike rides a bit rough, could be the crappy roads around here... but still..
i havent yet played with my suspension BUT i was told at the dealer they can adjust it for your weight. i like mine how it is it may be better who knows but in happy as can be rn
Finally installed the low and mean fender and chin scoop. Have you ever gotten debris stuck in the fender that scuffed the tire? After install i immediately had tire rub but it appears to spin smoothly on the jack stand?
No, but I can say that the time my local mechanic shop pick up my bike they scuffed it up on there trailer stand since it sits so low. I think you might need to double check the spacing where you bolted it all on, ive heard other people having rubbing issues. Handle it quickly before to compromises your tire.
The patrick racing big air kits is installed under the gas tank, not the seat. I recently installed mine and the engine sounds a lot louder, without the air box you can really hear everything and I think that is annoying, I hope that I get used to it. Did you have any issues adjusting to the noices?
Nope i still have my raider and i love the sounds but i think most of the sound comes from the exhaust i suggest the vance and hines 2 into 1 for preformance & i hear 2 into 2 are better for sound
@@kodythebarber the bike came with the 2 into 1 V&H pipes when I bought it, I bought the Freedom performance sharp radius and I will install it tomorrow, I had both wheels chromed out and the shorter pipes will expose the wheels better. They don't make the 2 into 1 any more and I have been offered crazy money for those, I will keep them though.
Hi Kodythebarber, love the mods on the 2014 Raider, I bought a leftover 6 weeks ago, absolutely love it, I have a question, I just put on Freedom Performance Sharp Curve Radius exhaust pipes on today, love the look and love the sound, however, I'm getting some major 'decel popping' did you put in a Fuel Mgt System in your bike, what's the air intake system you have, can you let me know what you did to your bike to eliminate the popping on decel, thanks, again, great job on the bike.
mark brandecker a guy told me the popping on decel is normal with the new pipes and isnt hurting the bike. however the tune you have tunes the air yeah yeah bla bla but if you want to get rid of them pops u gotta dyno tune it
Hey dude, have you heard of Ivan's Flash. Just do a quick google search and that'll do it for you! but me personally i love the gun shot sounding back fires on decel haha
I don't think that air intake is functional. When stock the air filter in under the tank and the coils are housed in the side panels. It would be a heavy modification to make it functional.
U dont have to dyno the bike. Get fuel management system. OP does have one though he dont know much about it, he said power commander 4 theres a 3 and a 5 no 4.
I own a 2016 Raider and I love the bike, in fact, it is my favorite bike I have ever had. I am in my late 50's and have been through a lot of bikes. I have to be blunt, you may like it but in my opinion that front fender looks like ass.
Beautiful bike. Wish I could hear it run. I have a Yamaha and I am looking for that kit for the wheels that goes on the flat spot. Could you send me the link?
As far as what i would personally do, id ditch the graphics if you can, chin spoiler looks good but never made it on my wanted list..the front fender is a game changer and makes the raider stand out.. needs fender eliminator and led/hid lighting.powder coating some of the chrome wouldnt hurt either.... and the pointy cone style intake is sweet but not my thing. All in all its a nice lookin 1900
Just being honest.. fyi my raider isnt half your current one so really im just giving advice on what id do, not criticizing what you do... its a great bike you have buddy and I love the vlogs
